Clean. Well appointed. Nice staff.

No Tea in the room. I don’t want weird green stuff, or tea made from berries. I don’t drink instant coffee. I am an English man of a certain age and I want English Breakfast Tea. It’s not hard. You can get it at the Co-op down the road.

Very nice ,clean and great big room ,breakfast amazing ,honestly ,one of the best hotels in Uk ,water and coffee free in the room ,nice bath which I loved they had ,beautiful rooms and beautiful restaurant also the location is amazing

The staff …very unfriendly ,one of the receptionist females has such a nasty attitude for no reason ,she shouldn’t be in this amazing hotel also she said that until 10.30 is open the breakfast area and when I arrived at 10 was already closed and the staff from breakfast area almost didn’t let me in ..I’ve explained that that I was misinformed .Very cold and not saying even hello the kitchen staff but David from the reception was the best .Very polite ,the hotel should carefully choose their staff as the hotel is a luxury place and people are paying good money for a night :)

We re-booked this hotel because it was so lovely!!! Classic hotel hospitality as it should be! Cleaning every day, super friendly staff!!! We were offered free coffees and delicious pastry after we had checked out and were sitting at the bar. The barman even gave us an amazing magazine!!! 5* service! Huge thanks to Lili for serving us at dinner, to Georgina (front desk) for printing out my documents and refusing to charge for that! And everybody else whose names we don't know: such a pleasure to feel welcomed and cared for! Delicious breakfast and dinner! Very nice and warm lobby. Super quiet, very good noise isolation.

We especially liked the welcome from friendly, helpful, diverse staff, location, comfortable bed, cleanliness, the number of charging outlets for devices in communal areas.

We enjoyed the breakfast, but think that there just need to be a bit more mindfulness in laying out adequate serving utensils for the cheese and sliced meats, yogurt and fruit section. Also need to be more anticipatory when it comes to knowing when things are running out such as the scrambled eggs. It would have been nice to have vegan or plant based proteins for non-meat eaters to replace the sausages and bacon, also some fish such as smoked mackerel or salmon would have been great additions.

The receptionist my partner and I spoke with was very kind, friendly and informative which made for a good start. We were only there for one night but the room was clean, the bed was comfy and in my opinion good value for money. Location is good for anyone who needs to travel around Croydon as it's a short distance away from both East Croydon and West Croydon, there are plenty of bus routes and also the tram.

One issue that my partner noticed was that the AC was making a high-pitched sound that rang throughout the night making it difficult to sleep. We spoke to a receptionist the next morning who apologised and would get someone to look at it. There is a warning in the bathroom but still be very careful when coming in and out of the shower/bath, it can be very slippery.

The staff in the dining area during breakfast were very attentive, and they tried their best to meet your every need. A great start to each morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes, which even included vegan sausages. We were very impressed. Housekeeping staff were also very helpful, and did an excellent job each day. The super king size bed was extremely comfortable.

I think the hotel is a little worn in some areas, and could do with a refurb. Our bathroom was clean, but the door handle was literally hanging off. We stayed for 3 nights, and it wasn't repaired.

Comfortable bed, clean and cozy room. Perfect base for a few days in London. 15 minutes to Victoria and 15 minutes to Gatwick Airport. It has everything you need for a base in London. The room has a modern, cool style- loved the London imagery in the room. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Really appreciated the option to store luggage. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

The night porters are definitely not as friendly as the daytime staff. I felt a little uncomfortable when arriving to the hotel late- the staff member checked my name on the list but didn’t say so much as hello. A stark contrast from the rest of the team who were absolutely lovely!

Having the availability to get food all day - including room service options - is amazing. The tram is minutes away and means you don't have to walk much on the way back to East Croydon station (arriving from East Croydon station means a 10-15 min walk even with the tram). The staff for our visit were very professional - really pleasant. There is decent aircon. The hotel felt relaxed, upmarket and welcoming - a little oasis, really.

The location means the view was of Croydon offices. But if you stay in the centre of Croydon it is probably not for the view. The location has crime akin to other London boroughs. Last year, a beautiful young person called Elianne was killed in an daylight knife attack opposite the hotel, unsettling the nation. West Croydon and the bus station are places to stay alert. East Croydon station seems like a safer option and has lots of commuters at peak times.

Clean hotel and was given my requested room ( high floor and quiet) I paid separately for breakfast when we arrived. Instead of paying £16 each this was reduced to £13 if booked day before plus breakfast was up till 11am which was good for us. Breakfast was nice and very quiet so no queuing for the toaster lol Only downside was loud people in room nearby woke me up at 6:30 and carried on chatting and laughing until 8:30 but not hotel fault just unlucky. We would stay again. Car park very close (Ruskin) and only pay £12 if you get ticket validated by hotel. It also had electric charging points so very happy as we charged car overnight! I’m

The hotel was very clean and smelled great! There was a bar and restaurant. The room was spacious with crisp white linens. The staff was amazing and sooo friendly. No questions or requests were too much. Everyone had a great smiling face. It was a 20min train ride from Gatwick airport and 20-30 minutes to London Victoria station. Very convenient. If you wanted shoos they were across the road. Stores upon stores and a shopping centre/mall. Plenty of grocery stores very close by. A big shout out and thank you to an amazing and excellent service oriented Scottish gentleman ( sorry wrote his name down but lost the paper) was a pleasure every time he made me coffee in the morning. Had a few great conversations with him and it’s not often I meet someone who is authentic and seems to love what they do. He should be congratulated on his work ethic!
