The staff were superb and gave us a room upgrade and free spa access due to our anniversary. They gave us helpful tourism tips and restaurant recommendations. Thanks to the spa session we were able to fully relax. The room had everything we needed (and beyond) and was quite spacious. Everything was extremely clean and the interior design was classic and elegant. The electric window roller shutters were a plus to be able to achieve a proper blackout in the room.

The hotel is close to the airport, and I could hear a plane early in the morning. This was the only time I noticed as the airport doesn’t have many flights (perhaps 8-10 a day). It didn’t bother me much.

We really enjoyed Hondarribia after the crowds in Donostia, and we really loved this hotel. Whoever designed it had a very quirky but comfortable approach. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us. The served breakfasts were included in the price, had to be ordered the night before and were cooked to order. Large glasses of fresh OJ every morning, five kinds of breads and pastries, eggs, cheeses, meats and seconds on the made-to-order cafe con leche (pretty much unheard of overseas) all added to the great experience here. Oh, and parking, which is 15 Euros/night, is in a small outdoor lot adjacent to the hotel building. Very convenient.

Loved the decor!! It’s such a beautiful hotel and the room was extremely clean. Ther service was also exceptionally good. The reception room was my favourite space, beautiful yet so comfy and inviting with fire on that I spent few minutes to wind down and warm up even in April every evening when we con back. The breakfast had all I’d want. The spa was a bonus. Everything was perfect for our stay and I would love to go back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The staff were very kind and helpful. I came on my own for a solo getaway and felt very taken care of. Everything from breakfast to the servicing of the room to the bedding, was just fantastic. I had several spa treatments while there, all exceptional.

Nothing of note. The restaurant was unexpectedly closed due to some changes, so that inpacted how I sourced meals.

We were on a three week vacation to Spain & Morocco, and Villa Magalean was the highlight. This is one of the cutest hotels we’ve stayed in, and they offered us a free upgrade for our honeymoon. 🥰 Beautiful, spacious and bright rooms only a short walk to the elevator to the old town. Definitely recommend staying here!

Only complaint is that we wish we had more time at this hotel. A true gem. Can’t wait to go back!

Every part of this hotel is exceptional and beautiful. The staff are charming and helpful. The hotel is fully renovated in art deco elegance. The room was huge with a full length balcony, enormous bathroom, beautiful toiletries and a wonderful bed. If you visit Hondarribia you must stay here - it is 7 star

Breakfast was a mix of bespoke and standard ordered the night before and still excellent standard when served in room. The size of room and layout is excellent. The staff were very helpful keen to accommodate, make recommendations and dinner bookings locally which were excellent.

Only thing i can think of was having to park on the street as we hadn’t reserve a parking space.

Breakfast had to be ordered in advance so no buffet and samey. Nice room and balcony but expensive. Air Con was limited to 22 degrees from memory, wouldn't go lower

No bar service or food service on Sunday evening. Paying extra to park with over £250 for basic rooms and then an empty car park is not good. Detail lets the place down a little

Loved this small, charming hotel! Beautiful room--very light and airy and large. Great bathroom. Balcony was such a nice touch--and they'll bring your breakfast up for you to eat on the balcony for a small (6E) fee. Highly recommend that-it was a great way to start the day. We only had one night in the midst of 3 weeks of travel, and it was the very best night of sleep I had the whole trip. The bed was just great. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will definitely choose this place if I return to the area. I wish we could've stayed there longer.

Super breakfast! Very comfortable suite and bed, which was an upgrade for us! Very clean Great location for restaurants. Superb spa treatments! The staff and ladies in the spa are so nice and helpful. We love it here.
