Airport shuttle and very close to the airport!

I was charged an extra 50 dollars to check in before 3:00. I was not informed about this until I arrived.

The location was close to our concert at the Forum. The front desk employee that checked us in was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We had to pay for parking. The room was clean, but spartan. The mattress was not very comfortable

The location is amazing, and one of the reasons I use to stay at this property. The other reason was free parking, which is no more- yet, they charge just as much now for rooms as competing chains in the area. They offer free coffee and still allow pets for free- so I will continue to stay with the Motel 6 chain, at least when traveling with a pet. I will have to weigh in the price of parking now when I rate shop. The staff was very friendly, and efficient especially the male that checked me in, almost had me leave a 10 of 10

the $16.50 charge for parking. Only thing I didn't like.

The room was large enough and clean and had plenty of space. There was even a little table and chairs and the room was clean and had everything you needed. The fridge was cold, there was a TV and the bed was really comfortable. I didn't use any facilities particularly but there appeared to be a regular shuttle to the airport for free, there were vending machines in the lobby and the Carpark was reasonably cheap and seemed to be safe. The staff were extremely pleasant and Trenya who checked us in was lovely and kind and radiated positive vibes. She is a credit to the hotel, along with the other staff who were very pleasant on check out day, getting us early in the morning with smiles. It is close to the airport but was not particularly noisy and only about 5 mins drive from the car rental place. There are food options nearby. I would stay here again should I ever visit LA.

I had no negative experiences.

The location from LAX was very good, free shuttle service to the hotel was excellent but our departing flight was scheduled before ehuttle services began so we had to use Uber. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

WiFi was very poor and continually loosing connection, morning shuttle services didn't begin until after our scheduled flight and we had to Uber, not very many choices near by for eating meals. We didn't feel very safe walking after the sun went down due to the homeless people living on the street and drug users on the streets.

The property is great. Staff was great. Everything inside the gated property was fine. It's when you leave the property it gets greasy. Under the 405 under pass is a small homeless population. They didn't bother me but there is no lights underneath that underpass and you have to go underneath the 405 to get to the airport or Beach or anywhere else south of the property. It's when you leave the property it gets bad. I love LA and will still travel to California and hopefully one day live in California, but someone needs to come up with a solution or it's going to get bad real bad real quick worse than it is now which is crazy. Just 10 years ago it wasn't this bad.

What I didn't like has nothing to do with the property.

We came for hard summer music festival and the location was super close to the venue. Easily accessible from the free ways. It was comfortable enough to sleep at, we weren’t there during the day. Security in the parking lot at all times and super friendly.

Our room didn’t have a microwave or fridge and when I called they said I’d have to pay extra to upgrade and call the site I booked through, but they do have a microwave for use in the lobby, and we brought our own ice chest to keep cold waters in. Be aware that this hotel does do day parking (any one can get a parking pass and park there) so if you’re going for an event the parking lot may fill up, thankfully the security guard was great at helping us find/create a parking spot so our car was at the hotel with us at night.

Helpful staff, clean room, nice beds, free airport shuttle

In a very sketchy neighborhood. Right near the hotel there is a homeless camp under a bridge, and traveling on foot at night feels very unsafe.

The front staff, especially Trenya who handled my check in, were exceptionally friendly and eager to make sure I was satisfied in every way. Better service than I've experienced in far more expensive hotels!! I was surprised in a very pleasant way. There are some simple places to eat just across the road. And a good swimming pool! Nice quiet room in the back. Also the FREE Airport Transfer Service to and from LAX (runs on an hourly basis), was fantastic and a VERY friendly driver. Would definitely stay again.

It took more than 30 minutes to refill the complementary coffee dispensers at 7h45 in the morning!! Peak check out time for most guests. I only managed to get a cup of coffee at the very last minute before boarding the airport shuttle. Just a heads up since everything else was GREAT! Nothing to make me not want to come back!

I had a great stay at Motel 6. I was apprehensive at first but I had such a pleasant stay. I stayed 3 nights and it cost $200+. Parking: will cost you $16.50 per night (if I remember correctly). Sometimes parking is full at night time. I didn't struggle much and always got parking. Although one night I had to circle the parking lot till someone left. Deposit: they take a deposit which is supposed to be returned when you checkout. Check in process: this took about 5minutes and I was assisted by Celine (trainee). She was such a delight; kind and had a smile on her face the entire time. I was also assisted by Shante (sorry if the spelling is incorrect) but she was knowledgeable and kind as well. Check out: The process was quick and took 2minutes I'd say. But incase there are lines, I'd suggest waking up early for checkout. Rooms: the rooms were decent! I noticed that every day upon my return to the motel, I had new towels in the room which was very nice. The room I had didn't come with a fridge or a microwave. Sheets felt clean, towels felt clean. No bed bugs so that was great. Elevator: you have to use your room key to access the elevator when going up.

Suggestions for Motel 6: 1) I STRONGLY suggest that front desk should have a line system by using "heavy duty crowd control stanchions" from Amazon for check-in and checkout. I noticed on some days it was chaotic and lines were almost nonexistent. This suggestion would help keep the lobby look less busy and control crowding! 2) It would be nice if the rooms consisted of little travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Or even blow dryers. I'm not at all picky so I would rate this stay a 8.5/10. I say this because I noticed the guard arguing out loud with an individual outside and it didn't seem professional with all the cursing that was going on, on his end. With that being said, the other guards were awesome and I'm grateful for them for doing their job.
