The property is impressive, very professional and friendly staff. They take very good care of cleanliness and the bedding was nice and comfy and clean. I was impressed by the activities and spa in the location and great indoor pool for my kid in winter time. I would love and totally recommend the property to my friends and will definitely use Riu in my next holidays. It was my first experience with Riu hotels and resorts and was a great one. Totally recommendable, the dance and activities for kids are really good. I was provided space to keep my luggage after checkout as well, Spanish people are too sweet , and my travel adapter was not working so they have all facilities which a person needs in urgency. I was provided adaptor to charge phone and return it back by keeping a little deposit which was quite fair. Drinks were amazing and food was great. Every little thing there was quite impressive. They have a great app where you can see the activities going on at particular time in hotel area and can join so it was easy to know when you have to get down the room and go. The sunrise and sunset was amazing from the room, it was no need for me to go on any sunset tour in Malaga and no need to step out for flamingo show as both I was able to get within the premises. Overall a most wonderful and amazing experience @riuhotels #riulovers There is a designer outlet closely which was beautiful and very nice, Christmas lights in city were amazing, I went for 6:30 show where the 16 angels light and music show is there , Christmas lights at Calle Larios. They have that switch on show at 8:30 and 9:00 as well, Its worth the beauty of Malaga city.

Oh dear so noisy at night, people shouting, screaming and banging doors in the corridors and walkways, rooms have no soundproofing, seems there is no curfew we where kept awake by revellers every night up to 3am this is the 2nd time we’ve stayed same both times,

This hotel is amazing, exceptionally clean considering how busy the complex is. Yes, the bars are busy but you're never more than 1/2 minutes waiting to be served. The self service area for mineral/wine/beer/ taps and coffee machine where always clean and stocked up with glasses. The heated outdoor pool and indoor pool also really exceptional, especially the outdoor pool considering it was January, it was really easy to get into. The food was always freshly cooked, well presented and consistently being topped up during the buffet times

The pillows where slightly uncomfortable due to the shape, they where a very skinny rectangular shape, whereas I'm more used to a larger rectangular one. But that's just my preference, everyone is different

Perfect facilities and food. Location and service very good. Beach very close. Lot of activities during the day, nice shows in the evening. Bars are open the whole day. Everything you need for your holiday.

breakfast menu a bit dull... the lunch and dinner very good. Rooms with windows to the pool, especially close to the bars are too loud... we asked to change the room to the street, much better. The only thing what really disappointed us was during the evening show Anastasia Russian song with Moscow views... as Russia is now in the terrible war with Ukraine, so many people are suffering - this Russian part of the program should be taken away....

Food and drinks excellent for all inclusive.. entertainment excellent All the staff from reception , entertainers , hospitality to cleaning staff were super professional and friendly always greeted with a smile 😊 Service from the bar and restaurants exceptional and always spotless clean at all times We love it here !

Absolutely nothing we didn’t like

Breakfast and dinner was really very tasty, a large selection of dishes. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious cocktails, spacious reception area where you can play board games in the evenings. The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the sea, cafes, bars, shops.

Very disappointed with the Italian restaurant. The selection was poor, the food was really not tasty, the wine was from the same barrels as in the main restaurant, only served in glasses, we expected Italian wine at least. Much tastier in the main restaurant. But this is just my opinion :) The sound insulation in the rooms is very bad, you can hear what is happening in the next room and what is happening in the corridor, a lot of noise.

Hotel Riu Costa del Sol offers a mixed experience. The facilities are adequate and entertainment options are good. Overall, the hotel provides basic amenities and entertainment. It may suit those seeking a general resort experience, but guests with specific dietary needs or expecting high-end amenities should inquire further before booking. The dining experience is great in Dolce Vita.

Food variety is good, with menu lacking in daily diversity. It would be great to have more healthy and vegetarian-friendly options, and less fatty selections. We had an issue in the bathroom, with water leaking after showering.

The Room - big room, but twin beds put together, kept moving out of place. The balcony was overlooking the hospital but it was a quiet room and you could still see the sea in the distance. The cleanliness was good, clean towels every day. Location is also good, easy to get to everywhere and the beach is literally just across the street. Meals were also good, plenty of choice in 3 restaurants. Drinks were also good with enough alcohol and soft drinks to choose from so didn't struggle. Staff is very helpful - smiles every day.

Pillows were not comfortable, 1 is not enough, 2 is too much. The entertainment was more aimed at older generation, did not watch any entertainment in full. Food - the meats and fish sometimes were on the dry side, but can't really avoid as it is a buffet.

We we're very impressed with the hotel! The room was comfortable and clean and the view was beautiful (our room was over looking one of the pools.) It was very quiet in our room, which was great! The food was great and a wide variety of choice available for everyone! The bar area's were lovely and service was fast. The majority of the week we we're there we didn't have a problem finding Sunbed's but for the last couple of days of our holiday it was an issue with some people reserving sunbed's early in the morning. It was also great that the hotel supplied beach towel's which you could go and change everyday! It is quiet a way to the main centre of town but we got a taxi there for €6 and walked back. Although there are shops near the hotel it would have been nice to be a little closer to the centre. The Staff in the hotel we're all very friendly and they all worked so hard! The staff in the restaurant and bars we're great and the cleaners also do an amazing job! We will come back to the hotel in the future as we had a wonderful week away!

The bath towels in the room are SMALL! It also would have been nice to have a kettle in the room! It would have been nice if there was other entertainment in other bars in the evenings. In general the entertainment was very good but it would have been nice to have another option to attend another form of entertainment in another bar.
