A very lovely experience as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The paths and gardens leading to the beach were beautiful and impeccably maintained. The rooms were tastefully decorated and calming, including the terrace and bathroom. Breakfast was great and the staff extremely helpful. This is a small relaxed and quiet hotel, but if you want action it's on the doorstep.

I would have liked a bed side table on both sides of the bed to put a drink, phone etc. This is compromised by the sofa. The bed was great, super comfortable though so small criticism.

when we arrived to the hotel, they offered us a romantic dinner with a seafood basket and offered us an upgrade to our room (with pool), for the whole stay!. it was raining so we weren't sure we could have it on the beach front. but the day came the dinner , the staff made everything for us to have this dinner on the beach and made us a beautiful romantic setting for our honeymoon. they really went out of there way. everything was amazing during our stay, the room was beautiful, the hole village is enchanting. the bed was really comfortable and everything was very clean! they offered us a lot of complementary things. Breakfast was also great! the location was also awesome in chaweng, not in the busy street but also a 5-10 mins walk to all the attractions and the beach bars from the beach side!

Overall the Buri Rasa is a great place to stay and the Village character with so much plants is really giving the impression to live in the jungle. The staff was very friendly and helpful, you just have to love the Thai Culture. They have a great breakfast buffet, where we have missed nothing. The direct access to the beach with its own sundbeds is really nice with a short way to the bar. And we liked the location as there are things to explore along Chaweng Beach in both directions.

Maybe it was just our room, but the air condition was awful. Loud and not very effective. And it was not able to lower the humidity as it usally does in other hotels, which is really something you quickly miss. Because all clothes will be wet eventually in this climate. There was also a regular stench coming from the drainage in the bath, which was annoying. And we don't recommend the private pool (save the money), which can be a great thing. But not here. It is cute, but just for sitting there (shaded) and with a high concentration of chloride (likely needed due to the shaded location of the pool).

Key likes of this property are the location, the staff, cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds. The location is second to none with a central Chaweng beach location but also far enough away from the really busy party areas around Ark and Elephant Bar. The beach is beautiful and having been to Samui 3 times this is for sure the best beach on Samui. Best sand and shallow / low wave seas for those less comfortable of bigger waves. The grounds have been maintained to a very high standard at Buri Rasa. High praise for the grounds staff - even to the level of picking up daily fallen leaves from the beautiful trees. Cleanliness is of a high standard and one that would be expected of a 4/5 star property. The staff at Buri Rasa are superb! Even to the point of dealing with a bunch of rowdy kids with the utmost discretion. Big shout out to Rit, Arm and Jun who were brilliant at their jobs and really helped make our stay enjoyable!

Only issue we had was with the size and layout of the room we booked. The room size was small and laid out badly with a bed pushed up against a wall and a sofa taking up most of the room space. Probably not the best Feng shui. As with other properties in Thailand we did notice a smell of damp in the room on arrival. Probably because the room is small with damp coming from shower room but this is only a major niggle and doesn’t take away from our experience at the Buri Rasa.

Failed to refresh breakfast items regularly. Most people were cigarette smokers . Went to sit on the sunbeds only to be totally engulfed with people chain smoking. There was literally no escaping, due to the small beachfront Not resort fault. Maybe there could be a non smoking section? Nowhere to was your feet in front of your room. Check in was a fiasco. We paid for airport transfers- who was very nice, yet when we arrived to resort. Demands of passport and money deposit and had to sign a document about smoking weed… 10000 tbh fine and police called….. before we were offered a welcome drink. And no cold towel. Bit disappointing when paying premium price. We stayed at other cheaper resorts and welcome service was much better.

We spent one week at Buri Rasa for our Honeymoon. It's been a marvellous experience, very very close to perfection! First of all, the environment is amazing: immersed in a garden, all the little villas look like traditional small houses, but inside are comfortable and modern. The beach and pool areas are magical, and we spent many evenings at the bar with a stunning view of the sea. We will miss this very much. The facilities are clean and kept perfect. We realised that, in one entire week, we didn't see a single insect (mosquitos included) due to how the staff takes care of the environment (which, again, is a garden!). The staff is exceptional, too. Everybody is very attentive towards customers and really made an effort to make our time there enjoyable. We would like to thank some people in particular: C2 for the entertaining conversations and for being so helpful with any aspects of our stay, Chai for the amazing trip around the island, and Jib for the best massage of our lives. Thank you so much Buri Rasa, we look forward to seeing you again!

