The hotel is in a quiet part of Hondarraibia, though still not far to walk to the centre and the beach. Staff are super helpful, and the room lacked nothing by way of convenience, comfort and decor.

While the hotel is only a few metres from the lovely estuary, it does not have a view of the water, although it does have an excellent perspective on the historic old town.

Super friendly staff, I got a bigger room for free due to availability. They borrowed me an umbrella to get around the city. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable, location walking distance from the center and 15min walk from the airport

You need to turn on the water for a long time to get hot water, and it made me feel a bit bad to waste so much. The isolation of the rooms is not the best, but it didn’t bother me as there were not many guests at that time.

Breakfast excellent (fresh orange juice). Located near the old town. Nice swimming pool. Friendly staff. Two connected rooms with own bathroom (ideal for families).

Distance to the beach (more than 30 minutes walk). Expensive. For info: near by local airport. However only a few flights a day, and none at night and therefore hardly nuisance.

The location was perfect for us. 2 minute walk to the bus stop for Irun and San Sebastián and 10 minute walk to either the old town (lift) or the newer part of town. Both great to visit.

I have nothing negative to complain about.

Rooms were great, beds very comfortable. The shower is in the bathtub, I prefer a seperate shower, but it worked well. The hotel overall is very nice, clean and everything we asked for was possible without problem. The pool in the garden is wonderful.

The restaurant could offer a little vegan options. They were able to make us something, which was good, and tasty, but it was difficult to communicate as we do not speak spanish and the waiter did not speak english very well. He did his best though, and I must add that it worked out, but maybe a mention on the menu that vegan is possible would be helpful.

We had connected rooms, which was a wonderful surprise! And both rooms large and very comfortable. Good location close to the spectacular elevator to the old town (which itself is a Disneyland-like miracle).

Relatively costly for being far from the beach/port area.

staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English. It is close to the seawalk, and the Old Town which we were there to see. We had a fine meal in town, there are a number of well appointed restaurants. The front desk assisted with reservations and taxi. Room was a good size and clean. They have a small bar and lounge area which was comfortable. They have parking on site; a real bonus for me as we had rented an SUV (asked for a small car, whole nother story) and needed room to park. Narrow streets and even narrower parking spots are the rule, unlike USA. So, the parking spot was much appreciated.

Restaurant was closed so ate at bar area which wasn't really set up for dining. They could set it up better for dining, especially when the restaurant is closed. Should've gone into town but it was pouring outside.

Most everything. Very good price for a 4-star. It´s close to the picturesque old town and the receptionist was helpful. Hondarribia is a good alternative for anyone wanting to start trekking El Norte in Spain. If you´ve already been walking a bit and need an adjustment, pop into Lasai for a Thai massage. I went like a jack rabbit afterwards!
