Friendly and very helpful staff! Staff always ready to answer questions and provide answers. Good breakfast buffet; restaurant offers variety of food choices and we truly enjoyed everything we ordered.

Our room windows were high and small. Location is beautiful and we advise property to reconsider windows to bring in more natural light and better view.

The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We had an early flight out of Barajas Airport and it is only a ten minute drive away so it was very conveniently located. There is also a fantastic Malaysian restaurant only a 10 minute walk away.

The staff at the front desk were not particularly warm or welcoming (disinterested is the word). We stayed at the Barcelo in Salamanca on this trip as well and the staff on the desk there were much friendlier. Also, just a note that the free shuttle to the airport only runs from 7am so if you have an earlier flight, it's an Uber or taxi (for a family of 5, it was a 30 Euro ride).

Housekeeping. On two different occasions we had two different male housekeepers gave a quick knock on the door then just opened the door and came right in. One of these times i was only half dressed. When I talked to the supervisor about the young male not talking our dirty dishes, she was hostile and tried to make excuses and just plan lied to me. I was polite to her and just thought these guys needed more training. I am old enough to know when someone is lying to me or attempting to cover their ass. The hotel was nice about it and sent dessert to our room at no charge. Just thought you needed to know. Thanks.

The location is excellent - maybe 10 km from downtown Madrid, with a public bus stop right in front of the hotel. The Melia is far enough from downtown to have neighborhood restaurants with local - not tourist - meals and pricing, all a 15-minute walk through a nice park away. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially given that we were a very large group. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were larger than is typical in Europe. For me the area felt safe and comfortable, but it is a working-class suburb neighborhood; expect crowded buses at rush hour and noisy teenagers at the park.

The only issues were two days that the air conditioning was not working at all, and the remainder of the trip the cooling not working very well - the thermostat was set to 21 C (70 F), but the room never got below 24 C, (76 F) and heated up to 30 C (84 F) on two especially sunny days. This was not an issue in the breakfast are or the conference rooms - I would try a lower-level floor if I am every again in the area, I would go back again, but maybe not in the hottest months. The Internet was inconsistent; good at times, slow at others. Also, some female colleagues reported feeling the park was a little sketchy at night if they were alone. No real issues, just noisy 17-23 year-old boys in groups.

Booked The Level Suite. Ideal for myself and son for a short trip to Madrid for the footbal and some sightseeing in the glorious Spanish sunshine. The Suite was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, working aircon, TV to pass the time, rainfall shower was excellent and a huge space to sit and relax as a lounge. We had access into The Level which was fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Friendly and apporoachable.

Only small thing is I wish the hotel had a pool/sauna/steam room etc. The gym is great but having the other aspects would be fantastic.

We had 2 rooms booked for 4 people. The twin room was spacious and had a big window with a lot of light. The queen room was much smaller and had a tiny window placed high near the ceiling so it felt dark and confined (room 344). Both rooms were newly renovated and had luxurious bedding and towels. The shuttle for the airport was very convenient to the airport. For food, we walked 20 min to an area which had lots of restaurants and stores. Note that this hotel is far from the center of Madrid so you will need to take the bus or taxi to go there. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and cost 20 euros per person.

We did not like the room with the queen size because it had a tiny window and felt like a closed box.

The room was nice and quiet, the hotel is super convenient and near a corporate area in Madrid and the airport, this makes it a very strategic one. Actually, we were able to take the bus route 146 to get to downtown and come back without any issues right in front of the main door. The hotel has a restaurant and a buffet area for breakfast, both are nice and prices are OK, people are nice and keen to help anytime. It's super convenient the shuttle transfer they have to MAD airport as it's included.

Yet the transfer is included it has some schedules, so it's recommended to ask in advance the pick up or drop off times to avoid confusions and delays.

Impossible to drink a proper black tea - tea bags (both in the room and in the conference meetings) are of very poor quality - they were not refilled after the 1st day, - hot water from the coffee machines drips extremely slow - hot water in the pots during the conference is not hot enough That is my main complaint — but an important one! Additonally, getting to the city centre by public transport is time consuming and involves either bus changes (infrequent evening connections, possibly long waiting times) or a 15min+ walk though uneven paths in a park (which is tiresome with a luggage).

The hotel, restaurant, and morning buffet were exceptional. The breakfast buffet was the best I have seen. Could not fault a single thing.

The transfer to and from the airport was disappointing. On arrival, we had to wait an exceptionally long time compared to the other hotel shuttles, and the return to the airport was ridiculous. The shuttle was overloaded, and at least 6 people had to stand. I was wedged in between the cases and the driver. Not very safe at all.

Stayed for 5 nights so we could attend the two day Metallica concerts. We chose the hotel due to relative ease of transportation from Airport and to the Stadium. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus to and from the airport. 146 bus to Central Madrid stops outside the entrance. 15 minute walk to nearest Metro station. It would have been nice to be closer to the main attractions etc but as explained above it was an informed choice by us. Lovely, quiet, very clean hotel. Food and drink good and well priced. 16 Euro each for buffet breakfast offering a wide selection of cooked, continental, fresh fruit and coffee.

Not much we didn't like. Sometimes the wait to be served in the bar (table service) was a little longer than we would have liked. That being said all the bar staff were great, it was very busy due to being full with fellow concert goers.
