beautiful property, the room and view were beautiful and super comfortable especially the bed! very very friendly staff (big shout out and huge thank you to chris and cherry) food and drinks were good. close to thong sala

we were given a room near the breezeway from the restaurant down on the 2nd floor, and there was so much banging and moving things around in the early morning which woke us up grumpy. in a peaceful location like this you want to wake up to birds chirping not plates and chairs banging. also, a major downside was the amount of sunbeds at the pool, we were never able to get one because there were only 8. we sat on the floor which was very uncomfortable as we were coming for a relaxing stay. there is alot of space to add many extra sunbeds and i hope this is taken into consideration because the view from the pool and roof top is breathtaking and paying customers should be able to sit and relax on sunbeds.

The hotel is in an excellent location, though not directly on the beach. If you plan to rent a motorbike, it’s very convenient to reach many central spots within a few minutes. The staff was friendly, the rooms were modern and beautifully designed, with a lovely green view from the window. The pool was stunning, and the price reflects good value overall.

The pool had no shaded areas, and with the hotel fully booked, there weren’t enough seating options. Breakfast was okay but not exceptional.

Hidden gem in the middle of Phangan jungle. Varivana is an absolute sanctuary: crazy views, infinity pool, beautiful rooftop and super super staff always willing to help (Special thanks to Chan, Bryan and Chris!) Super good breakfast in the rooftop, beautiful views and lobby. Location is not convenient, but you know it as you have stunning views and a super chill atmosphere. Don’t expect to go anywhere by walk and rent a motorbike for your whole stay (I would suggest renting it in other place if you stay more than 2 days, as hotel prices are a bit expensive). Rooms are super super big and spacious, we only missed a sofa or something to put or things on. Bed is great!

Only bad thing was that rooms are not soundproofed so could hear everything happening on the outside, plus there is like a space in the door so insects can come inside the room. We were in the lowest floor and we could hear a lot of noise from the crickets. Either way, it was amazing and we would go back for sure when in Phangan. Thank you Varivana!!! ❤️

We were at this Hotel for about 12 days. The location is perfect. Not too far away from beach and main city on the island. You need a scooter tho cause theres no restaurant or shop near the hotel. But then again its very calm and you hear the jungle sound in the morning. :) And the hotel staff was amazing! Especially BamBam! He was treating customers with empathy and going the extra mile to meet all our needs! If its tips about events, locations or anything, he is your guy! Thanks again for that amazing stay!

The Hotel could install some sheets or sun cover on the roof to have more shade to be able to eat also at noon on the roof, else its too hot. Same at the pool area.

we got a complementary pick up at the pier which put us off to a smooth start. the staff was so welcoming and you get the best lemon grass drink when you arrive ;) the hotel is super new, very modern and chic with incredible lush views of the island. perfect place to watch the sunset and architecturally beautiful. all the staff we interacted with were professional, polite and more than accommodating - from the reception, to the waiters, house keeping and more, we only have good things to say about them. they also helped us rent the scooter for a good price. rooms have the best light, the shower is so spacious with a scenic view, the bed is so comfy we literally had the best sleep and the balcony has a massive cozy pillow that’s perfect for chilling on. also there’s an infinity pool ++++

we stayed on the first floor for one night and then decided to upgrade to the next best room (Junior). it was located on the 2nd floor (rooms are organized on 3 floors based on type) and it was worth the move. a tip would be to stay on the 2nd or 3rd floors as it really does make a difference. the staff were super accommodating when we requested to switch rooms. we did hear some yelling one night - just be advised the rooms aren’t well insulated so you might hear other guests. also the rooms are on the smaller side (good to be aware of - no full length mirror either).

our stay at the resort was special. We were able to enjoy the best view in a long time and had the beautiful infinity pool to ourselves in the evening hours. But above all we liked the service of the resort! Jewelery is a diamond in the truest sense. She translated for us and stood up for a lost cell phone. She was a huge help to us and you could always ask her for advice. The rest of the service, especially in the restaurant, was also excellent. The rooms are nice and clean.

Only a little more space for suitcases and cosmetics would be beneficial.

The hotel is really nicely designed and the views are amazing. The breakfast was faboulus, they even had vegetarian and vegan options! The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. We loved the location, it was close to everything yet a bit removed so it was very peaceful. We were really pleased that the staff picked us up at the pier and then we rented the motorcycle there, so all the logistics were very straightforward. I would definitely recommend staying here :)

Everything looks very nice on pictures and is very modern, but the value for money is not that great compared to other hotels in similar price range in Koh Phangan/Samui area. The hotel needs a bit of better up-keeping, walls could use a new layer or paint for example. We didn’t use the pool at all, because the water was so smelly.

Amazing property, for all people complaining about the stairs and size of the room or the breakfast. This is absolutely not true. The stairs are ok, there is an elevator, there is enough shade in the rooftop, the breakfast is amazingly broad and diversified, the rooms are super clean and spatious enough. For the people that say it’s far away from everything, your in Thailand. Rent a scooter. If you want everything from walking distance go to a all in hotel in bodrum, this location is absolutely perfect. Thanks again for the amazing days. The team was also amazing and willing to help with everything. People that complain about this place are nuts. 1 thing I agree upon is that drinks and foods is pricy, but there are enough alternatives to go to. It’s a boutique hotel what do you expect? I will be back!

The hotel's staff was very professional and pleasent, especially the resturant's staff. The breakfast was delicious and provided fresh cooked eggs and coffee. The rooms and the facilities were clean and the pool was nice with a good view.

The lighting in the room wasn't very good. you could open the drapes but the room would be very hot as it's facing the sunlight. There weren't many seating areas near the pool, and even though it was a no smoking area a lot of people were smoking near the pool which wasn't very pleasent. There weren't any staff members in the pool area at all.

Hotel is very modern and stylish, especially reception looks fabulous. Rooftop pool and bar has fantastic views! Bathroom is spacious, with all needed necessities and clean. Breakfast was very delicious with wide range of choices for everyone’s taste. Staff was very helpful and polite. Hotel offers complementary pick-up and transfer from the main pier. In general it was a fantastic stay for a great price! Would recommend it for someone definitely! 🙌🏻

Hotel is quite far from the city center/restaurants, so motorbike is needed every day. It’s possible to rent a motorbike from the hotel, so it’s not a huge problem.
