Lovely room, beautifully decorated. The building is currently undergoing renovation, so the frontage is hidden behind scaffolding and you can tell there are works underway… But the areas I made use soft were beautifully decorated i’m very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent I had a delicious cooked breakfast and also had the option of Danish pastries, fruit, yoghurts and more.

The property is currently under renovation, so some areas are not as one would expect - but I was warned of this before arrival, and I have no complaints. It’s just something to be aware of.

Room 208. Recently renovated, large room and bathroom including bath. Lovely staff and superb breakfast included in price. Convenient location for The Forum etc.

Room very warm - thankfully fan provided. Increased heat possibly due to netting along scaffolding outside building. Asked for car registration when checking in - suspect there may have been a private carpark in building next to hotel but no information on this. Had already parked in public carpark (Market Street, opposite, for £4 for three hours until chargeable time ended at 6pm on Saturday).

Location was good. Room nice and clean. Bed very comfortable. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

As it was undergoing renovations, it was covered in scaffolding and green plastic. When GPS told me I had reached my destination, I thought it had made a mistake as there was no signage on it to say what it was. That would have been helpful.

Although there was renovations taking place it didn’t impact on our stay. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was excellent, very comfortable with a lovely bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was very good. Cereals, full English, toast jams etc. would definitely stay here again

Room was comfortable overall, but would have been good to have 2 chairs in our twin room, and one of the beds did not have a bedside table - I had to put my glasses and watch on the floor beside my bed overnight. Also external noisy kitchen(?) fan came on in the early hours of the morning.

The room I stayed in was nice. For a hotel under renovations, it was good.

I couldn’t find them even though I was parked in a car park right opposite. The building is covered in scaffolding on the outside and I didn’t see the sign. I had to call them and be directed. Turns out I was right in front of them.

Location was fine and staff aswell as those working there on renovations couldn't have been any nicer.

No air con unless I missed something and there was a loud banging noise through the pipes when toilet was flushed.May be due to renovations.

Ideal location with free parking, staff fantastic, the hotel was being renovated and the rooms were spotless with quality bedding and towels, the staircase was awful, but only to be expected during renovations

Breakfast was average but well worth the price

Hotel is under renovation but never heard anything at all. Night time was really quiet. Full breakfast was good. Room was lovely and so comfy

Musty smell though hotel , I assume that goes with the age of the hotel.,
