The staff was amazing. So helpful and friendly. We wanted to do more touring on the day we were leaving, and they kept our bags until late in the afternoon. We had dinner the night we arrived. Same staff, they work so much and so hard and yet still some of the friendliest service we have ever had (I am in the hospitality industry in the US) and these people are top notch! If you are there when they have pumpkin soup available, you have to get it, one of the best soups I have ever had!!!

This is such a hidden germ! The room we stayed in was fully renovated, with a nice balcony and a great view of the mountains. In general, we really appreciated the hospitality — the staff were very kind and welcoming and there were thoughtful touches like free coffee and water carafes in the communal area, as well as an “honesty bar.” After a long day of discovering beautiful Lucerne and its surroundings, you can try local beers in the garden under the shade of the trees (which seem to be frequented by locals as well.) The location is perfect as it’s very close to the city center (direct bus line, train stop 5 min walk away) but also gives easier access to Alpnachstad/mountains. We hope to be back!

Free secure parking was excellent and the property was easy to find. The staff were very helpful and when we had an issue with our first room, the room was changed without question. The rooms were modern, clean and well decorated. The breakfast was of a high standard and you could eat in or outside. We ate outside in the hotel at night and the food was of a good standard. The location was outside the centre, which could be a problem to some. All I would say is that the staff told us to take the no. 20 bus outside the hotel (as it is one route in and out), which took us to the bus station right in the heart of the city. We just paid by card on the bus. Getting back was just as easy, as we went back to the bus station and got the no. 20 straight back to the hotel - a great bus service.

Good breakfast, comfortable beds, quiet room with good views and balcony in a nice area. We took the train to Kries-Mattenhof and it was an easy and pleasant walk to the Gasthaus. Option to have dinner there also. Easy bus ride into Luzern from nearby. Better value for money than places in Luzern if you don't mind a bit of extra travel. Hotel lent us umbrellas because it was pouring with rain. Across the road there are several walks in a wooded area.

Nothing much nearby so you do have to go into Luzern for most things. No coffee maker in the room. There is a coffee machine and tea available in the lobby but it was not working on Sunday afternoon however staff made us a cup of tea to take to the room.

The breakfast was wonderful, bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. Close walk to the bus to get to and from the train station. Area felt safe and was quiet. Also, several restaurants within walking distance.

Only two large towels in room upon arrival but I was able to get another one. I never did figure out how to use the coffee machine that was available for guest use after breakfast hours, but I also never asked anyone to show me how to use it.

We stayed for one night and left after breakfast to hike mount Pilatus. Our balcony had a view of the mountain, which was lovely :) The food in the restaurant was great too! Breakfast was good. Standard breakfast but good. And I was surprised and happy to find air conditioning in the room! We were happy and would recommend this place :)

We would have liked to get up earlier for the hike, but they only serve breakfast after 8.00. It would have been nice to have breakfast maybe around 7.

The double room was very clean, neat, and spacious. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and there was so much to choose from. I loved everything. We were greeted friendly by the owner/manager, who spoke great English. He also gave us info on all the attractions in Lucern, which was awesome.

I am from South Africa and used to A/C making really cold. The A/C in the rooms does not make that cold. The staff could not understand English, but was a lovely stay.

The place was very clean, the staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel is located extremely close to a bus stop to the city central and train station. Walk less than 5 mins to the bus stop and about a 7-10 min bus ride to the central and train station.

In the family suite it was still very hot in the room even though they have a portable A/C unit in the room. Ran the A/C the whole time on the lowest setting and the room remained hot.

Friendly staff, excellent room conditions. Breakfast included multiple options; great coffee machine, breads, yoghurt, etc. Located 10-15 min bus ride from Central Luzern train station. You can also opt to walk 5-6 minutes to the nearest station (Matttenhof) to travel to other places. We would like to thank the staff for making our memories in Luzern an exceptional one.

The room might not be completely reachable from the lift. You might need to hand carry your luggage using stairs to reach the room, which was totally okay for us.

Hotel has good location, bus stop is 5 minutes away and it takes 10 minutes to reach the center (train station).The breakfast was basic but good, everyone should find something suitable. Room was very clean, small but comfortable. I could only have very minor complaint that the room was described as having wiev of the mountains, but the window was tiny and showed mainyl the street, that doesn't change the overall very good impression. The staff speaks english and is eager to help. Also the food in restaurant was great and not overpriced. I would definitely stay there again.
