It was clean and comfortable. Very warm. Ideally located with a great sea view. There was a good range of items to choose from the breakfast buffet in a warm and welcoming environment. What made the property great were the staff who were helpful, caring and attentive but one among them stood out. Melika’s kind, caring and thoughtful personal approach made our stay even more comfortable. She was always at hand to offer assistance and resolve any issues we had. She is a credit to Kalyon hotel. We would recommend this hotel and would revisit in the future should the opportunity arise. Thank you to all the staff from reception to house keeping to catering and the restaurant and a special thank you to Melika for making our stay joyful.

We were greeted by a very friendly Bilal Dundur who helped us with our bags and was a pleasure throughout our stay. The children loved him and would high five him every day. The hotel staff are great, everyone at reception, house keeping and around the hotel was amazing. They were friendly and helpful and the afternoon hotel porter was great with helping with shopping and getting in and out of a taxi. They are an amazing team that provide exceptional customer service.

As this is in a popular downtown location. There is alot of competition between restaurants and customers have many choices. Therefore, I feel that the Kalyon would benefit from improving the restaurant and bar offering.

The Reception guys Cebrail and Batu were very helpful and friendly.They created a good atmosphere and represented the Kalyon to a high standard. The housekeeping staff were also terrific with great care and diligence. Our room was looking over the Sea of Marmara, always full of activity and offering a variety of natural lighting vistas as the day goes through its hours until darkness gathers.

Perhaps the hotel could make the bar area more appealing and create a smoother ambiance in this regard by having an acoustic Turkish folk/jazz player/singer or the like in the early evening. A warmer atmosphere could be created.

Best location if you are looking to visit Hagia Sophia, Topkapı palace and the Sultan Ahmet area in general. Staff were all extremely helpful and polite. Especially Cebrail, Erhan, and Ömer. Greeting us and helping with luggage on arrival and departure. If you are looking for a quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle but close to main attractions this is ideal. Restaurants with roof terraces only a 7 minute walk away and Sultan Ahmet Square about a 15 minute walk.

We didn’t have a balcony and the only outside seating area available is the front garden but to be honest when you have views of the Bosphorus from the front garden there is no need.

Clean and tidy room. Especially the staff is magnificent.They do their best for the convenience of guests. Even late hours at night, when the kitchen was closed, they offered tea and coffee drinks. Especially Semih, Batuhan, Osman thank you very much for the kind and friendly service. Even the security officer at the door (forgot his name-white hairs😄👋) was very kind and respectful. Totally this hotel with this staff would be the best choice for comfortable trip. Thanks again for your efforts and service! Suggesting this hotel to everyone without any doubt.

The staff was very kind and willing to help. Almost all of them spoke good english and they managed to find solutions to all of our requests and they really made our trip comfortable. The lady with dark log hair and a beautiful smile at front desk (unfortunatley I can’t remember her name) was very professional, kind and helpful. Thank you, Madame, once again for solving my friend’s problem with the non included breakfast in the room price.

I would’ve liked a larger variety for breakfast, but it’s just a personal preference, nothing to do with the ramge or the quality of this hotel meals.

The location was great! just 5 minutes to the confusing world of restaurants :)) Near to many landmarks. The reception staffs were great, especially Mr. Mohammad who was very helpful and kind. Although the hotel's building was a bit old, the cleanliness was good. The Breakfast variety and quality were good enough for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast was served in a saloon with a very beautiful view of the Marmara sea.

Although I booked the standard room, I think the size of the bed and the room, was very small.

It had an exceptional location with a view of the bosphorus and the back entrance opening on to the old cobbled streets of Sultan Ahmet. The main tourist attractions like Hagia Sofia , Blue mosque and Topkapi Palalce were within 800-900 m and accessible by foot. The streets leading to the attractions were lined with roadside cafes and boasted a lively atmosphere. The hotel has its own parking space which is a blessing keeping in view limited parking spaces in that area. The hotel serves a hearty breakfast and has a decent restaurant.

First and very important is hotel cleaning condition - it was cleaned every day! Towels changed every day! Second is friendly polite helpful stuff!always ready to help,advise,recommend and give the advice! I was really satisfied by stuff professionalism,everyone of Them are always on the serve! Everyone knows english. The third - great,unbelievable location!You are right at the seaside and at the same moment behind the Sultanahmed square. Very comfortable for public transport. the fourth and last thing - delicious variety of breakfast! I chose only with breakfast but if i could rechoose i would include lunch and dinner as well due to tasteful dishes. thank you for your hospitality! Highlight this hotel for the next appointment!

This hotel is established since 1967 and i guess it keeps the quality,the only thing i would add here is the pool.everything other was perfect.
