Staff were really friendly and helpful, room was a good size, hotel was conveniently opposite the promenade, close to town, which is within easy walking distance, all in all great location. Tea/coffee/chocolate/biscuits facilities were well stocked, kettle and hairdryer great.

The en-suite could maybe do with a little TLC. Some of the sealant around the bath was going black, the seal on the bottom of the shower screen wasn't in great condition and the door would benefit from a coat of varnish/paint. Just a few minor issues but these didn't detract from the overall experience. However, the inclusion of a toilet brush would have been appreciated. Would we recommend. Yes, without doubt we will return.

My first time staying at the Richmond Hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was lovely to be right on the seafront and handy to be such a short walk to the station, shops and restaurants. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful from the moment I arrived and throughout my stay. I was delighted with my room: spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfy bed, excellent shower. Superb breakfast - very good selection of freshly prepared fruit to choose from, and a very nice vegetarian cooked breakfast to follow. I would definitely return.

The bedroom was large with high ceiling. The TV on the wall was also a very good size. Lovely brilliant white sheets/duvet on the comfortable king size bed. En-suite was great. We felt very comfortable in the room and would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it to our friends. Having their own car-park at the rear of the property is a bonus. Well positioned on the promenade. Also, breakfast was included in the price. The full English breakfast was the best we'd had in a long time! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.

Main disadvantage is probably not having a small lift, as my husband wasn't feeling too well when we first arrived. However, this would not put us off coming again.

Stayed one night on a Solo touring Motorcycle trip around Mid Wales. Great little guest house. I had Room 14 with a cracking sea view from the bay window (and beautiful sunset!!) Comfy bed, clean room, linin, TV, tea making facilities. En suite was clean with plenty of hot water and toiletries. Breakfast was fantastic, I had full English with coffee & toast. Staff were absolutely lovely, helpful, chatty but not overbearing or “false” if you get my drift…….My bike was garaged during my stay which was an added bonus meaning I didn’t have to leave it on the road out the front. I would happily recommend this place. It was recommended to me by my Father-in-law who travels regularly on business. Book it you won’t be disappointed!

We arrived earlier than expected but the hotel allowed us to park in the car park at the back of the hotel. We had a lovely warm reception from the staff. Once we’d checked in, we went to our room. We were in Room 10 which looked out over the prom. The room was spacious, clean and bright, as was the en-suite. I really liked the table and chairs in the bay window, so that you could watch the world go by, drinking coffee. We didn’t dine in the hotel, but there is a restaurant and bar that we could have used. Breakfast was very good. There was a very large assortment of foods to choose from - cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit juices followed by a cooked breakfast and toast. We had a very comfortable stay and are looking forward to staying again in the future.

Very friendly staff, who were extremely helpful about the town and its facilities. The hotel is a good 3-star establishment. It is very clean and generally well-maintained. It is within reach of the National Library of Wales - its actually a lot closer than it looks - if you use the back entrance. In fact, the view from my (back) bedroom window included the library. The front entrance of the hotel opens directly onto the sea front, which is great for walks. Also close to the town centre. I noticed that the hotel has many regular customers - a good sign, and unsurprising.

Hardly any criticisms. Perhaps the room was a little warm for me at night - maybe because the weather was very mild for this time of year.

The view from the bedroom window was spectacular which included amazing sunsets over the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful, free car parking a bonus. The hotel was in a great spot in the town for access via the roads at the front and back. Food (breakfast and evening meals) were absolutely lovely, very tasty, obviously a good chef. This was my first visit to Aberystwyth and I wasn't disappointed.

Really can't think of anything except that the dolphins were playing silly devil's and didn't show up which apparently they often do right in front of the hotel!

My wife and daughter occupied a room at the front of the hotel. It had a exceptionally nice view over the sea. The rooms were very nicely appointed. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean. The on suite shower was spotless. Obviously a lot of thought and effort had been put into these. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

My only criticisms...maybe more a suggestions really....was that a better menu presentation might have enticed us to eat at the hotel in the evening and some brochures on the town layout / facilities would have been helpful.

Stunning sea front location, with a friendly personal welcome at the reception desk. Easy walking distance into town where you'll find some fabulous restaurant or a classic fish and chip shop. Staff at breakfast time extended that same welcome and breakfast was beautiful, cereals, fresh fruit etc and a full range of choices for your cooked breakfast if so desired. The room was very clean which I think is so important, above all else. Diolch o galon i bawb am y croeso Cymreig a Chymraeg. Mi fydda i'n bendant am ddod yn ôl.

My whole stay was wonderful. Very nice lady on reception when I arrived and the single en suite room was clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. In the morning breakfast was served between 7.30 and 9.30 am so a good long time. My breakfast a poached egg on toast, was delicious and the egg cooked to perfection. The dining room staff were smashing too - efficient but also very pleasant and helpful. The location was perfect, right on the seafront but with the shops and bus station only a five minute walk away. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

There was nothing that I didn’t like. It worked really well for me on every level.
