This is a little luxury in the middle of the bush. It was not the main seasion, we were the alone guests in the whole accommodation. The place is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was fantastically hot. The tent is big and there is all of the important equipment in it. The meal was very tasty and plenty.
The staff tried to do everything for us but it was a bit too much. A little fewer questions and more privacy would have been better

We love the camp setting, but it is very far from the gate, so anticipate miles of bumpy ride to the camp. The room is large. Once the curtain is put down, it is quiet and peaceful. Dinner and Breakfast are just OK quality. There is nothing to do in the evening except sleep. Overall, it is a fine camp in the wild.
Distance.

Good food. Fine location as well, although you can hardly see any of the surroundings, except for a viewpoint.
When you do a self drive, the camp is hard to reach. There are also no clear signs indicating the way and make sure you have the right one, 'cause there are two Balloon Camps in Tarangire. When we arrived, they forgot - or never knew - that we were coming, although there was nothing wrong with our reservation. Dinner was served two hours late. Paying with a credit card is allowed, but since there are often problems with the reception, the camp manager wasted half our evening by dragging us around his campsite for two, three hours to find a good spot to get reception. Waiting 'till later was clearly not an option.

The lodge is inside the national park, beautiful view and sunset, feeling of relaxation in the wilderness. Friendly staff and nice food.
Being inside the park also means that on top of an expensive lodge, you need to pay the overnight fees at the park entrance (quite expensive). We still decided to do this experience and spend one night and to go to the lodge quite early in the afternoon to relax by the pool after a long very hot safari day to discover that the pool is close to inexistent, full of bees and almost no water (that the elephants drunk few days earlier). The relaxation area around the pool is under construction so there is not much besides couple of chairs. The place is great and people were nice but all in all, not worth the very expensive overnight inside the park. The staff and Booking apologized but I got no refund or discount. Moreover, the difficult environment creates some constraints for the lodge like lack of water to refill the pool or electricity which is turned on and off at specific hours. Nothing against this (it's part of the experience) but a description would have been nice so that people know what they are buying.

We made the reservation six months in advance with Booking.com. Per Booking e-mail, my reservation has been confirmed and guaranteed. While traveling to the park, I received the phone call that there was no room available for us. At the time, all of the hotels on the booking.com has been sold out except a super expensive one, which would cost 10K for two days. Per our tour guide, the hotel overbooked their room and cancelled out the individual reservation made in Booking.com. They would never dare to cancel the reservations made by the local travel agency. We ignored the phone call and arrived at the property, demanding the host to fix the problem. The host promised us to find an alternative campsite nearby. After arrival at the alternative campsite, we found that there were only four tents to host five families. Two of the families have to share the family tent, where one couple stayed in one room and another couple stayed in the living room. There is only one toilet. It is the most miserable night in our trip. Next day, the hotel manager apologized for the inconvenient and wanted to charge us $1750 for the first night, averaging $437.5 per tents. Our original reservation is $400 per room and $2000 total with bigger room, bathroom and privacy. Having ruined our first day, the management wanted to charge $37.5 more per room. The hotel owner wasn't available talking to us. We had to relay our message to him by his manager. We were threatened not to leave the property without paying the $1750 first despite that we offered to let Booking.com to arbitrage the situation. We had become hostage. After another three hours negotiation, we finally settled at $1500 for the first night, and $1840 for second night, 7% discount, which the hotel owner showed his generosity and kindness. While the staff and manager were friendly, it was the hotel owner, who was determined to maximize his profit no matter how badly he screwed up his customers.