Just a couple of aspects where there is room for improvement: The air-conditioning system in our room was noisy and way too strong, quite difficult to control it to make it weaker overnight. We appreciated the welcoming messages we received for our honeymoon (a splendid leaf-made text on our bed) but would have appreciated some extra treats for such an important occasion.

* Aesthetically beautiful in every aspect, from the teak check-in/welcome area to the garden-sheltered walkway leading to the pool and beach, where an open wooden door leads you to paradise. The pool was exceptionally welcoming, and the beachfront was pristine, with clean soft sand and comfortable daybeds. * Massive rooms with traditional elements, featuring a huge bed and a cozy lounge area with a smart TV with airplay (perfect for movie nights after big days); the spacious bathroom and heavenly spa were also highlight, along with high-quality complimentary water (this is a BIG win. it tasted delicious!). * Outstanding staff who genuinely cared about their guests, including our baby girl, going above and beyond to ensure our happiness and even making baby-friendly food; there was also no stigma about having an infant at this more mature, higher-end hotel. * Superb beachfront location, quiet and secluded, yet within walking distance of nightlife and activities, offering a safe and serene atmosphere; no disturbance from neighbouring hotels with beach clubs playing music late into the night. * The on-site restaurant served delicious food at reasonable prices, along with great drinks and a fantastic happy hour with cocktails. * Impeccable cleanliness, with hardworking and discreet staff maintaining the property meticulously, including mosquito control; the well-kept gardens also ensured a safe and calming environment for guests.

There is nothing to fault.

Location- Superb location. 15-20 mins walk to main happening place in Chaweng Beach & Shopping area . Many small hotels are nearby. BEACHFRONT - very near to sea. One can swim without risk. No big waves. White sandy beach Check-In - Check-in was smooth & fast . They gave room at 10.40 itself instead of 2 pm. Room- Room was reasonably spacious & clean. Good soft bed . More furnitures . Big bathroom with tub & shower room. Partial sea view from balcony as well as from bathroom. Breakfast - Breakfast was ok with sufficient items. Staff - All Staff were smiling always & did great service. Hats-off. Check out- Check out was very fast . Highly recommended for all types of travelers. Will come again with family.

A/C effect was not good due to hot weather. No sufficient fans coveing all seating area in restaurant. No dental & shaving kit provided. Whem asked , they said no. Considering the above , tariffs are slightly on the higher side.

Our stay was amazing! Hotel location is great -there is still beach even if there is a high tide. Shops and restaurants start 1 minute walking. Hotel staff was always nice and helpful! They provide continental and asian breakfast. We enjoyed also hotel restaurant and afternoon coctail 1+1 promotion. There is a daily room cleaning, beach towels+room towels change.

First 2 nights we stayed in the main street orientated room-which was really noisy -we travlled with small baby boy (outside bar night live music, fights promotion, sport day)..but it was changed for other room immediately as it was vacant!

We have travelled in Thailand for 2 weeks in total, going from the South to the North and then back to the South (hence a lot of travel time) and therefore we decided to end our holidays with a relaxing 4 day-stay in Koh Samui. Even though our stay was quite short, it was long enough for us to feel very sad when leaving this beautiful place behind! First of all, the hotel is perfectly situated at Chaweng beach with a shopping center and plenty of night bars and other activities in the direct surroundings. We were a bit afraid that there might be too much noise but the hotel itself is very quiet and more like a boutique hotel, with no more than +/- 30 rooms, and you’re definitely not bothered by the night clubs in the neighbourhood. Whether you want to party all night long or prefer to chill and enjoy the rest, here you have the best of both worlds! The rooms were very spacious and designed in a very cozy Thai style, and the pathway to the bar, restaurant and beautiful beach felt like wandering through the streets of a cozy small village. The food was very lovely as well: we were spoiled with a delicious breakfast buffet each morning with a good mix of Thai and Mediterranean specialities, and eggs the way you like them. We had dinner 2 times in the hotel, and don’t regret that we didn’t go for street food instead. Nothing can beat a cozy dinner date on the beach, with excellent service by the team, just the right background music and delicious dishes. What we appreciated the most during our stay, however, was the kindness, hospitality and positivity of the people working there. They do so much more than just giving their guests a memorable stay! Saying goodbye to this amazing team was very hard. I don’t remember when I last shed a tear when leaving a hotel, but here it got the best of me!

Everything was more than perfect!
