The morning staff was wonderful.. Our breakfast time always started with a beautiful smile from Aranxa (I hope am spelling her name correctly!). The views of the mountains were breath taking. On the day we arrived, we had lunch at their restaurant and it was amazing dishes... The attention to detail was evident everywhere!!

The evening staff was more business like... Not rude at all, but not smiling. We had an issue with the settings on the A/C and it was quickly resolved. However, the person helping us sort this out, made us feel as if we were somehow too ignorant to sort it out ourselves.

Very large room, comfy beds, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely views. We found the property with no problems at all and the road leading up to it wasn’t too bad either.

Room was a little hot and although one coffee pod per person is provided, a kettle with the option of tea would be nice. The “terrace” where you can choose to eat a simple, less costly meal than the restaurant needs a little TLC and thought. A marquee so quite open to the elements, makes it feel cold and because it’s separate from the hotel, leaves you feeling like you’re an inconvenience and rather abandoned.

The location was remote and very quiet with nice semi rural views. Arancia and Ischia were lovely staff and couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant at night had excellent food at reasonable prices but the option were a bit limited. Best steak so far in Europe. Parking is free and onsite. The hotel has rustic decor. Breakfast was very good with excellent barista coffee. The rooms have very good air conditioning for heating and cooling. The bathroom is a good size with excellent water pressure. The bed is very comfortable. The room is a very good size and has a functional desk.

The WiFi was very slow and unreliable. It dropped out regularly. The road in is about 3 km of narrow and badly maintained road (more a very long broken concrete drive). The hotel is about 4 km from restaurants and services so going in and out is a bit of a mission. The bedroom curtains were too narrow for the windows so not suitable as black out curtains especially when the hotel lights are on until late at night. Although the room was generally clean there was significant dust build up in the room and bathroom corners and dust bunnies under the bed and desk. There are plenty of power points but some are hard to access especially for a laptop at the desk.

The Location of the hotel is fantastic the views over the mountains and the open fields was great it was lovely to stay in such a nice hotel ( it is not to easy to find as its up a unmade road but what a view and what a nice hotel well woth the drive)

Nothing everything was good The hotel sent me a message saying that they had a wedding on the day I arrived and the music would go on to 12.00pm( Midnight) if I wanted to change hotels they would refund any monies paid It was such a lovely small friendly hotel I would stay there again no problem ( now that I no how to find it)

Charming, rustic property in the hills, about 20 minutes drive from San Sebastian. The road to the hotel is a bit difficult to identify and easy to miss but believe google maps and you'll get there! Food was excellent with large servings, so beware. Staff are multilingual (not all). We had the only bedroom with a balcony but it was well worth the extra. Go and stay there and enjoy the ambience.

Gorgeous building, great decor, friendly staff, delicious food at the restaurant.

Unfortunately during our stay the team was simply understaffed, leading to longish wait times. Not something that would stop me from going back, but I really hope management finds some more staff. One person doing both reception and breakfast is intense.

Close to the motorway yet also deep into the countryside, a blissfully quiet location with delightful, helpful staff, a fabulous breakfast and a great restaurant. We'd stayed here back in 2010 and forgotten how lovely it was. Very easy to access other towns in the Basque Country such as San Sebastián and Hondarribia.

Fantastic place to disconnect from our rushy days!! In the middle of the county but also very close to the big city of San Sebastián and the Spanish border with France. The personal was very nice and willing to help in our questions

The hotel is in a beautiful position on the hillside above San Sebastian. The room was large, light , warm and comfortable. The bathroom also had good quality towels and toiletries. Breakfast was included and had excellent choice. Ideal location on France/ Spain border for overnight stop. There is a restaurant which looked lovely but was unfortunately closed on some winter weeknights. However, the hotel did communicate that information to us so we were prepared and there is a snack room service.

The motorway higher up the hillside has a constant drone of traffic noise. Unfortunately this disrupted our sleep. If you are used to city noise....you probably wouldn't hear it but coming from a rural area, it did disturb us. The room was a double and large so a second arm chair for relaxing would have been nice.

Love this hotel! It is just so warm and welcoming. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is fabulous. My wife and I made a mistake as we had been driving all day and arrived hungry so over ordered so couldn't finish our meal which really ought to be a hanging offence as it was criminal to waste any of it! Great wines and very reasonable prices. We needed to leave early so were going to have to miss breakfast - lovely staff actually cooked us an early breakfast to order. So kind and caring. Above and beyond service and much appreciated. On the Spanish/French border and a perfect stopping place for travelling across Europe. If you are reading this and thinking of visiting - do it - you will be so glad you did!

Absolutely not a criticism just a warning/helpful tip to anyone coming for the first time - it is up a small slip road and sat nav sends you into the farm next door. The friendly farmer was obviously used to this as he directed us cheerfully. You might think you are lost - keep going you'll get there.
