We loved absolutely everything about the hotel. It is a beautiful historic building but with every modern comfort and a lovely atmosphere; it is in the perfect location for exploring Ronda; it has beautifully decorated public areas and our room (number 2) was amazing - spacious, light filled and comfortable with a huge bathroom; all of the staff are so welcoming and helpful; the breakfast is delicious (we also dined in their Pura Cepa restaurant and loved it) So happy that we picked Hotel Palacio de Hemingway for our trip and would return in a heartbeat.

We loved everything

This visit was a complete success for us at this hotel. We were made welcome from the moment we entered the hotel. Our room was comfy and big enough for us and our bags. The location is just right, being near the famous bridge and and a relatively flat area to walk around, and close to eateries and shops. The breakfast was one of the best I have experienced. Plenty of options and healthy ones too. We also had a meal in the hotel during the evening. It was excellent quality and well presented. The staff were exceptional when we had the unfortunate experience of being accosted and pickpocketed. They spent time phoning our bank and speaking Spanish to cancel the card. We will be forever in their debt. Many thanks to them all.

We had an absolutely amazing stay in this hotel, the staff was exceptional, super helpful and the awesome receptionist even let us choose from two available rooms which we found very thoughtful. The hotel is very well designed, with great attention to detail that takes your breath away :) Location is great, very close to the famous bridge in Ronda and the restaurant next to the hotel is awesome even for just a glass of wine. We also had breakfast included in the price of our stay which was a la carte and absolutely delicious, staff everywhere was super nice and helpful!

Parking is a bit further from the hotel, approx 400 metres but that’s understandable given the location very near the historical centre of Ronda

The staff in the hotel are fantastic: both Eva who was there in the evening and was very very accommodating, and Paula who is at the reception in the morning were really very nice, The rooms are great (I was in #2 and I wished there was a chair to sit on!). The breakfast is great and the lady who manages it is very pleasant. However, when we wanted to have a drink at the restaurant (I understand that it is managed by a different company) their one waitress was very rude, in shooing us away, and telling us the tables were reserved for diners only, and we could not sit there for a glass of wine. Eva was kind enough to go and get us some wine from the bar and we sat at the reception (it would be nice to have a small parlour where guests of the hotel can relax; especially since some rooms do not have a chair to sit in). But the rooms and bathroom were very clean, and pleasant. We highly recommend this hotel in lovely Ronda.

That there was not a chair to sit on in my bedroom. And that I was rudely shooed away at the restaurant (which I understand is managed by a different company).

Hotel is a beautiful building in a great location in the quieter part of the town (though it is next to a fairly busy road). The person who greeted us on arrival and escorted us to our room was very friendly. We had a large and comfortable room with a great view and a very large, beautifully tiled bathroom. We ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of wine served by the glass so you could have a different wine with each course. We arrived by bike and were able to put our bikes in the store room overnight.

We arrived on a busy Friday afternoon and had to wait a while before we could check in to our room. The al a carte breakfast (included in the price of our booking) was very good but service was a little slow and we weren't asked if we wanted anything else after our main dish.

Excellent hotel in great location within 100 meters of the famous bridge in Ronda. Lovely hotel with an old-world feel and charm. Lovely welcome from the staff who were more than helpful. It was my partner's birthday so helpful make a fuss of them at breakfast, which was also very good! Apart from the perfect location, a lovely outside terrace to eat and drink late into the night which seemed very popular with hotel residents and people just enjoying the town.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel. We would return and it would be our first choice. Happy to reccomend it to others.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Great value for money, the hotel has an amazing design, the cleaning was 10/10, the room and bathroom looked great, the hotel location is so close to the new bridge. And the breakfast was really good, plenty of dishes that we could choose from the menu. Also the reception staff was really nice. They were so nice, respectful and helpful. What else could we ask for? ❤️ This hotel was just like the whole city of Ronda: spectacular!

No complaints. 😊 just fyi: If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the back of the hotel. It tends to be a bit noisy in the night.

Well friends, this hotel was great! My partner and I had a long trip around Andalusia and this was by far the best accommodation we had. The room was cozy, clean and comforting. Everything worked properly. It was clean as clean can be. The personal was very warm and friendly, very helpful and really adorable. The interior design is great also. So is the building itself. But the main thing that enchanted us was the breakfast. You can order anything on a menu that is so tasty and well cook. And the city, oh, what a treat! Thank you so much, Hotel Hemingway! We are coming back for sure!

We wished we can stay more. Nothing was unpleasant. Such a lovely place!

Great location within easy walking distance to all sights. Staff are exceptional - friendly, courteous and professional. The overall standard is consistently high throughout providing a relaxed and comfortable stay. Al à carte breakfast options were good as was the coffee.

The bed was closer to a standard double so a bit smaller than typically provided these days but the age of the building and room size no doubt determines this. Parking is an issue especially when you arrive and want to drop off bags, the arrangement with an underground carpark at the far end of the main street was helpful but it would have been easier to have the 2 hotel spaces kept clear for drop off only.

A beautiful hotel in a traditional style furnished with lovely dark-wood, in keeping with the old-world style. Comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed in the room. A delicious breakfast was included in the adjacent wine bar Pura Cepa. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

The only negative is lack of on-site parking, but on enquiry before arrival I was given the name of a parking garage only a short walk away with a discounted rate for residents of the hotel. There is a drop off point for unloading bags on the opposite side of the main street to the hotel - do not make the mistake we did and take the turning next to the hotel, as you will end up in the maze of narrow streets in the old town!
