It was great accommodation with the kindest staff we met during our Sri lanka journey, also the room was clean, each day we got new bath and pool towels that smelled really fresh, breakfast was fantastic as well with good tea and sea view from restaurant terrace, there you can feel that staff cares about important details

Due to higher price and experience from another hotel I have expected better beach quality with some sun beds, umbrellas etc, nevertheless we had a scooter to reach Silent beach in 2 minutes, that is marvellous beach with free sun beds from local restaurant so it was not a problem

During our stay in Sri Lanka, this hotel turned out to be a wonderful surprise, exceeding all our expectations. Here’s a summary of our experience: • Food and Service: Absolutely spectacular. The quality of the cuisine and the professionalism of the staff were far above what we experienced in most other hotels in Sri Lanka. • Beach: The hotel’s beach is very good, but the real highlight is Silent Beach, just a short walk away. It’s truly incredible. • Internet: Works flawlessly throughout the property, which is rare and much appreciated. • Staff: Incredibly attentive and dedicated, ensuring a seamless and welcoming stay. • Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms, well-equipped, and offering all necessary amenities for comfort. • Value for Money: By far the best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka in terms of price-quality ratio. I highly recommend this hotel. Despite minor areas for improvement, the overall quality, outstanding service, and unique experience made our stay unforgettable. A must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Sri Lanka!

Beach Access: While the beach itself is lovely, the access from the hotel and the surrounding area could use some minor adjustments. A simple, low-cost improvement could elevate the quality and experience significantly

Actually we liked everything! Since we arrived we had the feeling we arrived at home, it s so cozy! great staff, great location, the room was huge and very clean, breakfast and dinner were amazing! It s one of the best hotels we ve ever stayed and we highly recommend it! 5 minutes walk to Silent beach and another 5 minutes to goyambooka beach with tuk tuk! The hotel even arrange the hotel transfer for us! So well done! All the staff were always smiling and willing to help! In the night was silent, we had our best sleep, the music there was so relaxing and with the view just wow! Thank you so much Aga Surf, we are so grateful for everything and can t thank you enough for your warm welcome! <3

We liked Everything

Beautiful place tastefully arranged with antique pieces of art or furniture everywhere. It’s old fashioned elegance mixed with beach lifestyle hip-ness. Everything works properly such as the aircon, fridge, shower, food is served quickly, requests are dealt with promptly, everything is very well done. The space itself invites for longer stays, it’s very relaxing by the pool, each house has its own terrace with couches and a (working!) fan. I stayed for 5 nights and could have easily stay longer! Thank you to the team and especially Indika who seems to keep it all together. Highly recommended!

The breakfast could provide more healthy options such as smoothie bowls, porridge, yoghurt or curd and muesli, smashed avocado toast. (The bread is actually lovely.) At the moment it’s all Western egg based with bacon and sausages. Sri Lankan breakfast has to be pre-ordered the day before, this should be standard on the menu and cooked in-house rather than brought in. However, the coffee is grand!

Great little place. Nicely tucked away from the more heavily touristed beaches, while still having several good dining options around. The room was a great size, probably the biggest of any on our Sri Lankan holiday. Staff were very friendly, especially with our two year old daughter. Shout out to Indeka (spelling maybe not correct?), who our daughter loved, and who went out of his way to help. The little beach is nice and good for swimming. There is a little bit of rubbish, but mainly because it is also a fishing beach. We liked that the fisherman were there with their boats (mainly in the mornings), as it felt more lived in. Silent Beach is close by and an easy walk. It is very nice there for hanging out, but not really a good swimming beach.

My only suggestion for the hotel is to make the restaurant area non-smoking. This was only an issue for us on one of the days when there were smokers, but it felt old fashioned.

An absolute gem! We ended up extending our stay because the vibe here. Kids loved it, didn’t want to leave. Nice food, nice drinks, location is great at this wonderful ”surf beach” (although none of us is surfing), the kids got so inspired they took their first even surf lessons. Staff is super nice and attentive, we got to rent a TukTuk directly through them, very convenient, and they recommended a few places to visit in the ”countryside”. And also, small detail, one of the best beds I’ve slept in…

Nothing really

The highlight of Aga Surf View is undoubtedly its prime location right next to the beach. The cabanas are spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. The pool area is fantastic, providing a great spot for relaxation. The staff members are very friendly and helpful, contributing to the overall positive experience. The vibe is peaceful and laid-back, creating a perfect atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Aga Surf View to anyone visiting Tangalle

The restaurant's prices are too high we ended up having lunch and dinner outside. The room decor feels a bit outdated for my personal taste.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aga Surf view in Sri Lanka and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The team at Aga Surf view was amazing, they were very welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. They were incredibly kind and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment during our stay. The beautiful garden was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of surfing. The food was absolutely delicious, I was blown away by the variety and quality of the meals. The location of the accommodation was perfect, right on the beach with a stunning view of the surf spot. It was the perfect place to catch some waves and soak up the sun. One of the best things about Aga Surf view was the fact that it was a hidden gem during the low season. It was quiet and peaceful, which made for a very relaxing stay. And of course, the star of the show was Lilly, the adorable dog who stole my heart. My wife and I had a wonderful time at Aga Surf view and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Sri Lanka. The combination of the beautiful location, delicious food, and friendly team made for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back and visit again!

Aga Surf View is a little paradise on earth! The 5 spacious and super clean cottages are located around a beautiful lush garden with a lovely pool. The restaurant serves amazing food, as well as the best coffee. We bought 2 bags of coffee beans from them as we liked it very much. The staff is so friendly and helpful, really taking the next step and being proactive. The beautiful Silent Beach (picturesque, but with huge/strong waves) is a 5 minutes walk. The beach in front of the hotel is more quiet and suitable for swimming. The next time we’d for sure stay more than 2 nights! Thank you!

If we really have to be picky; it would be nice not having to choose between a fruit platter or a fruit juice for breakfast. Other than that nothing but positive things!

The villa was huge and spotless. The bed was so comfortable, bathroom was big too. Separated so very quiet with a nice balcony. The pool was big and very clean. Loungers around the grass to allow some privacy when chatting. The restaurant bar has great service with adequate staff. Endeka speaks very good English, very attentive and so helpful. Nothing was a problem for him to organise including a private boat trip!! The food!!!! Wow from seafood to TomYum to fries and more the chef and his crew were five star. I visited the kitchen to meet the chef because I couldn’t believe how good it was and wanted to say thank you - the kitchen was spotless!!! The bar/ restaurant is on the beach but the access is a bit tricky - however Endeka was there again to assist. Great spot.

Nothing - could not fault Endeka and the staff - very well run to a high standard.
