The hotel's design (both exterior and interior), the great hospitality of staff, the view, the room size and the fact it had balcony, plus the dinner we once had at the Hotel's restaurant. Their chef cooks very well.

The location, it is very far from city centre, and it is impossible to do it by foot, as it's on hills. We knew that, but even so, it is a disadvantage, as you always depended on the car (the Uber was too expensive, around 30+ eur round trip city centre-hotel and vice versa). For drivers who are beginners, it is difficult to drive from the road up to the hill where the hotel is located. They only had 3 types of breakfast and usually you had to pre-order. They don't serve buffet.

The place is very quiet, and nice. With amazing views, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfas is a full continental with quite a good amount of scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, ham, cheese, etc... Rooms are spacious enough and the terraces with views are great. There is complementary coffee, tea and water in the lobby.

My only improvement to suggest woud be in regards to the coffee which could be better. If I order a café or a café solo does not mean americano. I got americano. I would've prefered a good coffee in the morning not a watered down one, but I presume this is what many dutch, german and other nordic customers want. So, just mentioning it for future improvements.

We had planned on spending our last two days in Spain, lounging around the hotel, before our flight back to Canada. The views from the hotel, overlooking Malaga are stunning. Our room had a large terrace with comfortable lounge chairs and a small bistro set. The pool area was large, with sufficient lounge chairs and shade umbrellas. The dining room and breakfast area were lovely and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast while we were guests. The service and food were excellent. The handle on my suitcase broke, and I was given all the tools I needed to repair it. We loved learning about the history of the art throughout the hotel. Although we didn't use it, there was an honour bar by the pool and complimentary coffee, tea and water in the lobby.

The guest room is quite small, with little space around the bed. Multiple plugs in one outlet supported a mini fridge, standing lamp and telephone. None of them worked, We unplugged them and used the outlet for the fridge only. That worked. It was very windy during our stay, so we did not get to enjoy the pool area. Breakfast is pre-ordered and there are three choices. We found the quality very good, but the portions too large for us.

Charming in character. Great friendly staff who showed they have the customer at heart. The Room (7) was immaculate, clean and a truly superb view of Malaga area. A great sun trap too on the room terrace. If you get the chance, book room 7 for a great stay.

Right at the top of a very steep hill. A car would be advantageous as the walk to the top of the hill could be difficult for some. However its location is what makes this hotel so special.

Loved everything about the villa, a very unique experience and place. The decor was individual and stylish, art had a personal family touch. Our room was in a great position within the villa with great views over the city. The staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much bother. The food was delicious and delightful. We would love to visit again.

Nothing, but be aware that you will need transport to commute into the heart of Malaga, Uber is on hand.

The location is great. It is 10-15 mins drive from the very city center. The view from the hotel is amazing. The breakfast, and dinner place has amazing views. We were looking for a triple bed room for one night. It turned out to be great and even better for families with kids I believe. The hotel has a swimming pool. Staff is super nice.

It might be challenging to get there without a car. And the route could be challenging for amateur drivers, because last few minutes you need to drive steep slopes.

Beautiful views over Malaga. Comfortable room. Fantastic, friendly staff. Free parking. Close to airport. Quaint, characterful, charming property. Nice restaurant and good food/drinks. Calm and chilled atmosphere. Good pool area. Smart TV. Powerful shower. Little basket of toiletries in the room was a cute touch. Great hotel!

Quite warm in the building at times. Perhaps a little isolated and remote (which I wanted, as I wanted peace from the city bustle). I'm being picky! This is a brilliant little hotel!

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff which reflects on the owner himself. His brother is the chef for the restaurant which is absolutely lovely, super views and delicious food. Breakfast was very good indeed with much choice. Terrace area for drinks with panoramic views. Lovely secluded pool. Very nice room with terrific view, sun loungers on the balcony are a nice touch and complete privacy. Large, very comfortable bed and very good room facilities.

The fact we couldn’t stay longer!

Our room had a private balcony with magnificent views over the city of Málaga towards the post and the Mediterranean. We made good use of the hotel swimming pool which was a matter of a few meters from our room. The evening dining experience overlooking the city was wonderful with great service and excellent food. We had returned our hire car so, during our stay, we were restricted to using public transport. The buses to the city centre were frequent and timely. However, the walk from the nearest bus stop to the hotel at the top of the hill was a steep trek in the hot August sun. We did that only once, preferring to take a taxi from the taxi rank on the other side of the road from the bus stop. At a cost of only 5 euros, it was a bargain.

Having had breakfast after our first night, we decided that it was not good value with little variety and small portions on offer. The next morning we found a café-bar at the bottom of the hill near the bus stops which did good breakfast fare and good coffee for very little money.

Service was great, we felt well attended all the time. The views of the city are outstanding and the villa has a really nice ambience (quality wooden furniture and finishing, interesting decorations and modernist mosaics inside etc..). In overall a very smooth and nice experience.

The place is located on the top of a very steep hill so you either have to climb up which is very tedious or drive a car / take a taxi. The breakfast was nice but a bit lackluster (you can choose between the fitness, continental and Andalusian options).
