Room was spacious and new. Clean. Lots of effort made to make you feel welcome. Lovely pool, cheap scooter rental delivered to your door. Its an easy walk to Charlie Beach - but we hired a scooter. You'll need one, or cheap tuk tuks (50 baht a person to anywhere) to go to town, but there are eateries within walking distance too. Hermit crabs. Day trip to Koh Kraden + snorkelling. Overall we loved the place and the hosts. Charming , helpful, godo value, and clearly lots of effort put in.

The beach isn't really a beach but don't worry - everyone goes to Charlie beach - the water there is unbelievably clear and accessible at all tides. The main white sand beach you see in Koh Kood promos isn't really usable - just bear that in mind - but it's nothing to do with this place.

The staff is the asset of the hotel, nothing is too much for them. In addition, this hotel is one of the few with swimming pool, which we enjoyed a lot (most of the time, we had the whole pool for ourselves).

The breakfast is simple and the same every day. The bed is too hard, just our personal preference.

It was clean, and rather cheap. Pool was really great, especially if you just walked back from the main streets in the heat.

Location is in the middle of nowhere, not much to do. Either taxi, or by foot (luckily it’s 15 min walk from the main streets). There is no beach nearby, the shore is mangroove forest, thus it’s muddy, not suitable for swimming.

The Sun Great Resort stands out for its extremely friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms are very clean, and the food is good, making for an enjoyable experience overall.

However, there are a few drawbacks. The outdoor area still looks like a construction site, which detracts from the overall ambiance. Additionally, access to the hotel is only possible through the beach, requiring guests to walk through the sand—a challenge, especially with luggage.

The hotel is located between the city and Charlie beach, so you need taxi or scooter everytime you need to see something. There is one good restaurant in walking distance. The pool is great, however there are steep drops on each side and no fence, so keep an eye on small children. The house are nice and clean. But the beds are as hard as concrete (even for Thai standard). The houses are built on pillars in a swamp. The tide comes in under the house every day.

Because this place is not walking distance to town where most bars/restaurants are, it would be great if the resort could make lunch and dinners available (only breakfast is available) as well as drinks.

Pretty close to Charlie beach, ten minutes walk. Big and clean rooms with lots if space.

The location is pretty off, far away from the center. The bungalows are sourrounded with mud and The sourrounding area is not very pleasant. No hot water in the shower.

- Staff burns plastic garbage just behind the bungallows, smelly cloud can be smelled throughout the resort - Pool is not chlorinated, the staff uses other chemicals that irritate the skin - Ground under the front bungallows is gitched like mole mounds, looks terribly and in the pits stays water sinking a little - Breakfasts are the same every single day, only 3 options to choose (eggs, toasts, pancakes, some Asian soup)
