super cute lodge, beautiful rooms and pool area. very quiet and remote, perfect to relax and go for a lonely stroll. benjamin had lots of tour recommendations and always checked in on us

no room service during our 4 day stay. to get to the ocean it's a bit of a walk, unfortunately there's no beach to stay at and during low tide the water is far. restaurant prices are even compared to other tourist places rather high (~30k for a fish dish)

I spend a wonderful relaxing moment in Kizimkazi, out of the north chaos. Love the charm of Kamaleon Blue. Does not give you the routine of common Zanzibar's hotel vibe at all. I loved my room, very stylish and cozy at the same time, clean and spacious. The bed!!! The staff was extremely efficient and friendly but not intrusive. The property had a fantastic position just next to the sea. and also a swimming pool where I enjoyed the early morning jet lag. Loved it!

I have just stayed for two weeks at this hotel, the property is so clean and the staff are literally the best team. The rooms are clean spacious and very traditional to Zanzibar. I have never felt more at home and more welcome by Ben and his team. The staff team have been like my family and have been so polite and always happy to help you with anything you need. The property has all you need, and the location is a short walk to the beach and to the shops. I want to just say thank you to all of them for this stay and to have got me through some bad news while I was over here. This hotel is a MUST if you go to Kizimkazi 👍

Can’t fault the hotel at all, the rain can sometimes restrict you but this is nothing to do with the property.

We loved our stay at Kameleon Blue. The place is in a really quiet area, few minutes walking from the beach. It has a beautiful garden with nice swimming pool. We enjoyed a lot the food in the restaurant, the only varied vegetarian menu in the area. The breakfast was big and super delicious with three different options to choose from. The staff was really friendly, very good vibes and we got really nice tips from them on getting around the island. You can book any day trip or transfer directly from there.

The staff and the owner are all so accommodating. It's vibrant and so beautiful the surrounding areas with trees, bushes, fruit plants and a great swimming pool. The rooms were gorgeous and suited everyone in our groups needs. Myself and Alex in a double.room with a private shower room and toilet. Our friends were in the backpackers area which was also really good and had curtains.yo.sectopm off the sleeping areas for privacy and a shared bathroom/ shower room. It's not slap in the middle of a busy section of the island so it's lovely and quiet at night. They provide breakfast with your stay and the food we had.from their restaurant was delicious.. Would recommend for family's and couples. 🥰

The road getting into the place itself is extremely bumpy and uncomfortable. Especially since the rainy season is just ending. It makes for a very slow and uncomfortable ride in the car. But other than that perfect

Beautiful laid-back vibe bar and restaurant area. Small number of rooms and accommodation. Service felt personal - staff are a true asset here and couldn't be more welcoming or helpful Room was on top floor of main building with balcony walkway in front giving view of the stunning garden setting and relaxed pool area. Taxis, trips, etc. can be booked easily from here. We arrived at 4am with taxi pickup arranged by the hotel from the airport.

Note water provided in carafes in the rooms is safe to drink as it is from large bottles. We didn't realise this for several days and bought bottled water to start with. Refills can be requested at the bar and cost little. Would have been helpful to have this explained on check-in. The sea is a bit tricky to find and is not accesible from the hotel itself. You have to go out the hotel down dirt tracks, go the wrong way, double back, see a half hidden sign...!

The nicest stay in our 4 weeks trip in East Africa. The staff is extremely friendly and the facility is really beautiful and well taken care of. We also liked the location: even if it hasn't direct access to the beach, it is at a walking distance from two beaches, one of which is really small and calm. The food was great and good value for the quality. Overall, it is a highly recommended place to have some relaxing time. Thank you especially to Melania, Elizabeth, Cliff, and Benjamin for taking good care of us ♡

Nothing, everything was great

A small charming lodge that is very well maintained, with beautiful villas and rooms built in traditional style, functional, furnished with great taste. I can only recommend the restaurant, delicious and reasonably priced cuisine, flexible meal times and above all, open every day. I would like to emphasise the friendly staff and the personal contact with the owners Annick and Ben, who helped us a lot with their great advice and help with our daily excursions. It's great to see that there are still such affordable, small and above all personal hotels that are also sustainable and environmentally friendly. We will remember this lodge as inspiring and recommend it to others. Congratulations to the whole team.

Fantastic place, vey airy, gigantic room, lots of space in common areas, super nice swimming pool, electricity 24/7 (thanks to solar panel), owner/manager is on site and a very nice fellow. Food at the restaurant is very tasty at excellent price. In my opinion this is the best place around (and excellent value for money)
