Beautiful quiet location with room looking onto pleasant garden with plenty of wildlife also enjoying the space. Good sized room, very clean and comfortable. Communal sitting room was comfortable and warm.

Breakfast room settings were cramped. The breakfast options were disappointing and not particularly well cooked. Had breakfast not been included in the tariff and I'd had to pay separately I would have considered this poor value for money. Staff seemed a bit aloof and inexperienced, but they seemed very young.

Great setting for the hotel - lovely grounds. Plenty of parking. Room was very clean and staff very friendly. There is a bar which serves draught lager. Breakfasts were very good - I had the full English breakfast - all good quality stuff and perfectly cooked. Didn’t try the evening meals. If you’re wine tasting at the Carr-Taylor Vineyard the hotel is just a mile and a quarter away. So it is walkable along a narrow road and a slightly busier road as you near the vineyard.

Not much around the hotel in terms of food and drink - you’ll need to drive. When we booked the only room left was a compact room - I’ve had to downgrade my ratings based on the fact that this room is just too small for two people. You can only get into the double bed on one side as the other is against a wall. It really is suitable for only one person. In fairness to the hotel, they do explain this in their room descriptions, but it is slightly worse than I envisaged. Book one of the other rooms and you will, no doubt, have a great stay.

The location was fantastic with everything luxurious , a jewel in the country and would book again

The only minor thing was the menu was out dated with the online suggesting that it had certain meals but on the restaurant menu was very limited ! It's a shame because I think they are missing a trick with having a fantastic menu would complete the claverton hotel . It's seems the chef couldn't or can't be bothered with the food , with things on the menu are very basic but okay if you were eating in a cafe . It's a shame but there is room for improvement because they have a fantastic professional kitchen.

The bed was nice and comfy room was clean would’ve been nice to have box of tissues in room. Very quiet no noise from other guests. Staff very welcoming especially the lady serving the breakfast on Saturday 2nd September

Breakfast wasn’t as good as it used to be seemed like produce was cheap. We’ve stayed a lot over the last five years so see the difference from when it was a smaller establishment. Also the breakfast room was very crowded seemed like the tables were very close together and the lovely lady serving breakfast was run off her feet. She did an excellent job serving everyone but probably could benefit from having another staff member to help her. I would stay again but wouldn’t opt for breakfast. This is not a complaint just saying what we noticed.

The room was above the kitchen. Therefore, the smell of fried things was constantly present. It seemed like to cone through the ventilation in the bathroom. This was really not nice. Due to the wedding, the hotel was fully booked. I didn't ask to swap rooms as I knew there was no other available. The mattress was a little too soft for my taste.

The room was really spacious - fantastic for a family. It was also a nice surprise to have a fridge!

I thought I had included breakfast in the hotel booking but somehow the selection got lost when i signed in to booking.com to get the members discount. I only realised this too late and then breakfast was going to cost £15 for each family member - which was more than my budget - so we had to skip breakfast which was really disappointing.

Absolutely exceptional customer service friendly kind and very pleasant very pleased was expecting a room but more like a self contained flat amazing for the value asked for more condiments and was so helpful and catered for all our needs and actually have booked again fantastic thanks for the kind services

Lovely friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

Very small compact shower. Not really comfortable to use if you're on the curvaceous side. Also no hand held attachment. Evening meal menu more on the lines of pub grub sadly.

We ate our evening meal on Friday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday at the hotel and the food was very, very good. The staff are friendly and attentive, the room was large, spotless and the bed super comfy. It's a lovely hotel that exceeded our expectations.

Really comfortable and quiet, just off the beaten track. Stylish. Cosy lounge with range of books and games. Good choice of drinks made the lounge a lovely spot to relax in the evenings, watching the wild rabbits coming on to the lawns to feed. Pretty grounds with outdoor seating in well kept garden. Easy to access main road for days out. Plenty of parking space available. The staff were all very attentive, friendly and determined to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast had an excellent range of choices. My husband's lactose intolerance was handled well. Dinner offered a range of pub style meals. A good base for exploring the Battle area.

There is very little to say here! Perhaps more vegetable based ranges on the dinner menu. We were there for a week, pub grub might pall a bit for some. Road signs for hotel turning could be a bit further away from the entrance to give more warning of approach!
