Friendly, attentive staff. Nice, clean room. Room was warm and we were able to adjust temperature on main room radiator as needed. Tea and coffee making facilities. Small TV if you want it, seemed to work fine. Lovely shower and toiletries. Great breakfast included and available until 10am so nice if you want a lie in! Also useful to have the pub available for food and drinks during the day if needed.

- Heated towel rail didn’t come on in bathroom. Unable to turn on. - Not enough milk sachets for more than 2 cups of tea (only 4 in the room and a small amount in each). - Tea/coffee cups are very small. - Right hand side of double bed very uncomfortable. Ideally needs a new mattress. - Walls very thin so woken a couple of times by a crying baby in the next room.

Perfect for a one-night stopover, this is an inn with a welcoming attitude. All the staff made us feel we were valued guests. We enjoyed an early evening supper in the busy pub restaurant. The menu was original and not overpriced; we were served by friendly staff, and there was a happy buzz about the place. Breakfast next morning was all served to our table, with a wide choice on the menu and other options available - just ask! The restaurant and bar area was really warm but our room was cold. When I reported the cold radiator to a member of staff they explained this was because the thermostat was in the bar area, and they fixed it immediately so the radiator was soon hot and our room warm.

Breakfast & dinner was absolutely delicious as was the choice available. The staff were so friendly, polite & very helpful. The rooms were very lovely, well decorated with just the right amount & kind of furniture in them.

Unfortunately, we came when it was very cold & icy weather & the bedrooms became very cold quite quickly when the heating went off so we had to ask a couple of times for the heating to go back on. We understood it’s an old building with original windows (very beautiful!) but it’s hard to warm up once you get cold.

The room was comfortable. I liked that there was tea/coffee making facilities. There was space to hang up some clothes. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and staff all nice. I would stay here again. We only stayed one night after a wedding and all was fine.

The door to our room plus another door along the corridor was very creaky/squeaked when opened and closed. They need some WD40/oil added to the hinges. The shower was relatively clean but there was a some limescale along the grouting and around the shower plug hole

Fabulous friendly staff, beautiful clean room, super easy check in and out and we arrived early but were allowed to check in which was a great bonus to be able to get into the room before heading to a wedding Great breakfast choice and oerfectlcooked

Teeny, tiny thing but certainly takes nothing away from this lovely place was that would have been a bit lazy and have a lie in but we could hear music coming from the bar from 7.00 in the morning, it wasn't super loud and alot of people wouldn't even notice it so I'm probably being a bit picky

Firstly, great staff friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The shower room was clean and spacious. The bar is very well stocked and the dining room comfortable and nicely furnished, the dinner menu is good but it would be nice to have a change as we have stayed here several times over the last few years and it’s still the same apart from a couple of specials which are generally the same too. Breakfast is very good and cooked to order. I highly recommend staying here and I’ve already booked for an overnight stay in October. It’s a busy place which just goes to show how friendly and well run it is.

There is nothing that I dislike.

The breakfast was amazing! Good range of choice with healthy options, bonus that it was included in the price. Very comfortable bed, very good shower. Excellent dinners and wine choices. Friendly staff, everyone had a smile and was super helpful. Decor is really good and not overdone. Great location, garden and playground for young children. Locals seem to love it. Great price for what you get.

The corridor to the rooms upstairs could use an upgrade it smelled musty and was not as good as the decor downstairs and in the rooms.

Breakfast was great, well cooked and presented on the plate, nothing like a good cooked White Hart Breakfast to set you up for the day, good food well cooked! same goes for the evening meals, wells presented food cooked to a high standard and value for money. The room was a little on the small side but the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower was great, will. Definitely stay here again

Thank you for our lovely stay, we wish it was for longer :) The style of the room was so welcoming and cosy, we felt so relaxed (even with our almost 2 year old) the room and bathroom were both clean and spacious. The staff at the White Hart were so friendly and accommodating which really helped us with our toddler. The breakfast was by far one of the best we’ve had! There was a bi-monthly quiz on the evening we arrived and it looked like such good fun, would recommend if you get the chance to. Big garden (covered area too) with a wooden play swing /slide / climbing frame for children. Looks lovely at night with the lights.

Literally the only thing is a darker or black out blind /curtain, other than that we could not fault it :)

I stay locally regularly when visiting my son as live a distance away, I have used the White Hart my last 2 visits. The main thing that impressed me is the guy that runs breakfast on the Saturday morning, he couldn't be more helpful, my son is 10 and a fussy eater and both times he's been super accommodating. Super nice chap and really appreciated! I stay away a lot and don't usually bother leaving reviews but this really deserves it.
