Location is just inside the old city, and is convenient on foot to all of the main Bursa sights (you absolutely do not want to drive between sights). The restaurant in the courtyard is atmospheric and the food is excellent--feels like another time and place.

Parking could be an issue. Google maps took us to within 100 ft of the property, and then I parked and walked. The manager/owner was waiting for us/expecting us, and he was very helpful. When I said that I wasn't sure if where I had parked was good, he walked out and said it was just right, and clearly would have fixed it if it wasn't.

Location, breakfasts and breakfast team! We’re walkers so everything we wanted to experience was within walking distance. The historical value of this property is well preserved. We liked the daily water availability and comfy slippers. And wow, they prepared a To Go breakfast since we had a very early flight out from IST. Thank U!!

We didn’t mind all the stairs but if you have trouble with stairs you may not want to stay here. Parking is very difficult but available- need to be a patient parker since parking has a very tight fit. Hotel staff is will and available to park vehicle if you need assistance.

Kitapevi was the most charming boutique hotel we had ever stayed in Turkey. As soon as we stepped in, we got dragged into the magic of this historical Ottoman house. Mr Harun welcomed us in such a warm way and accommodated my mother’s knee problem in the most generous way of offering a suite on the entrance floor free of charge. A beautiful man indeed. Mr Kılıç gave us a great help with all the luggage and finally Mr Murat made us feel like we were visiting an old friend with a genuine kind heart who we had reunited after a long time. And the breakfast, you need to experience it! Thanks to Ms Mizgin and Mr Furkan :) Kitapevi will be our home in Bursa.

Not a single thing!

Historic building is set high on a city rampart with great views and easy access to the main sights. Breakfast is beyond complete, and dinner options are a notch above anything in the area, drawing many reservations for rose petal-covered special nights out. Good wine selection, which is almost non-existent in Bursa.

Wifi needs a security upgrade, and Internet was completely down for lengthy periods. Digital TV was devoid of signals and not worth fiddling with. Pricey relative to Istanbul comps.

What a superb and characterful place to stay in lovely Bursa. A former book shop, the hotel twists around a central stair case with a great garden or breakfast and. drinks. Lunch and dinner is also rather wonderful and out of the ordinary. We took a room with its own hammam and of course it wasn't cheap, but you can't put a price on bliss. And the host and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Just brow is the great mosque and the covered bazaar. What fun!!

This lovely boutique hotel is situated in a restored historical building and is lovely decorated with different antique furniture and accessories. The feeling is really as if you are travelling back in time and history. The people are amazing-so friendly, kind and always ready to solve any problem! Great location - quiet surroundings, nice view and so close to the historic centre.

A lovely 200 year old property with antiques and interiors that fit the era. A large room with a comfortable bed. It was in a very convenient location to all the main sites.

The service at the restaurant was hit and miss. The wait staff seemed either preoccupied with others or not aware to ask if you’d been served or what you may like.

Very nice spacious room with a very large bathroom area and also a sunken patio like sitting area with glass windows above. The plunge stepped bath is lovely with very hot water.

The sunken patio like sitting area seemed visible from outside of restaurant area and also into bedroom as no privacy curtains such that possibly even bed area could be seen by someone sitting at a table outside particularly at night time when lights on in the bedroom - this made me feel uncomfortable until I hung some towels where the see through curtians were. The entrance is up some steps and the bedroom is then down another set of steps so slight difficulty with my heavy bags but staff helped with carrying them

We had a beautifully designed hotel room in an Ottoman-style house with an epic view on the entire city. It is located close to the silk market (recommend to visit). The hotel has a beautiful, scenic backyard to relax, eat in the restaurant and enjoy the amazing (!) breakfast they offer in the morning. Very friendly staff and very clean room and bathroom.

Very beautiful, picturesque, memorable hotel, very well located in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was delicious.

No real issue. Please note that the staff do not all have a strong level in English. Also, lots of stairs! The hotel is on top of a city wall (but can be reached by a longer, less steep street).
