The hotel is like an oasis, with flowers decorating the common areas. We loved having breakfast outside next to the pool, a wonderful start to the day. There was also a lovely open lounge area downstairs, very relaxing and beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We liked the traditional decor with wooden furniture. The location in the old town is great, easy to walk around and explore. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The personnel was incredibly courteous and kind. And the house cats were friendly! We had a wonderful four-night stay.

The mattress was very firm which took me some getting used to. My husband slept as usual, no issues. The only thing I did not like was the so-called gym. It had four pieces of cardio equipment, one of which (the bike) did not work and one of the two treadmills was sagging in the center. It's a small space with a glass wall facing the morning sun. No AC, water fountain or gym towels, no spray & paper to wipe off the equipment.

Our stay at Kodchasri Thani Hotel was lovely. The hotel's convenient location within the walled city made it easy to explore the historic temples. The room was spacious, comfortable and traditional, featuring some Thai style furniture and decoration. The breakfast buffet offered a delicious array of fresh fruits, authentic Thai dishes, and the highlight: made-to-order eggs. For those who have an early morning tour, the hotel provides a convenient breakfast box that should be ordered the day before (until 4pm). The box typically includes a sandwich, fruits (bananas), a yogurt and a juice box. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Always greeting us with a warm smile. Overall, Kodchasri Thani Hotel provided a charming and authentic experience in the heart of Chiang Mai.

Lovely, large room and bathroom with very comfortable bed and pillows. I loved the seating area in the room. The garden is beautiful and serene to start the day with breakfast outside or just sit and enjoy the breeze. The lounges and pool are great escape when you want a break from seeing the nearby temples. Breakfast had a lot of choice and variety of food. Location was perfect and easy to explore everywhere in the Old Town and surrounding areas. Lots of bars, cash points, places to eat/drink just minutes away from hotel. The staff were always helpful and available with anything I needed. They even made Flower offerings of the Loy Krathong festival for guests to take if they wanted. Lovely touch

Staff were lovely and the hotel has an old style charm about it. Pool was designed so several groups could use it and still have a sense of privacy. Gardens are lush and gorgeous. Breakfast was standard hotel Asian buffet - I stuck to fruit and yogurt and congee or egg on toast but there were plenty of other dishes on offer. Lovely big room for the price.

A/c was quite old and very noisy which might worry some people. Similarly bed was very hard which was fine with us but could worry some. Maybe a shortage of power points if you need to connect several items. No hooks or towel rails to hang things (this is one of my pet peeves when travelling but again probably not a problem for everyone)

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, we truly felt like valued guests. The warmth of their welcoming hospitality makes this a very special place. The location is excellent - easy access to top sites while the neighborhood is a charming destination unto itself. Get a 50 baht bowl of noodles for lunch from the lady across the street. Or restock essentials at the family shop on the corner. This neighborhood has everything you need and it feels authentic. Take a moment to sit and appreciate the beautiful woodcarvings located everywhere you look in the hotel.

Our first room had a funky musty odor so the staff graciously moved us to a room without a smell. However, the shower in that room couldn’t hold a consistent water temperature. It ran hot and then cold and then it was fine and then hot and then cold and then fine, etc. But we were so charmed by all the other aspects of this hotel we didn’t complain.

Perfectly located in Chiang Mai, this beautiful boutique-style hotel exceeded our expectations. The incredibly kind staff made our stay truly enjoyable. When we requested a room change due to limited daylight in the ground-floor room, the gentleman at the front desk graciously accommodated us. The breakfast was good, and we loved seeing how animals, especially cats, are treated with love and respect. It was a delight to pet Lilly the cat!

The pool was a bit too cold, but this was only a minor issue.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was a good size and clean. Beds very comfy. Location is great. Pool looked nice, but never managed to use. Really like the fact that you have refillable filtered water bottles.

Breakfast needs to have more options for vegetarians/vegans. Perhaps museli and plant milk would have been nice.

The place has beautiful Thai decoration. The surroundings, garden, little fountains with koi fish, the cute cats and the essential oils are giving a perfectly relaxing sensation. If you need a place to wind down in Chiang Mai this is a brilliant option. Most zen hotel I have resided so far. Its personal character make it a very special place. Also the locations is central and the premises very clean. The breakfast also great and the personel very helpful, in general highly recommended!

A true hidden gem with its own tiny wat in the court yard (yes, indeed!). Rooms in the 2nd floor (2 interconected) very big, beds hard the way we like. Spotlessly clean. Pool and pool area very nice and clean, water cold to freshen up. Everything very nice decorated, sitting area near the lift a peacefull zone to relax or read - the best I ever seen in my life! Staff very friendly and quick in response.

Loud rave party somewhere very near EVERY night (we stayed 4 nights) until 4 a.m.!! I had to put music on my earsplugs (which is really not comfortable to sleep with) and still heard the beats, so this was the reason I did not sleep well. Only after 4 I could fall into proper sleep listening birds singing from the garden. What a pitty!

The welcome at the hotel was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged a couple of tours for us and this saved us the trouble of doing this ourselves. We used Tuk tuks a lot to get around and the receptionist often hailed them for us. The area was very convenient, inside the old city and within walking distance to local shops and good Thai restaurants. The hotel arranged transport to the airport and this arrived promptly at the arranged time. It certainly merited its 4 star rating.
