The house was really nice, location good, close to tram station and they offered us a free pass for all public transport even for the small boats that cross the lake, for which we were very grateful. The room was very warm, clean and comfortable. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful.

There was no fridge in the room, it wasn’t a big deal but I thought I should mention and we stayed at the 1st floor thus we could hear the people that were serving food in the restaurant below us; it wasn’t very loud noise but if you are sensitive to noise this is an aspect that you need to take into consideration

Hotel is central in Carouge with lots of restaurants and bars and there is the tram stop right in front of the hotel. Very central. Staff were communicative after booking. Breakfast was good, all the continental items you'd look for.

Even though I had the garden view, which is the quiet option compared facing the main street (tram line), there were often staff from the kitchen or in general in the backyard so it wasn't as quiet as hoped given I was just above the kitchen/restaurant and its small alley. Not major issue but just to note for those thinking it'd be quiet.

Based on the descriptions and our expectations, I would highly rate this hotel. The room was not huge but sufficient for our 3 day stay (you can upgrade to a larger room). Breakfast is basic - cereals, some pastries and boiled eggs. The Hotel is outside of Geneva but only about 6 stops on the tram (which is free to use for tourists) and there is a station directly outside the hotel; so don't let the proximity to the centre/lake put you off. Courage also has a charm of it's own, with some boutique shops and numerous restaurants/cafes.

Noise from the Tram (try to get a room to the rear of the hotel). No air con (in fairness, this isn't needed too often).

The reception staff was nice and friendly. I requested for and was granted late checkout till 1pm as my flight out from Geneva was later in the day. Room was clean and cozy and breakfast spread was decent.

Even though I was supposed to check out at 1pm, the cleaning staff barged into my room around 12:15pm and demanded I check out immediately. He did not speak english and sounded very rude. There were not enough power outlets near the bed from which I could charge my devices.

Quiet suburb location but with tram line stop right outside and guests get free travel pass! Secure on-street parking for motorcycle. Manager is a biker. The hotel has an excellent restaurant but we wanted to see the fountain in the lake so went by tram to see it and ate in the city.

Because this is a historic building It seems unfair to say that the room was very small and had no aircon. . I mention it in case these are important points for other travellers. The room size and aircon are mentioned on the booking.com listing and the hotel provided a fan to move the air so top marks for disclosure and attention. If you want a huge suite don't stay here, but if you want a charming building located in a quiet suburb within easy reach of the bright lights then go for it!

Lovely neighborhood within easy and quick tram trip to central Geneva (tram stop literally outside front door of hotel). Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was very nice. The neighborhood itself was lovely: lively on a Thursday night; lots of families, cute shops, a good grocery store 5 minute walk away.

My only complaint was noise from the restaurant. Since they don’t have air conditioning, you need to open the window to sleep, and our window opened on the outdoors seating for the hotel’s restaurant. Not a problem if you go to bed later, but if you’re trying to sleep before 10, it could be an issue.

Superb location and excellent staff. It is located in a very pretty part of the city. There is a tram stop just outside. So convenient! Mr.Fabio is very courteous and helpful, especially if you need information about Geneva as a tourist.

The breakfast tends to get a bit boring if you stay more than two nights. It is not a bad spread at all. The coffee is made fresh. But it's exactly the same spread every day!

We had a very comfortable stay. As a family with 3 children, it's surprisingly difficult to find a hotel where it's possible to add an additional bed to one of the rooms, which this hotel was happy to do. Carouge is a beautiful old part of Geneva, with easy access to the centre, 10 mins by tram, but away from the more touristy area. The staff were very helpful. The decor is a bit dated, but it was all immaculately clean.

I liked the included breakfast, the location of the hotel, and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Also, the passes for the public transportation were very useful and I'm happy they were included with the hotel stay.

The late evening noise from the outdoor diners in the restaurant dining area in the back of the hotel was truly disruptive to sleep, sometimes continuing until midnight. The weather was warm in June and one needed to open the windows since the rooms were not air conditioned. The noise from the restaurant in the late evening was troublesome.

I really enjoyed being in Carouge, rather than more towards the center… And the tram access was fantastic. Right off the front curb. The room was very comfortable, as well as the bed. The staff was extremely patient with my broken French. They also did a really nice job with a breakfast.

It’s a small thing… But the hotel is over an extremely good, and quite popular Italian restaurant. My room window faced the outside seating area, so I kind of had to choose whether to be overly warm in my room, and have the windows closed, or open the windows and have crowd noise until 11pm or so. That’s a harsher description than I’m intending, but it might challenge some people to fall asleep.
