I wanted to stay somewhere off the beaten track on my road trip from Bilbao to Gibraltar and choose this hotel. The language barrier was a challenge but in my opinion that made it all the more unique and Google Translate did the rest. The elderly owners couldn’t do enough for me and made me feel extremely welcome. I went into their restaurant in the evening and I was treated to a fantastic meal, which was very authentic, and the food just kept coming along with a large pitcher of red wine - what’s not to like…… My room was rustic and comfy and I slept like a log, probably thanks in part to the wine. breakfast was continental, which I love anyway and set me up for the rest of my journey. Whilst this is out of the way and there is a language barrier, I found the atmosphere of the place really good as the bar also served the local villagers.

Nothing, it was all brilliant.

I had a very warm welcome, the room was comfortable, had everything I needed, a great view of the countryside and was traditionally furnished. As with the majority of the hotels I stayed in the cafe/bar was used in the morning by the local workforce, grabbing a bite to eat and quick beer before the working days grind. The location is slap bang in the middle of the hills ideal for mountain biking, motorcycling and alike. I make it rule when visiting countries to avoid the usual tourist traps and try to live and eat as the locals do.

There was a menacing bull in the field opposite but apart from that I can't think of anything. I would stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a genuine glimpse of Spain without any of the trappings of the resorts

We did not have breakfast, but dinner the night before was good, the owner and his family were helpful and friendly and although we do not speak Spanish we managed to understand them and they us, a bit of a drive of the highway but worth it, it is not a five star resort but a very nice three star.

Would have liked pillows on the bed rather than a bolster pillow, not comfortable at all.

The rooms were decorated and furnished in a traditional Spanish style, everything was clean and tidy and the bathrooms fully fitted and functional. There was a bar and restaurant at the hotel which served simple food that was acceptable. The owner of the hotel was a very nice guy as were other members of staff

The food options could have been greater but there was nothing bad to complain about.

The beds where really comfortable, children enjoyed a swim in the pool. Friendly staff and there was a/c!

Room smelt of smoke (cigarette) breakfast was a little poor and everything provided kept going very quickly with the amount of people there. We booked this knowing it had a restaurant for dinner when we got there we got told there’s no restaurant as no chef. So we then had to find somewhere in the middle of nowhere to eat dinner. The following morning we let the children go into the pool on coming back (fully dressed) we had to navigate through sprinklers shooting water out while the staff watched an laughed.

It was old and dated .. lock didn’t work on inside bedroom door, had quite a bit of difficulty with the key. Nobody spoke English weren’t explained about breakfast so missed out on it!!! But they did try their best

The man gave us the keys then disappeared.... the bar was shut so no where to get a drink. Ended up getting drinks from garage... pool was locked up. Didn't bother with evening meal . Breakfast was a shambles. I found it very embarrassing as I'd booked it for my friends.
