Hotel is a very clean, beds are comfortable and rooms are very nice overall - not too small as expected for this area. Hotel staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast is decent, mostly important it was always very fresh. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Location is perfect, only few minutes walk of the most important attractions of the city and a good starting point for everything. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

Breakfast area is pretty small and can easily get crowded. WiFi could be better.

The location is amazing. It's literally a 5 min walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Sultanahmet tram stop and probably about 10min to the Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar. The front desk staff were helpful and always friendly. The bed is made daily, clean towels are provided and bins cleaned out. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel itself is located in a more quiet side street so there is hardly any noise from outside. Breakfast in the hotel is very decent. I can definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay there again.

The only negative is sound insulation. You can hear every sound from the other rooms, when they shower, when they flush the toilet, when they talk, when something is being moved, when a door closes, etc.

The hotel was great! The staff very kind and willing to help with anything we needed. The room is as it appeared in the photos! Clean and comfortable. At breakfast there was a variety and it was not the same food every day. As for the location, the best place to stay and have the main attractions of Istanbul close to you (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilika Cisterna, Topkapi are within 5-10 minutes walking distance). And being so near, we had the opportunity of seeing these sights at every hour of the day, since we could constantly pass by, not only when we actually visited them. The location was beautiful and quiet and quite close there is a road where several shops for food and drink are housed. And all this at a very good price.

The staff was super nice and very helpful with giving directions and went along with all our requests, which is a huge plus. If you are planning to be constantly on the move and only going back to take a shower and a quick sleep and don't care much about noise, then I suppose it is a very good value, as you are pretty much in the heart of the old city.

The rooms themselves were incredibly small, plus one of the two rooms we got was literally halfway underground. You could hear everything going on in the kitchen, the staff working on the floor chatting away, warm water is apparently being turned off after some point in the evening 11 PM there was NO warm water left one of the nights. You can hear everyone walking outside on the street and every single vehicle as if there is no window between you and them, since you're halfway underground, plus the curtains were not very good at covering the edges, so people could easily peep at you while you're in bed, lol.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful esp Dilnoze,Asad and Abdullah. Location was excellent, very close to Blue mosque , Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia as well as tram stop.Family room was nice and spacious and breakfast was good!Would definitely recommend this value for money hotel.

First of all the hotel staff was great. They were helpful and friendly. They gladly fulfilled our requests. The cleanliness of the rooms, bedding and bathroom was good. The rooms are cleaned every day, we left the room untidy because we were in a hurry on the first day, however, they tidied up our belongings and clothes. It was very pleasant for us. The location of the hotel was perfect as it was on the historical peninsula, close to touristic places such as Sultan Ahmet, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and transportation such as metrobus and bus. Also, the location of the hotel will be great for those who like to sleep in a quiet place. We recommend the hotel wholeheartedly, both for its price and other reasons.

The lighting in the room was poor.

Breakfast was good and room was very clean with good A/C, plus a relatively inexpensive transfer service back to the airport when stay was over. Where the hotel really shines though is in its location, hotel is literally located within a five minute minute from the Hagia Sophia and central plaza. Taxi's are completely unnecessary apart from transferring to and from the airport as along with being next to some of the central attractions of Istanbul it is also located very close to a tram station that allows for cheap transit across the city.

Rooms are very small and lacked a desk, while this was ok for me traveling alone for tourist purposes, anyone traveling for business would find it inconvenient and anyone traveling with more than 2 people will need to get more than 1 room.

We booked Ala Sofia for 3 nights it was a very good experience. They have nice clean rooms and offer a delicious breakfast. The staff is very courteous and well trained. For any guidance Emir is your go to person. So if you are looking for a good experience with economical rates go for this hotel and thank me later

The location was brillliant.

Certain staff members, the night staff member Umair was a stubborn arrogant 🤬 and the other staff who looked like he was from uzbekistan was rude but he became okay towards the end, there was one staff member named Amir who works in the morning very polite and helpful he made me rate the stay from a 7 to a 10. If you read this Amir you’re a gentleman and an amazing person thank you!

We Good hotel well cleaned and organised very happy with receptionists ,Dilnoza, Emir, Abdullah.all of them very kind and very professional happy face always they tried to help us all the time when we ask anything . Breakfast in morning is very tasty and only 2 mints walks from SultanAhmat and blue Masque
