Very welcoming staff, good location, good breakfast on the patio

My room was fine but had some friends whose rooms had broken furniture - the decor was in need of updating but it’s a budget hotel 🤷‍♀️

The relation between price, location and comfort is quite good. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is well equipped. The room counts with very good Air conditioning, quite necessary in Izmir, and a small fridge that is also very useful to keep bottled water. There is a water dispenser next to the lobby and you can get water anytime you want. Considering the wifi, except for some few hours one morning, it worked perfect every single day at all times. It is quite close to Cankaya Metro station, and that makes ir also quite comfortable.

The breakfast is Ok: cheese, cucumbers, boiled eggs, olives, tea, some sweet things, but there were no fruits, yogurt, cereals, liquid milk or prepared coffee (you had instant coffee powder, to prepare it yourself with hot water... something that I don't find really nice). I understand these might not be the typical ingredientes of a Turkish breakfast, but I really missed the fruits and yogurt. This could be improved. Moreover, considering the fact that I am not from Turkey, I have to mention that only one of the receptionists was fluent in English (really helpful and nice), but the other people working at the hotel didn't speak English, as far as my experience is concerned. This brought, for example, some complications when I wanted to ask for help in a situation I had at night.

After initial doubt as we missed the street entrance and turned around through the busy street to find the parking (another hotel nearby) we had a very pleasant surprise, very nice ancient building with amazing history. 190 years old lemon tree ruling over the garden. Tasty breakfast and late night chat on the interior terrace. Not a new luxurious place but lets you see the real city, a piece of the past generations and tradition . Safe and convenient location close to everything, few minutes to the main boulevard - do not miss the sweets and the local food- and the bazar, most places can be reached by foot. Wonderful hosts (thank you Kadir, Ahmet and Hassan for making us feel welcomed and all the good advices). We would go back anytime!

Everything good. Not the place if you look for the stars but if you want a good local experience.

We stayed in this hotel just for a few hours but we felt the hospitality of the staff. Even though most of them don't speak English but they tried their best to make us feel comfortable. They even helped us with our luggages and commmunicating with our trasport pick-up who only speak Turkish. The location is very near Agora oren yeri which is one of the spots we wanted to visit. Konak Square is also walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is just basic but OK.

Can hear water pump ,but when you are going to bed it's off.

it’s an old hotel but for me it was quite clean and comfortable. I was lil worry while reading some comments about the location but it turned out just fine. It is close to the market, the agora open museum just right behind the hotel, konak square and clock tower also in walking distance.

Very-very friendly host available 24/7! He answered all my questions and provided everything I needed!He even gave me two keys and offered to choose a room that I like more! Also there is a lovely garden with singing birds in the courtyard! By the way be noted that they start to sing very early😅 Moreover I loved the bed, it was big and so soft! The included breakfast is with just cold dishes, without fried eggs for example, nevertheless it’s traditional Turkish breakfast.

The room is tired and needs upgrade)) For example water in the WC broke two times))

Very friendly people, cute small hotel in a very authentic neighborhood with great food and drink options around. Easy to walk to Izmir center. A bit adventurous but if that's what you're looking for (and you have a small budget) this hotel is perfect. Especially the night receptionist is a very cool dude.

Private parking would have been ideal, but they have a friend a bit further in the street with a guarded carpark so no problem. Breakfast options could be a bit better but there's nice breakfast places all around the hotel

Hotel with XIX-century tradition with nice staff. Simple but tasty breakfast in a wonderful patio. Free tea and coffee all day. Close to Agora and old part of the city. Maybe not very fancy but in great price.

Location not completely safe in the night

Hotel is located in a beautiful old building (1857) centred on an open courtyard in the style of a Morroccan riad. The courtyard is cool and airy day and night and a nice place to meet other travellers and socialise. Breakfast is buffet-style and is truely exceptional value. My room was great value for the money. Staff were all very approachable. Location is pretty much perfect in centre of Izmir, just 200m to nearest Metro station.

Neither of the two refridgerators in my room worked, but the manager kindly allowed me to use the hotel's one instead. Check-in was a little strange, but eventually everything was sorted out.
