A great location near Tarifa and the beaches, with the possibility of seeing a wonderful sunset. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, with a bath, fridge and kettle (very important for tea)! Great continental style breakfast included, and although it’s not obvious, you can ask for extras like fried or scrambled eggs! Also nice with ducks and peacocks roaming in the grounds.

The only real disappointment for us, was opting to eat at their restaurant for convenience one evening, as the food really wasn’t that special. There are plenty of nicer/cheaper places nearby, such as El Franćes or Los Mellis in Tarifa.

The hotel reminded me of some of the wonderful early 70s resorts in Florida and the Bahamas, nice quality, full of charming details from the live peacocks and ducks walking around the waterfall and pond to the super kitch mosaic fireplace. And the restaurant was wonderful (breakfast and dinners.)

I had to think to find faults. I guess that the access to the beach right on front of the hotel requires walking through rusty fences and going down a pretty steep path. But that was fun, and nobody comes to that area to go to that tiny beach anyway. The real windsurfing beaches are two minutes away.

at Receotion - Otman was - it seemed - concerned that the room that had been allocated required going up a relatively steep incline - and changed our room, - very considerate room was very spacious

Breakfast - we have visited Punta Sur several times before - and the breakfasts were a VERY special occasion - big display and selection - NOT SO now ! Still quite good - but nothing - nothing like before

The rooms were very cute, spacious, with comfortable beds. A/C is working fine. The food at the restaurant is quite tasty. On demand, coffee, orange juice, scrambled eggs or omelets at breakfast. The staff was mostly kind and accommodating. The swimming pool is great and occasional passing of ducks or peacocks adds a nice touch.

Restaurant is a bit too pricy. Breakfast could be a bit nicer, the cheeses and preserved meats are low quality

The garden is beautiful, dogs are allowed in the rooms, not crowded hotel. Restaurant was good, good breakfast, clean rooms.

We travelled with 2 kids & 2 dogs. The hotel accepts dogs, but only in the rooms. That we didn't like. If they accept dogs, they should be allowed at least in the garden and pool area. Like this, we were forced to leave the dogs in the room. They have a beach across a busy street. But the beach is wild, somewhat dirty, a bunch of sea grass and stones. It's hard to access. We went with the car to a beach up north, where dogs are accepted.

It's a really fun, eclectic property. We loved all the landscaping, peacocks, tennis and pool and having a good restaurant on site. Also, loved the privacy and size of our space - worked well for four people. The decor/photography is modern and edgy - the whole property has a nice vibe. Food and service were great. I like the big closets. Parking was also good.

No major areas of dissatisfaction.

Beautiful enclave, perfect to go with a group of friends as each room has its own little private garden area and also common spaces where we can all chill together and enjoy. Pool, tennis court, lovely gardens that are home to ducks and peacocks - you can ask for little more

Wifi could be stronger in the rooms - we were quite far from the main building and it was patchy.. not that we cared too much really!

This was our 2nd stay here. Find it very relaxing and love the garden/nature vibe. Tasty food, if a little expensive, but the Sterling/Euro exchange rate not good for UK travellers at the moment. Great location (short drive) for Tumbao kite surfing beach.

Found our mattress a little on the hard side. Love the use of the vintage and mid-century furniture in our room but the fabric on the sofa/armchairs was very stained. The fabric could do with being properly cleaned or changed.

I stayed here for a wedding and it was the perfect location for it. The staff, rooms, facilities (especially the pool) were all fantastic. The food in the restaurant was also lovely and we ate here most days.

This isn’t a dislike but just be aware that to leave the hotel for the beach or Tarifa town is safest by car. The hotel is in a busy main road.

Lovely hotel surrounded by lush gardens and wonderful large pool, restaurant in hotel served delicious food, rooms were comfortable and very spacious. Loved the peacocks roaming around the hotel grounds and the little lake filled with fish and ducks . Had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.
