Hotel is located in a quiet place, away from main streets, but in the same time it's so close to Galata bridge, Galata Tower, old city, Karakoy streets, Galataport, tram station and more. The rooms were clean, simple but stylish. Loved the spacious breakfast area on the rooftop that had beautiful views. The breakfast offered a good variety of different dishes.

Not a major thing and wasn't inconvenience for us personally, but worth mentioning here - the hotel doesn't have a direct car access so one would need to walk few steps with a luggage from the main street.

When I arrived here, my mom and I was moved by the staff’s warm hospitality. Also location is definitely in the center of Istanbul, so very convenient to travel on foot. Last but not least, I was totally fascinated by breakfast. I could taste many kinds of traditional side dishes and really enjoyed with great view! Actually, I ate with so many plates, so I felt a little shy🤣 I was sad that I stayed only for one day. I will be here again when I come Istanbul! I appreciate your warmth and professionality❤️‍🔥

It's a lovely boutique hotel, with special touches throughout, I even appreciated the toiletries provided (Peter Thomas Roth). The location was ideal, between most sites - not too close to Sultanahmet, which was crazy tourist busy. The team working was super helpful, and friendly, and because it's a boutique hotel you get to know some of the staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I was VERY pleased with everything, though I can see some may find the location a little challenging (with it being on a pedestrian street) but the hotel was very accommodating in organizing a transfer and had even coordinated with the driver to greet us with a trolly for our bags from the regular road (a short distance away) especially grateful considering we came in late with multiple bags and kids. Maybe the only other thing I would add is that it would be nice if there was body lotion/cream, but we had everything else we could want.

Very good location near the Galata tower, galata port, some nice cozy streets and just a galata bridge away from the spice bazaar. The people are kind and helpful.

I didn't expect that the room type I booked (Superior Double Room) is the lowest grade in the hotel and therefore located on the ground floor. You have no air coming from outside, as the whole hotel rooms are with windows towards the internal "yard" but the internal yard is also covered on the top. Also being on the ground floor cannot leave your window open during the day as anyone could enter trough it. We expected more from the breakfast - it was the same every day, and there was almost no meat except for some salami

The hotel is located very close to the tram station, less than 5 minutes walk away. It is also surrounded by many restaurants within a short minute walk. The hotel is very clean, and housekeeping does a great job! Staff are also very friendly. There is a coffee/hot chocolate machine and water dispenser in the lobby available 24 hours for free. Breakfast has great varieties and comes with a great view. This is a nice hotel.

The mattress probably needs replacement/upgraded. The windows do not open outside, hence no fresh air. When we stayed, the weather was starting to get warm, but the hotel heater was still turned on, and since it was centralized, we can't control it internally. We couldn't sleep well for 4 nights because of the heat. You can hear almost everything in the hotel, no noise insulation.

We recently stayed at Portman Hotel in Karaköy, Istanbul, after urgently needing a new place when the hotel we originally booked turned out to be unacceptable. Fortunately, we found Portman Hotel at midnight, and Cem and Ressul went above and beyond by kindly showing us the room before we committed to the booking. We ended up staying for our last three days in Istanbul, and it was the best decision we made. The hotel's location is perfect, it offers a spa, and the breakfast comes with stunning views of the Bosphorus. A huge thank you to Cem and Ressul for taking such great care of us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It was truly an unforgettable stay. We are deeply grateful!

What a way to start each day in Istanbul, eating breakfast on the rooftop of this hotel, looking out over the Bosphorus, the Golden Horn and Istanbul. The hotel is in an excellent location, a bit out of the main tourist area but easy 10 min walk across Galata bridge and 1 min walk to the tram stop that takes you to Haga Sofia and main tourist attractions in 10 mins. It’s very quiet despite being so centrally located. The room was clean and appears like the photos. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, except for breakfast which was included with our room, but there are a couple of good restaurants/ bars just outside the hotel, and many more choices around the corner along the waterfront. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and happy to teach me a Turkish phrase each day. I would absolutely stay here again.

The location is perfect! The room was quiet and met our needs. It is a historic building, which made the stay even more impressive. The personel was more than helpful. The view at breakfast of the sea was awesome!

For the "Special Hotel" that Booking states, it lacks some moderate conviniences and amenaties that most hotel for that price would offer (i.e. a bath robe, shoe kit, sewing kit, etc.). There were no glasses in the room, only coffee cups. Minor things that make a big difference for the rating and price. A main problem is the lack of electrical plugs for modern day needs. There was only ONE FREE PLUG in the room available,. We had to go a buy a plug extention to be able to charge our computers, tablets and cell phones .

Overall we are satisfied with the hotel and the stay: - The location is excellent, everything nice and interesting in the area is nearby; - The rooms are clean, warm and cozy; - The panoramic view from the breakfast rooftop restaurant and terrace is unique;

- Perhaps the rooms and especially the bathrooms are smaller than expected; - The breakfast room is a bit cold, it deserves improvement to make it more comfortable and attractive; - The breakfast itself can also be improved significantly - you can consider reducing the variety, but improve it and focus on more quality food and drinks; - Espresso must be added as a lot of western tourists are looking for it; As a conclusion with small improvements the breakfast room and the breakfast itself will also become a distinctive positive feature of the hotel;

The hotel is next to the harbor at Galata port. The cruise terminal is nearby. It is near many restaurants, boat tours, busses and light rail. It is in an interior street, away from the large busy streets. The breakfast is on the top floor, with an open view of the harbor area. Great selection and the view is the best I have seen in Istanbul. The rooms are larger than expected. The rooms were serviced quickly everyday. There is a coffee machine and water free in the sitting area near the front desk. They make Turkish coffee and Turkish tea periodically and ask if anyone wishes a cup.

The entrance is in a hidden alley like area. Graffiti and dirt cover the area around the front entrance. The wifi was spotty during my stay. They may have been having technical problems.
