Approaching the Castillo from across the plains of the Duero Valley was already exciting, seeing it there on its natural tower of sandstone and our upgraded room took our breath away. Breakfast was par for the course for that level of accommodation in the area and dinner (extra) was welcome and our food was very good.

The road unto the Castillo was a bit daunting, as were the parking arrangements at the top. But small price to pay for the location. There were small details, particularly in the room that were starting to look a bit tired but that was probably reflected in the rate ... if everything had been perfect it may well have cost twice as much.

The views and the quietness of the location are spectacular. On a clear night, the sky lights up; we saw shooting stars two days in a row. The personnel are very welcoming and friendly. Especially Zoraya (I hope I’m spelling it right), she is amazing and very knowledgeable. She made our stay so much better with her attitude and friendliness.

The property felt a little stuffy but it can easily be fixed if they open windows and let it breathe. Also the road to the top needs some clearing because if you find another car, someone will have to go on reverse; but I actually walked and it was very nice.

The room was large and comfortable as was the bed. The decor or the building complemented the castle. Theirs no bar but you get drinks from the reception and that’s no issue. We spent a day relaxing on the roof terrace and the plunge pool was welcome relief. The restaurant was good and was the service.

Our second night in the restaurant was different from the first and the menu choice was greatly reduced, unfortunate as we were looking forward to steak and langoustine (prawns). The lounge area would benefit from a complementary coffee machine and maybe water it may encourage people to socialise in that area.

Great location and a fun one off stop for the experience. Staff were good and the room was fine (we stayed in the cheaper ones). The food was good and the views were great. Just bear in mind it's not a real castle, I heard a couple moaning about that but really, come on, if you can't tell from the pictures it's been rebuilt... anyway it's still worth a stay.

Well, in our room they provided us with a shower like something out of Star Trek and a toilet with more buttons then a thing with lots of buttons. I was so excited my girlfriend had to put a paper bag over my mouth to stop me from hyperventilating. Neither of these futuristic items worked. The shower just showered me with water and none of the jets worked and when I pushed the power button on the toilet it just buzzed and emitted a faint click. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Yeah, it all seemed a little tired but hell, what else are we boomers going to spend our money on.

My recent stay at The Residencia Real del Castillo de Curiel was nothing short of spectacular, setting a new standard for the picturesque views of the vineyards were both impressive and memorable. This hotel combines historical charm with modern sophistication, creating a unique ambiance that appeals to all travelers. This prime location allows for such tranquility —a rare find. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel['/

Parking is interesting, if you aren't used to using a non-manual car.

Beautiful location! The view was spectacular!! Bed was too firm, but only stayed one night. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Parking is available; however limited.

My room did smell of cigarette smoke. Very strong smell.

Location is perfect. 15min to Emilio Moro and to Penafiel castle. Staff is friendly and helped with everything. Breakfast was pretty good at 8.30-11. Lunch and dinner are available in the restaurant if preorder it at the reception. WiFi available anywhere in the castle. Interior is impressive.

The exit to the top was closed (bad luck). Soundproofing between rooms could be better.

The location is absolutely unbeatable with breathtaking views from the top of the tower. The staff were helpful the food in the restaurant was excellent, and the room was lovely.

Parking was a bii hazardous due to the hotel's hilltop location. The addition of net curtains would have greatly reduced the number of flies buzzing around. The basin in the en suite bathroom had no plug, making wet shaving without wasting water difficult.

Superb atmospheric experience in an old, old castle that has been very well updated...including an elevator!! The room was nicely sized and well appointed. The bathroom also very modernized. The food at the restaurant was exceptioonal.

wifi was weak in the room

Unique experience in a beautiful location. The staff were fab, even using google translate to explain the history of the castle. Really lovely breakfast.

The lack of soundproofing was an issue. The rooms are very clean but outdated and very warm. But what an experience.
