The owners were very helpful. We met with two during our stay who would be at the reception and they were superb with helping us plan our days or guiding us with directions. They even helped us book a Dervesh show at Hodja Pasha. The rooms were as advertised and clean. The breakfast was great and they always had a big variety. They also had a free cafe and coffee time from 5-6pm !

It was difficult to locate the property as the name differs. It was Fuat Bey Palace and there was a very small sign saying Villa Paradiso so we spent some time in confusion.

Location of the hotel is very close to all attractions. It has a lot of charater. Managers spoke good english but we had problem to communicate with staff. Rooms were clean and air conditioners worked very well. Breakfast was good but addition of omelette and toasts will be a good idea. Aiman was of great help always. He guided us a lot and answered all of our questions very well. Nasip-ET restaurant nearby is very good and recommended.

One of our rooom was 603 and it had a very bad smell as soon as you enter the room. It was similar to damp or moisture. we only reported it when we were checking out as we used to come very late in the night every day so never bothered to report it after hectic day schedules. Wifi was intermittent but works if you are patient. We relied mostly on our mobile data and hotspot so it never bothered us.

My mum and I booked at the Villa Paradiso which is the sister hotel at the back of this hotel. Upon arrival we found we were on the ground floor (which we arent keen about) so the manager Dogan was more than happy to give us a room in the Fuat Bey, Now I will first we had an excellent stay here and Dogan was so kind and accommodating, even somehow noticing it was my birthday that week and had house keeping  leave me cakes and fruit in the room as a surprise, how attentive! He was also warm and happy to give us advice and chat. The room (3 berth) was spacious and nicely decorated, house keeping came often and tidied and made the bed. Which I must add was such a comfy bed!! The staff member Sadullah would always happy to help with the biggest smile. The interior of the hotel is lovely if you have time to sit in the lobby and they also have a decent back patio with foliage. Overall its definitely a 3 star, great value for money but not top notch. But for a city break where you dont spend too much time in the hotel its perfect. Its also very close to the Aya Sofia (dont forget a head scarf) and Oblisk, just over 10 minutes walk but you will have to slog up a very very steep road. Make sure you check out Basilica Cistern, Galata Tower and jump on the ferry to Kadikov when food and souvenirs are mucccch cheaper.

My only criticism was the bathroom desperately needed an upgrade.. it was real let down and I shared this with Dogan. The breakfast was plentiful but the same every day and not the best of options. They will make an omelette and eventually understood the request for boiled eggs! The bread was fresh & yummy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed there 3 nights in February and the heating system was very good. I liked that when we returned to our room in the evening the staff would have removed the garbage and put two free bottles of water, tea, nescafe and fruits in our table. Breakfast was good and you have plenty of foods to choose from. The location was great! It was in the European side, just about 10 minutes from Sultanahmet camii (Blue Mosque)

The room was small, but it was decorated in a very nice style. The bathroom was a little bit old furnitured.

nice design, cozy rooms, the staff was very warm and helpful and provided us with all we asked for. the breakfast wasn't outstanding, but quite nice. in general I wouldn't say the price was very adequate to what we saw, but the market dictates rules: all hotels in Istanbul is full with fleeing Russians and prices are accordingly high

at first we were given a number without a bathtub even though I've contacted the property multiple times to make sure we get exactly the room from the pictures. then they changed it to a room with jacuzzi but it was still different from the pictures. we were too exhausted, so we settled with it. the only real downside of the room was that the bathroom. the bathtub we as leaking even though the water level wasnt that high, we had to collect water from the floor with a feet towel and pour it to into toilet. the tap was broken so it was hard to adjust the temperature of water. renovation of the whole bathroom is a very good idea!

The property is in Sultanahmet area and very close to Grand Bazaar and many attractions. I was traveling for work and chosen this hotel because it was very easy to reach the city center. It is a comfortable and clean boutique hotel. The staff was very helpful. I really enjoyed the Turkish breakfast. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Host and all staff were very friendly. We received a warm welcome with delightful treats and friendly smiles. We were given a room of extraordinary beauty with a stunning view. The host was exceptionally kind and assisted us with all our needs. We want to express our gratitude to Idem for the special accommodation, and we will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

Some repairs are needed.

The location was in walking distance to the main attractions of the old town. There's a nice backyard garden to have a tea or breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful, also the breakfast was good! Around the corner you'll find a supermarket, grilled mackerel stand at the tiny park (TRY IT) and a bunch of touristy restaurants and mini markets. The shoreside is close by too.

At first entry our room had a bit of a smell from the drain. An easy fix: put some water into the drain on the floor in the bathroom to close the syphon again. As the place is close to the shore, the seagulls make a lot of noise sometimes.

Everything is good for us. The hosts are so polite and professional. They know their jobs and did them in the best way. Breakfast offered so many options from juices, cakes, and coffee to a lot of tasty materials. The room is so clean and looks beautiful. The facilities are great.

There is no significant point, but I should mention that the location of our hotel needs to walk 10 minutes slope route to reach the tramway or blue mosque.

Very nice staff, super kind! They speak English! Location is also good in Istanbul.

Not saying as a negative, just a bit weird that if the breakfast was run out of butter; they didnt bring new (I mean the next day- for that day no butter), the same with the juice machine- one day it was working one day not.. but thats okay, I can live with these :)
