I spent a great week at Alua Village. With My Favorite Club upgrade I got a room with an ocean view, close to the main building. The room was nice, spacious, with comfy beds, cleaned every day. The food was good, every day you could have some fish or sea food which I enjoyed a lot. My children were happy to have ice cream after lunch and dinner. My Favorite Club option gives you unlimited access to a lounge with good coffee, snacks, soft drinks and good choice of alcohol and also sunbeds. The outdoor pools were rather chilly in February but an indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna fully make up for that. There is a nice gym available. There are some lovely cats living in the hotel area. The hotel is situated on a hill so you have to walk to the beach for a few minutes (and then climb back to your room :). The beach is lovely - fine sand, not too crowded, there are 2 bars on the beach and some water sports available. You can meet lots of chipmunks on the way to the beach and on the beach. There is a Mercadona supermarket just a few minutes walk from the hotel; there is also a bus stop nearby. All the staff at the hotel were friendly, nice and helpful

No water in the room provided or water pumps near the room so you have to walk up to refill each time or buy additional bottles from the shop. Food allergies are a little tricky as nothing is labelled so you have to ask each time which can be difficult to understand/trust. Tv would be handy to have a change language option or ability to use Netflix etc to watch a movie but this is a minor as you can just use phone/ipad.

The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Food in the buffet restaurant was varied and well displayed. Entertainment staff tried to include everyone as much as possible as most guests speak French - with activities throughout the day and shows at night. There are lots of sun loungers and a snack bar for when the restaurant is closed. Really good quality for all inclusive

The path leading to rooms is winding and quite steep and not very suitable for more elderly guests. There are no amenities nearby (bars, shops etc) besides a supermarket and the beach is accessed by a dirt track that's very steep and rocky - not good for flipflops! On the plus side for less than €10 a taxi from the hotel to nearby Morro Jable takes about 10 mins where there are lots of shops and the most amazing beach. Overall if you're looking for a good rest but don't mind a bit of exercise, Alua Village is excellent value for money.

Awesome experience! I love this vacation, the structure is very beautiful, the main protagonist in this place is the SPA, that adds something that other village doesn’t have, the food is good and the beach is quite near and you can also see the squirrel while you are going to the beach, the staff is very welcoming and nice. The animation is composed by funny guys, I would like to make the compliments to the contactee Tove, who she is always smiling and very funny! I would suggest this village to other people!

It is inconvenient to get on and off the hill

The hotel was great, has everything you need, very clean and staff where fantastic. The location is good, but a car is a must if you plan to explore. Food was lovely as well. Can't go wrong for the money.

The hotel needs to enforce NO sunbed hogging, as there where people reserving sunbeds and never using them, leaving their towels on them for the whole day. It was so bad, I had to buy VIP sun loungers as £10 a day to be able to able lay down at the pool side. If you main language is English, you might aswell learn French or German before coming 😅 as the activities staff not even once spoke in English the whole 7 days we where there, kinda felt left out.

We had such a rocky travel experience and arrived later then expected due to delayed flights and transfers and were starving and frustrated when we arrived but our mood quickly changed when we walked in and was greeted by a staff member called Simon who was so so friendly. He brought us around the hotel and showed us to the dinning area where there was a small bit of food waiting for us which we were thrilled about. We were a ten minute walk from the beach and the beach was amazing. Strongly recommend getting my favorite club it was so nice to have.

The food options became so boring that we left the hotel three times to get a Burger King because we couldn’t stomach the same food again.

We loved how attentive the staff were. It felt like a true 5-star experience. For example, we asked to change our room during the week when there were national holidays in France and Spain and so the hotel had a lot of guests and all the rooms were booked out, but the hotel staff took good care of us. They offered several different options to choose from without any problem. Also, they were super friendly about us requesting an early breakfast, which you can arrange at this hotel as early as 6:30 am if you also plan to go on excursions or go surfing like we did. Talking about surfing, there is a nice surfing school nearby, which picked us up from the hotel every morning, and the surfing spot (for beginners) was about 20 min away, so the hotel's location is definitely good for trying out surfing. The hotel is not right on the beach, you have to walk for about 5-7 minutes downhill, but to us it was not a problem.

- Room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Balcony was a decent size, as was the bathroom. - Pool area was great, and well maintained, ample sun loungers to chose from. - Staff were attentive and friendly - Food was good for the price point of the hotel - San Miguel on Draft as the All Inclusive Lager - Main Buffet area was a nice area, with pleasant outside seating - The Beach was beautiful, it's only 5/10 minutes stroll down a path from the hotel, it is quite steep, but unless you are extremely unfit then you shouldn't have any issues if you take it slow. - Yes there's a lot of French orientated activities, but we never felt unincluded. We're happy to be left to our own devices anyway. - The Sea, Beach and Mountain Views. - A La Carte evening was great.

- Very minor gripe, sunbeds around the pool could have been slightly more comfortable. Didn't stop me lying on them for 6+ hours a day though. - The AC in the room and in the hotel communal areas wasn't quite cool enough for me. Probably alright for most people. - Would have been nice to be able to visit the A La Carte more than once, maybe one lunchtime sitting per week also. It would have provided a nice break up the 3 times per day visit the buffet again. Or even be able to pay a surcharge for an additional visit.

Overall, my experience at the Alua Village was fantastic. The crystal clean ocean, beautiful sandy beach, delicious food, and overall accommodation satisfied my expectations, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

One aspect that I didn't particularly enjoy was the outdoor pool. In the morning, the water was freezing cold, which made it difficult to fully enjoy swimming or relaxing in the pool. While the water did warm up a bit in the afternoon, it was still quite cold, which was a bit disappointing. In my opinion, the hotel should consider heating the outdoor pool, this would allow guests to fully enjoy the pool, regardless of the time of day or the weather conditions.

this is a beautiful hotel with fabulous views. the rooms are modern and stylish with good facilities and we had a lovely sea view. the ‘my favourite club’ facility was excellent and well worth the extra money. Simon and Angel at reception were super nice and helpful. The food and drink offer was good and there were no queues.

the animation around the pool was far too noisy, considering only 10-20 guests seemed to get involved in the activities it was a shame that the music and noise spoilt the relaxation for other guests. My favourites club terrace is also directly above where the animation team make their very loud announcements! Although the food was good the desserts were disappointing- most were clearly made from left over fruit and rice. the rose/white wine is undrinkable.
