First of all, the location is excellent! It's right at one end of the bridge, so from the room you will have the bridge view over the window (no balcony, though), which is so pretty and serene. Also the bridge is over a park, so you can go sit in the park in just a few steps from the Hostal. As you walk down the street, there will be more diners and restaurants hidden in some alleys so food is not a big problem at all. The staff was welcoming as soon as we walked in, and they asked us how the room was with a smile always. The room was nice and clean, with hot shower water, open closet, comfortable beds, etc, equipped with all things necessary. And again, the staff was still very friendly when we checked out.

A very nice, newly and modernly decorated small hotel and perfectly located at the very end of the spectacular bridge on the Obrigo River. The rooms are new, beautiful, clean, bright and very functionally equipped with all the necessary details and little things for a pleasant stay. The view of the bridge, especially at sunset and sunrise, is unforgettable. Dinner is prepared and served as in the best restaurants of the wirld, tasty, rich and plentiful. The boss, the host and his daughter Beatrice are very kind, helpful, caring and accommodating and take care of their guests with great care and a high standard. Everything in this hotel is commendable and highly recommended. I will definitely come back to this hotel where you feel like you are at home.

The dishes are fine quisines, so high prices are acceptable. But bread and wine, desert are costed separately, which is not common for pilgrims. They knew I am a solo, but gave me a triple bed room without a desk and some space. If they gave me a double bed room with a desk and chair it would make 10 score. Cold night...

We loved the cleanliness, the decent room size, the way the room was styled, the screen to keep out the bug, good water pressure with nice hot water, the VIEW, and the warm reception. We really wished that we’d stayed another night.

Dinner was a little expensive and served late for pilgrims, but this was no problem as there was an albergue with a delicious dinner right around the corner.

It enjoys a perfect location, overlooking the bridge at Hospital de Orbigo. The staff, (I imagine it’s family run), made every effort to make us feel welcome. The lunch was superb.

The bathroom screens were ‘modesty’ panels rather than proper walls and doors. We would have preferred a bit more personal privacy for obvious but unstated reasons.

The location is right on the Camino after the bridge. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had air conditioning. The food at the restaurant was great. We got a big salad to share (there were 4 of us) for the first course and it is probably one of the best salads I have ever had. My husband got the lamb and thought it was gamey, I got sea bass and it was great. Our kids got steaks and they devoured them.

Great location directly on famous Camino Bridge. The staff were very helpful and patient with my lack if Spanish. The food was truly outstanding...order the salad and Sangria. Would definitely choose to stay here when returning. The rooms were spotless ckean and very midern

The hospitality and friendliness of the gentleman that I assume is the owner was outstanding. The room was new, clean and modern. I had lunch in the restaurant and it was the best meal I’d had on the Camino over 21 days of walking - and I had a lot of great meals. Excellent location at end of the bridge coming into town on the Camino end with fantastic views.

I loved everything about Hostel Don Suero! The location is the absolute best in Hospital de Orbigo. Right at the foot of the historic bridge overlooking the jousting field. The room was fresh, clean, modern, great WIFI, comfortable, and spacious. The staff speaks little English, but communicates effectively. The restaurant served the best meal in 22 days on the Camino! This is a Do Not Miss even if just passing through. Have a beverage on the veranda and soak up the hospitality and relaxation that an efficient staff and the wonderful surroundings offers.

The hotel has an excellent location and the bedrooms and restaurant overlook the beautiful bridge. The rooms are outstanding with amazing mattress and pillows and very clean. The shower is very modern. Food was reasonably priced and the staff were courteous and helpful.
