Great location for sightseeing, with a short walk from the center of the area. Great location for watching the balloons early in the morning. We could watch the balloons in our room and just outside the room. Very private view compared to other sightseeing spots. We specifically stayed in this hotel to experience the cave-like ambiance. Morning breakfast is also very pleasant, due to fresh food and the view. You can ask for cooked eggs. Very satisfactory pick.

Wifi is unstable in the hotel room, located about 50m from the lobby. Wifi is strong in the lobby. Many areas in Goreme have weak wifi, so this is acceptable, I think. Water is not warm, closer to cold. Needs consideration if staying for more than 3 days. The pool is not functional. We stayed in other hotels that opened the outdoor pools at the time. It would be nice to share opening months of the pool.

Our stay at the rock of cappadocia hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking views that surrounded the property. Whether it was the sunrise over the mountains or the serene sight of the town at dusk, the scenery was simply unparalleled. The hotel’s decor added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, with beautiful flowers thoughtfully arranged throughout the property. Adding to the enchanting atmosphere were the fruit trees scattered all over the hotel grounds. Walking among the citrus groves and seeing the trees heavy with ripe fruit was a delight for the senses, bringing an element of natural beauty and abundance to the entire stay. Breakfast each morning was a delightful affair. The variety and quality of the offerings were outstanding, with each dish prepared to perfection. Fresh, local ingredients, including fruits picked straight from the hotel’s own trees, were the highlight. The flavors were both comforting and indulgent, making every breakfast a memorable part of the experience. The staff at Rock of cappadocia were truly the heart of the experience. (Lady fatima and the young man can’t remember his name and the lady at breakfast) Their warmth, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel incredibly welcomed. They were always available with a smile, ready to assist with any request or to simply share a friendly conversation. Overall, the hotel provided an unforgettable stay. If you’re looking for a place that combines stunning views, beautiful decor, lush fruit trees, delicious food, and exceptional service, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed in the Junior Cave suite which is built into a cave and therefore does not have AC. The rest of the rooms do have AC. This was a disappointment for me in such hot weather as I still needed airflow into the room. The 6am view of the balloons however makes it all worth it - it is magical. Delicious breakfast, refreshing pool and staff always ready to assist.

very odd bathroom layout, insanely huge, lots of space not being used for functionality like having a place to put your clothes and towel when you're done showering etc but this is minor

This is a beautiful hotel. The location is great, right among some fairy chimneys and the views over the town are beautiful. The outdoor area with all the different level terraces is very nicely landscaped and there are flowers and bigger trees providing shade too. The swimming pool is an excellent addition for the hot days and it was very picturesque relaxing by the pool on the swinging hamacs. The room/rooms was/were big (4 people - 1 Dble bed, 2 singles) and was large enough to provide some kind of privacy from one area to another via some little steps. The bathroom was large so it was convenient to use even with 4 people sharing and the shower area had a separate door which meant that multiple people could use the bathroom at the same time. The breakfast buffet had a lot on offer, and we could also order eggs made to choice. As the hotel is right on the edge of town, we did get the chance to see some very close up Hot air balloons on the day we left as we got up at 5 am. it was an amazing experience! sooo special.

Very minor but we had to ask to have water put in our room everyday as it wasn't done automatically. There were 4 small bottles on our arrival but we had been to other hotels where they would replenish every day. Again very minor but although the airconditioning was fine, you could not feel it as much in the area with the dble bed as there was only vent in the area with the 2 single beds but it really didnt bother us much. I might just add that some of the decor in the room looks a bit dated or a bit kitch but really it more than anything gives it a bit more of a local feel rather than it looking like any other luxury hotel.

The location was central only a few minutes from the bus station and restaurants. The hotel was built against the steep rock face and cleverly uses this aspect to provide several levels of terraces each with wonderful furnishings and cushions under the shade of the overhanging vines. The breakfast terrace must be one of the best viewing spots for watching the balloons should the wind be towards the town. A continental style breakfast with many cheese, vegetable and olive varieties. Hot egg dishes cooked to order. The owners take pride in looking after it.

