The location (in the heart of Verbier) is the jewel in the crown for this hotel that provides basic but perfectly good accommodation and a breakfast that's sets you up for a days skiing. The room we were allocated had views of the mountains from two aspects. Beautiful!

It's unfair to criticise because price is very reasonable compared to other accommodation in Verbier but our room was not large without coffee/tea facilities and the ski & boot room could have been better, a bit more space with extra seating and although the door had a security code there were no private lockers.

So much! Location is excellent. Can’t get any better, especially if you are there for the Festival. Walking distance from the telecabine station, walking distance to the Salle des Combins concert hall. Central to everything. Great restaurant below. Room was spacious and tremendous - bright, clean, and with a wrap-around balcony with a lovely mountain view (sat there and worked there for quite some time and had a great view of the National Day fireworks). Very nice breakfast. Friendly staff/family. Such a lovely place to stay - value for money!

Hard to say because the hotel is truly excellent: Maybe if I were to mention one thing it would be that if you came too early for breakfast, not everything would be out and in place, eg the charcuterie, drinking water, water in the egg cooker, reading material. It was a matter of the more meticulous senior staff arriving, I think. Very minor issue. I worried a little bit about having your room key hanging in the open if you left it at reception when you went out, but this is Switzerland so risk is very very low.

The daytime location is brilliant as the bus stop to the Medran ski lift is right next door. Also, being centrally situated, there is such a wide range pubs, restaurants, shops. The lift makes suitcase access simple. At breakfast there was plenty of choice, and served beautifully. I was personally helped, when I realised I had brought the wrong plug adapter, and again when I had problems with my departure connection, and I am so grateful for the care received, many thanks 😊

It is not so much a dislike, but an awareness that in being central there is some noise from outside night-time activities. For many, this is so nearby for all who enjoy it. For those who are not night-birds, then the building and windows are sturdy, and so it is easy to cut off from the activities; it feels like a real retreat.

Incredible staff, went above and beyond to help accommodate requests for an extended stay during peak New Years period. Made me feel very much at home and welcomed whilst staying in the wonderful Swiss Alps. The Location is perfect, close to the lifts, and perfectly located within throwing distance of the two best clubs / bars in town Farm Club and Fahrenheit and right across the road from the secret midnight bakery 🤫. Highly recommend this hotel for a great stay at affordable rates, will be back next season for sure!

The hotel is greatly located right in the centre of Verbier. The owner and staff are super kind and helpful. Breakfast is rich and tasty, served in a comfortable area that enjoys a very nice view. Nice view also from the room.

Our room was tiny, and it looked quite a bit old-fashioned. Same goes for the bathroom, that was really narrow. On the other hand, this must be the reason for the attractive pricing (for Verbier) the hotel is offering, therefore a good balance.

was central and the very nice lady had our passes ready for the discount in the bike park for us 1st thing in the morning when we arrive so we could collect them and check inn later that day and even tho d hotel car park was full there is very large car park adjacent to it which we were given a free pass to get out out the next day

no A/C ... and the shower head was mounted at waist height on the wall which you had to hold over your head while showering

The Hotel Ermitage is at a very convenient location, nearby to festivities, to the ski lift, and still rather calm. The bus stop is right in front, it takes one station to reach the skilifts. The rooms are comfortable, the staff very kind, and the breakfast quite nice. And, the spa on the top floor has beautiful mountain views! Very relaxing after a long day skiing!

As mentioned by other reviewers, comfortable room, nice view, lots of choices for breakfast, from the usual cereal, nice bread, jam, croissants to boiled eggs, ham and cheese. You can even order espresso or cappuccino. Great central location, next to bus stop to the gondola (several free shuttles to different parts of the village). Supermarkets not far. There's a mini fridge in the room where I could store things for my picnic lunches. There is a ski room with a heated drying rack for boots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was fortunate enough to receive an upgrade from single to double room, which was much appreciated.

Exceptional location, bus stop right outside hotel, easy access to train station and restaurants, etc. All within easy walking distance. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent, good range of bread and spread, juice, eggs and cheese and yogurt with fresh fruits. Love everything about the hotel, especially the views of the mountains with the extensive balconies.

Room get hot in summer but comfortable with windows open except on nights when the crowds outside are noisy.

Excellent, central location in Verbier. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking available on-site. Opportunity to take a shower after checkout, in the afternoon after skiing for the last day.
