I had an amazing stay! The room was incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, with a the kitchenette. The location is perfect, peaceful and quiet, away from the noise, but still close enough to explore the area. The owner is fantastic, very kind, always available, and full of excellent recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. Motorbikes are available for rent, which is a great option for exploring the surroundings. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming place, this is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

That I didn’t book my entire stay there

amazing stay at the new moon bungalows with hosts artur and monica. the property consists of around 11 individual bungalows. rooms are modern, have a kitchen to do basic cooking, a fridge & a spacious balcony with a hammock. the location was perfect for me as it was in the middle of thong Sala and srithanu, only a 5min scooter drive to either town. scooters can be rented for 150 baht a day. cheap and fast laundry service directly at bungalows. highlight was the amazing hospitality by artur & monica. both are in love with their beautiful property and treat it super carefully. communication is super easy via WhatsApp. rooms were exceptionally well cleaned and artur and I had a great connection. he gave me good tips for the island and helped me out with an issue that I had with the scooter and drove me to my ferry the day I left. 10/10 stay, go there!

It was such a beautiful bungalow with a calm atmosphere surrounded by nature. The rooms were clean, spacious and had everything you needed and the balcony was really lovely with a little hammock to lay in also. The location is good with a cute cafe in walking distance (MIT) if you don’t rent a bike, but I’d say this is essential to get around. Everything is within 5-10 mins driving distance. The owners helped to organise a scooter for me with ease which made the trip even more enjoyable! The hosts Artur and Mònica were also extremely helpful/kind - I’d recommend this stay to anyone!

Nothing, it was really beautiful. The only slight touch I think is nice when you stay somewhere that wasn’t included is complimentary water.

This is an amazing place, Arthur is an amazing person, and it's really nice to be located in the middle so you can reach all places easily by moto - Arthur had a moto (new!) waiting for me when I arrived to rent so it was super easy to get around the island, with freedom! the bungalow was really modern and nice, and it was as if I lived on the island for the week I was there - definite recommend.

This spot is excellent value for money - the hosts are the most helpful and kind hosts you'll ever meet. The location is convenient for being near the pier and being central for motorbike trips around the island. The bungalows are very new and clean and have everything you need.

This is not really a problem, more just a heads up for anyone who prefers to party + sleep in late - these bungalows get bright early and have minimal sound proofing (probably the same everywhere on the island though) so IF you are hoping to sleep in late use eye cover + ear plugs (if you are sensitive to noise/light). This is definitely not something negative just a preference for some people! If you are going for day trips and stuff its perfect (you will definitely need a motorbike though)

A very good accommodation with balcony and hammock. It also has a well-functioning AC, a refrigerator and a small kitchen. However, the best thing about this place are their owners. A very lovely Portuguese couple. They are very helpful and interested in making your stay enjoyable!

Nothing big really: in the bathroom the shower is right next to the toilet and after showering the toilet is wet too. The bathroom could be lit a little better, but it's not really a nuisance. Inside there is nowhere to sit down besides the bed, but there are seats on the balcony. Overall nothing that should keep you from staying here

Everything was excellent, very, very little not to like. Artur is a fantastic host who happily and promptly accommodates requests. The location is good enough to get anywhere by bike in a reasonable amount of time.

Rooms aren't very soundproof, but it's an overall quiet area. Some road noise (I was closest bungalow to the road) and if a bungalow is playing music etc it's very audible.

Lovely owners, everything was just great and so easy, we were able to check in earlier and also to rent scooters directly with them. The bungalows are well equipped and detail oriented which I loved (so often you have appartments where I get the feeling it’s not meant to actually live in it 😄), also everything was very clean. It’s actually quite quiet although you live central nearby Thong Sala but to a central road to other areas on the island. The price per night was also good. So overall I highly recommend staying here :)

The couple that run the place are super friendly and welcoming and felt like you could have just been visiting old friends. The place is in great condition. Super clean and comfortable with nice little details around the property to make it feel complete.

Everything was fantastic but it might be good to know that in the duplex blocks with a shared wall the noise travels straight through. If that's something that could affect you best to ask for a stand alone unit.

Stayed at New Moon for two days and was reluctant to leave the beautiful cement cottage. The landlord couple was very friendly and you can see that they take good care of the garden. They also have a cute little black cat. You can enjoy the beautiful view just lying in bed. The location of the accommodation is very convenient, close to 711, hospital, pier and beach. I think I will come back here again.
