Firstly, I'd love to genuinely thank Mr. Abdullah, Mr. Necip, and all the other staff members who welcomed us warmly and ensured all of our needs be met during our stay in the hotel. I owe my mesmerizing 4-night stay to you all. Perfection in every detail. A must-stay hotel situated in the city center, reachable to all tourist attractions with a captivating terrace view opening to the fabulous view of the Bosphorus. The room was so exquisite that fulfilled all of our expectations. The breakfast is versatile offering the true experience of Turkish breakfast culture to its guests. The service was immaculate and the staff was attentive to each detail. I can only recommend this place if you come to Istanbul and desire to dive into the vibrant city life of its unique identity. Perfection from beginning to end. Sincerely thank you, Taksim Terrace Hotel.

We have never seen such a tiny room. It has less than 10 square metres including toilette and shower, so claustrophobic. Breakfast was poor😐

Personnel was very kind, welcoming, and helpful. - Excellent location, cozy neighborhood. - I liked the simple but tasty breakfast, which is basically home-cooked right in front of you. - There is a terrace on the roof with a nice city view. - Some reviews say that rooms are small. That may be true (mine was okay though), but to me, it felt like a natural part of the whole cozy Istanbul experience. A lot of things feel small there -- streets are narrow, I basically had to squeeze sideways into restaurants and shops, etc. - Excellent value for money, just have the right expectations. The city is like 2500 years old, man, and you're staying in the older part of it :)

Nothing in particular that ticked me off, but I can agree with some reviewers who say that rooms could use some renovation.

-My room was spacious & convenient. I took the triple deluxe room. -If you are looking for an AirBnB experience, this is it! Its easy, convenient with some breakfast & good service. -I loved the breakfast selection prepared by Ms.Toufa. It was absolutely delicious. Id look forward to it everyday!! -Good Housekeeping by Ms.Jerin. She is kind and very helpful. -Mr.Jamil & Mr.Mahmoud at the reception are very helpful with how to get around the city and made my stay in Taksim smooth and enjoyable. -The hotel is centrally located and it makes it pretty easy for a solo traveller like me to get to the nearest public transport access points or major areas of the city by walk. -They arrange tours if required but I preferred my own customized ones. It was definitely more fun!!

These are not negative points but just a few things to keep in mind if you are travelling alone: -Have cash/card ready in hand to make the payment when you check in. -Get your own water bottles from outside. -Feel free to ask the staff with anything they can help you with. Don't hesitate. -Better to get to the hotel latest by 9pm. Just to be safe. -Keep the hotel card/number handy incase you lose your way or there is an emergency. -Ask the hotel to arrange a public taxi for your airport shuttle, its a lot cheaper.

- The location is very close to center of Istanbul, Taksim and many historical areas. - The Breakfast with limited options, quality is very good, Terrace is small with wonderful view to the Bosporus. - Hotel is very quiet. - The Hotel is only few steps from Metro station

- Room size is very small - Very little light in the room, even not enough for any reading - No fridge in the room. - The street where the hotel located, is very narrow and different types of workshops are there.

The terrace view was perfect. All hotel staff can speak english. They were friendly and helpfull. Room was enough for 2 people. It was comfortable room and clean. Very nice breakfast. I stayed many countries but İstanbul trip was amazing. Location is very close to everywhere. Metro station, İstiklal street galata tower. Next year definitely i will come back.

Central/ safe location, All nice/ friendly/helpful staff from reception, to kitchen,to housecleaning. Rooftop terrace was bonus- took tray & ate breakfast there each day. Walking distance to metro and sea & main shopping street & Galata Tower. 24/7 reception. Deluxe room worth the extra 20 Euro.

Standard room without view is cramped-not much room to move or for luggage for 2 people. 10-20 Euro upgrade. Need more tourist info in lobby- get maps of local area printed for guests & Metro / tram info. Get to know your clients likes- to recommend some shops, coffee /restaurants, grocery store / nearby, ATM, traditional foods to try.

It’s clean, comfortable enough and good in terms of price/quality offered. Metro station is just 1 minute away by walk and the line is a major one which enables you to reach almost all prominent touristic places in Istanbul. Be prepared for the small sized rooms, although everything what you need what be there. Big thanks to Tarek (receptionist working in the evening and during the night), he was really helpful. There are some drinks in the fridge(additional costs, but around 1/2 euro for drinks in case u need it). Breakfast is good enough, I was full after that and didn’t want to eat till the evening. It’s good affordable hotel, don’t judge it like some premium one. Highly recommended:)
