To start with, Angel who runs the place was on the ball. He sent out plenty of info before arrival, including key-codes for access as well as a bundle of local recommendations for places to eat and things to do. When we arrived at the premises it was easy to access and we made our way to the room. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the superior double, and were glad to have paid the small extra rate for the room. It was well equipped and very clean, but also beautifully furnished. It takes after the Moroccan style of the Tarifa old town and really does it justice. We had a lovely stay at Estrella De Tarifa and really felt at home. As it was centrally located in the historic old town - there was always something to do, somewhere to eat on the doorstep. But tucked away, it was away from any busy thoroughfare. We managed to find parking for our rental car by the port for free but it may be harder to find parking by peak season. The property was thoroughly cleaned by the friendly cleaning crew who refreshed towels and bed linen during our stay. The shower was good and strong, perfect for after a visit to the beach - about 10-15min stroll away. Once again, Angel made sure that we were well looked after throughout the stay, always keen to help. We're happy to give this place a great review as it really was excellent and good value for money - particularly having seen comparably priced places elsewhere in Tarifa.

There was some building work occurring in a building opposite. Whilst it was all quiet on the weekend it was noisy on a couple of mornings. I believe that the work is set to finish in July but am not certain. We cannot fault Estrella De Tarifa but just to be aware of it.

The apartment was clean, bright, spacious and thoughtfully equipped. It's extremely well located at the entrance to the old city and close to the restaurants, shops and the beach. We only used the car once during our 3-night stay there. The host recommended a car park at 3 minutes walk from the accommodations and, although on the expensive side, it was very practical. The interaction with the host was very pleasant and supportive.

Although the beds were comfortable, the pillows were not so great. It was a shame we were unable to use the lovely terrace due to the very strong winds blowing during our stay

We stayed in room 10, the penthouse, for one night. We wished we could have spent an entire week there! The room itself is wonderful! You're up above most of the town, so the views are great! It's within easy walking distance of literally anywhere in Tarifa. You can open all of the windows and let the ocean breezes flow through the room. It's probably one of the most enjoyable places my family has stayed, and we've been around!

We loved everything about it. However, I have seen some reviews complaining about the stairs and/or lack of a lift. I have to say, if these stairs are a challenge for you, maybe walking around Tarifa won't be your thing anyway.

I needed to add another night to my stay and was moved from room 7 to room 4 which was fine except the bathroom in room 4 was can only be described as a converted broom cupboard You had to be a champion hurdler to get over the toilet to reach the shower and if your tall like myself there was no practical way to use the toilet comfortably in a usual manner and don’t even think about standing up by the toilet to clean yourself it’s impossible without cracking either your knees or your head ! Thankfully I was solo and only in the room one night I would not recommend this room for two people for a week - one or both would end up either constipation or injured !

The property has very good location in Tarifa. It is close to all shops, restaurants and to the port of Tarifa. The room was simple but good for a night. However, it was well equiped with an own bathroom and small compliments as a shampoo and soap. Tarifa is a nice place for surf or for a ferry trip to Africa. May be in the future I'll book again here although it wasn't the most comfortable plave I've stayed.

The room was actually on the street. I was offered a better one upon arrival at the higher floor but I refused it. I defenitelly sorry for that.There was a slight issue because the neighbours were a bit noisy. They have been chating loudly for the whole night and we couldn't sleep.

Perfect location just behind a thoroughfare with a good choice of cafe/restaurant. A workable electronic system for entry out of hours to allow for late arrival. Compact accommodation, with painted walls in a blue and white which gives a bright feel to the rooms. Exceptional help from the manager (Angel) in changing our room as we were having difficulty with stairs (we are in our mid-seventies) and proved a great help in suggesting where to eat.

I booked a superior double room , I was in room 7 The room itself was lovely, great layout had everything you needed fridge toiletries etc

There seemed to be a boxed in pipework in the corner by the bed which when ever anyone else in the property used their bathroom it flowed through the room very loudly be that late at night or early morning ie 6am - it was extremely loud and sounds like a waterfall coming through the ceiling - def would need ear plugs !

Moroccan décor and atmosphere of the entire apartment. In the heart of Tarifa, very close to the port. 300m to cheap parking. Kitchenette with fridge. Everything clean and tidy. The top floor guarantees unique views. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan, with the windows open you can feel a pleasant breeze from the water.

Friendly staff! Clean and comfortable rooms, with amazing and relaxing decoration. Great location near almost all of the coffee shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the beach and to the Port. And less than one kilometer to the bus station. Very good value for money. I highly recommend it.

Kadri was exceptionally kind and helpful, including allowing me to leave baggage stored, after official check out time. The accommodation was perfect. Lovely sunny room, with lots of ventilation via windows, comfortable bed, fridge, places to stairs clothes and baggage, TV, good quality WiFi, good shower etc. The room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Location excellent, with cafes and restaurants in very close proximity. Tarifa is a small, but beautiful place, and La Estrella is perfectly situated in the old town, for sight-seeing and enjoying the local atmosphere. I strongly recommend it.

I liked everything. For me the price point was perhaps a little high, but not really in comparison to other places in the area, and the fact it is peak season. However, it would make it personally difficult for me personally for me to stay multiple nights, but I was very happy with the accommodation.