Super attentive and friendly staff!!! Even before we arrived they helped us with booking hot air balloon and everything worked out super smoothly. When we arrived, they made us feel right at home! The room was clean, the bathroom - spacious. Fresh delicious breakfast was prepared every morning! It was wonderful to make use of the swimming pool, although not large - it was a very nice addition! There is a friendly cat on the property we liked to hang out with! We absolutely loved our time at this hotel!

just something to note, although the hotel is very close to the sunrise/sunset view point, it cost 20 lira per person to go to the viewpoint.

The Turkish night show with dinner was les professional then I hope for ( but that’s not the hotel fault is the same one people go when in Göreme), the dervish danse could be boring for unadvised people but we like it

All was perfect, the hotel is very charming, located, with a very good location (close to everything but quiet), the people are super nice and welcoming and the rooms are cosy, unique and clean. You can enjoy incredible views on mountains and ballons, as well as a swimming pool wich is perfect to refresh. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. We recommand and we would to come back!

Roc of Cappadocia feels like home away from home. 1. Location: Heart of Goreme, 2 mins walk to the main road with restaurants, shops etc 2. Friendly staff & management: Goes above & beyond. Special mention to Umar has he’s very helpful. Management is essentially mother & son duo, they make you feel at home, offer their produce (Apricot etc), have casual chats etc. They also offered us free breakfast ahead of our check-in as we came in early. 3. Tour & Airport transfer support: As soon as you book, they send you a in-app/website private message with whatsapp no. You can contact them and they help you book Airport transfer, Hot Air Balloon and other tours (Red & Green Tours). Support for Hot air Balloon is particularly important as they get filled pretty quickly. Other tours are standard in Cappadocia but its always more convenient to book from your own hotel. 4. Hotel itself: BEAUTIFUL! Flowers and fruit (grapes) all around. Staffs work hard to keep the hotel pretty. With the caves all around, the place looks magical. They also have nice terraces (x3 in different levels) where you can just chill and appreciate what’s around you. 5. Room: We loved out Cave room. Its real cave! It also have a pretty big jacuzzi! 6. Breakfast: Very authentic and simple breakfast with good platter. We loved it.

There is nothing negative to mention about Roc of Cappadocia. We loved it thoroughly! Just to manage expectation please note, it’s a boutique hotel and you won’t get Gym or in-room dining here. However, they assist you in connecting you to the nearby restaurants who delivers to your room (can pay via card as well).

I chose this hotel because of the private Turkish Bath (Hamam) in the room. It was the only one I could find in Göreme, with a perfect location. The Turkish bath was just perfect and if you go down the street, you’re in the Goreme center. Staff was very kind, asking our preferences on the bed (if single beds should be together or separate), and fixing it right away. The breakfast was gigantic, really, so many food options (and we were the only guests at the time), and even special tea for my father who happened to have the flu. The lady at the breakfast was so sweet and nice to us. The hotel staff let us do a late check out as well. The room was literally inside a cave, which was really nice! We climbed and entered the cave wall we can see in goreme, very nice! We also got snacks in the room during our stay, as a courtesy! The room and the bathroom together had around 4-5 exhausts, which kept the air free of humidity, something I’ve never seen in other hotels (they usually have 1 in the bathroom and 1 in the room).

The room was great, however we could see signs of it having a few years of usage in the furniture and room structure and style, which may be not so good for value spent there for some guests. For us, it was fine. But a renovation would really make the room incredible. There was an area outside our room with table and a place full of rugs and pillows to sit, and it was very stinky and we could not use. I imagine many cats go there and that’s why the smell. When it rained, there was an exhaust on top of our beds that started to leak, but we were leaving that day so it was fine. Maybe something to fix for the next guests. Overall, all of those didn’t interfere very much in our experience.
