Lovely bungalows and restaurant on beach. The restaurant staff and some of the reception staff were wonderful. The grounds are well kept and beautiful surrounds. Great pools too.

If you are able bodied, this is a fantastic place to stay. If you have any trouble walking don't stay here. There are steep slopes, windy narrow paths and lots of stairs. This is the nature of the island. Came across a couple of reception staff that were quite negative and not helpful with a reasonable query I had. I am not a fussy person by any means but in this instance felt they could have tried to offer an alternative or at least a suggestion. They were not as friendly as other staff I've come across in hotels in Thailand.

We loved the property! The rooms were up on the hill in the trees with a huge terrace with table and chairs and a seating area. The terrace had a fridge which stayed on all the time so good for keeping meds in. Tea and coffee making facilities as well. Could see the sea through the trees from our room. Waiters came to bring drinks to the pool. Restaurant was right in the beach -great for sunset. Staff were really friendly. AC in the room was great. Worked well.

Could have done with a wee bar as it was not possible to get drinks after the restaurant shut at 10pm but good fridge meant you could buy at shops and drink on the terrace.

A slice of paradise, you feel as if you are in a secluded cabin in the jungle, it really is a special experience. There is lots of nature and wildlife around you. The location is great, and it's a short walk along the beach to some bars and restaurants. The pool area is lovely, very well kept and cleaned. The staff were very helpful, helping us to book excursions etc.

Pool bar wasn't open, staff came around occasionally to ask if you would like something- but this could have been more often. The water in the resort smelled really bad- I understand they are self sufficient in getting their own water but it was very smelly and some green sludge came out of the tap. Be mindful if you don't like bugs, you are staying in the jungle! Our room had some ants etc. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay a lot!

A nice comfortable stay being close enough to the pier to go to any of the restaurants but far enough away. Large rooms spread out throughout the facility and in an eco based location.

Whole resort needs extra maintenance and it could be an outstanding resort. The pool needed a good vacuum as there was rubble about and wouldn’t recommend if you had kids as there is sharp tiles. Drinks are overpriced and it would be good if they changed breakfast as it was the same everyday. Overall an expensive stay for what it is.

This was the BEST place I could have stayed! The pools are so beautiful and refreshing after a hot walk over. The location is a perfectly hidden, classy spot, very close to the dock but away from the hubbub of the port town. It is a jungle hideout sort of resort. It would be fun for kids too. You can rent a scooter right there on the property, and the man there was lovely. The restaurant was good, and the breakfast is great! You can catch a beautiful sunset over the ocean for dinner.

We couldn’t fault a single thing. We wish we could have stayed longer and this definitely is the perfect resort to base yourself in Koh Tao if you want quiet and chilled holiday. Our favourite spot on our journey around Thailand’s islands. This side of the beach is nice and quiet and cleaner than the other side of the pier where it seems a lot of the hostels and dive places are. The seafront villa was immaculate and large with all the little extras that made it great. Day bed on the deck was perfect!! Bed was super comfortable with mosquito net and extra pillows. The facilities we used at the resort: Private long boat for the day highly recommend! Laundry service great always back the same day. Restaurant food was excellent and happy hour cocktail’s were great value. Motorbike hire perfect. Staff were super helpful with recommendations and super friendly. Everything you need is at the resort to make your stay memorable.

The staff was super nice and friendly and the resort is really nice overall. It's also very close to many bars and restaurants so that one doesn't have to eat in the hotel restaurant every day.

The hotel is kind of in a jungle, which makes is special. But it also means that during the night many "jungle sounds" like frogs are to hear and they are sometimes pretty loud. This is nothing the hotel can or even should change (to keep it real and let the nature be nature). But we thought it's worth mentioning this as very noise sensitive people should maybe look for something else.

I felt very good here. On a whirlwind tour I hadnt paid much attention to the delights of each accommodation but I felt so relaxed here - just the fact that you had to take your shoes off to enter the restaurant turned the chill level down a notch or two. The location of the property was great, in front of the sea. We got a pickup from the pier and were driven by a long road so we thought we were far from the action but it takes less than a 5 minutes walk to the pier, to the bars and restaurants, so you are directly on the spot and thought you have a nice and cute little beach just for the hotel! As it was raining we could not do much other first 2 days, but we could relax on the bungalow with the amazing surroundings. After that, it was very convenient to rent a motorbike in front of the reception and explore the island. The stuff is very helpful and helped us to book the boat and lend us a mosquito spray when ours was about to finish. The breakfast is good with an amazing view and the food at the restaurant was also very tasty. We got a room upgrade, and despite we could not see the ocean, it was a very pleasant, spacious, and cleaned room with all the amenities we needed. And the cleaned towels smelled always so good...

We could have been offered an upgrade for a sea view room since the hotel was pretty empty. There are a lot of mosquitos, as you are in the jungle, so put your spray and we even bought an electric repellent device. The music from a nearby bar plays along the night so it can bother the most sensible sleepers, but not me! Even though the staff supported us on booking the boat, we were not advised that when arriving to Donsak Pier we would not be able to book a Grab or Bold, so we were a lit lost upon arrival, but we managed afterwards. For someone with mobility issues may be an issue, as the bungalow access is not easy.

The location was superb! quiet with a touch of nature but only 5-10min walking (depends where's your cottage) to main street and pier, where you can find everything you need. The pool area was nice and clean with drinks service! You also have sea accessibility with a small private beach however from the 2nd day sea was rough and too high so pool came in handy. Breakfast was also very delicious and you have quite a lot of options. The staff was always very helpful and kind!

We miss a closet or more hangers in our cottage a bit but we had two boxes where we fit almost everything. For that big resort 3% card charge fee surprised me.
