The location was just right for a halfway stop on a visit to Scotland. A plus was that we were able to visit Bakethin Nature Reserve and Kielder Forest

Nicely decorated and very cosy. Bathroom was amazing including the big spa bath. Breakfast was 10/10! Big portions and alongside cooked breakfast had some cereal and fruit as options. Mattress was to die for! Really soft and comfortable. There was a box as you went up the stairs with some games you could take to your room,, so we had a fun time playing guess who! Really lovely stay and a really great price for you what you got. Would definitely recommend

only one radiator turned on - but tbh the room got hot REALLY fast so in a way, didn't need both on. Had some issues with the spa bath. Never used one before and sometimes some of the jets turned off and sometimes couldn't get back on. But was still enjoyable anyway. Pillows were a little bit hard but that's personal preference but didn't interfere with sleep too much.

Lovely spacious room with excellent facilities. Welcoming host. The breakfast on offer was more than adequate, nicely cooked and presented, although staff didn't seem prepared in time for the 08.00 serving. However, front of house was pleasant and helpful.

I understand that the cafe is "dog-friendly", and whilst this isn't a problem for us, not everyone likes to have a dog present whilst they are eating breakfast. Perhaps thought should be given to better segregation between guests and dog walkers at meal times.

We had an amazing stay, the room was incredibly clean, spacious and had a gorgeous bathroom and jacuzzi bath The staff were the highlight, though. The little things matter. We asked a question about a waterfall we wanted to see, and we had 2 staff members come out separately to help us. I am a picky eater, and wanted xyz to eat, not usually on the menu as such. But they sorted it for me as if nothing was too much trouble They also helped me with rubbish from my car, which I was cleaning out myself, and to my surprise, a lovely lady asked if she could help. I declined, politely, but it just showed how lovely the staff are Thanks for a lovely time!

Warm and cosy room on arrival. I was too late to get a cake and coffee in the cafe but sure made up for it the next day. Danielle and Michael do everything to accommodate your comfort. Later in the evening we had a bit of an issue with hot water. They were able to fix a solution with a spare room to enable a luxury spa bath. I get the feeling that firstly there is unlikely to be an issue but when faced with an issue they'll do their best to fix it.

Nothing to say here they are nailing good quality hospitality.

The check in process was so quick, staff were super friendly and showed us to the room. So accommodating, we had arrived early and just popped in to ask if it was ok to leave the car outside but they said our room was ready. Breakfast was included and cooked to order which was really delicious. The bathroom was wonderful! I really could not fault it. The staff made it exceptional in my opinion. We have already recommended it to two of our friends who have since booked, for when they visit Kielder Observatory. It’s around a 35 minute drive away, but in our opinion the best standard B&B near it. Serves Lakes Ice cream which is my absolute favourite too. We will be back.

Nothing, the property exceeded expectations. The only down side (and it’s minor!) would be no instructions on how to use the fabulous bath. Lots of trial and error but I got there in the end.

The breakfast menu was great and was prepared and served well in the cafe below the bedroom. The bedroom and on-suite was very presentable, tidy, clean and spacious. The staff were friendly bur not intrusive. There were other food places in the town and the walk to the waterfall was amazing.

The car parking felt a bit vulnerable if you are precious about your car. We personally found the bed a bit soft. The location is on the street so when the window was open it was a little noisy with cafe guests sitting outside.

Prior to stay hosts were extremely helpful and responsive to messages, I was even contacted to ask if I was aware an event we were attending separate to the stay had been cancelled. On arrival we were met straight away at the door and taken to our room with no hassle. Rooms were beautifully decorated, cosy, warm and clean! Breakfast was beautiful with lots of choice and included in the stay! All staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of amenities within walking distance too!

Lovely & clean. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. the food was excellent

The shower floor was really slippery. There was a mat but it was more shaped for a bath (ie oblong). We bought a larger square mat from the local hardware store. There was a dressing table stool but apart from that there were no other chairs in the room which isn’t ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Perhaps a dedicated disabled parking space next to the entrance would be helpful too.

Bellingham is a nice quiet location. The fountain cottage cafe is in the centre of the village. In history it was the workhouse but has been excellently brought into the 21st century. It was spotless warm comfortable spacious… Flat screen TV ( a decent size) Tea & Coffee making facilities etc, beautiful shower room. Great choice of food on the breakfast menu in their cafe. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and available but not intrusive. We will definitely stay their again. We were in Northumberland to attend a photography corse at the Kielder Observatory just a short and beautiful drive away. Also nice walks directly from the premises.

It had everything we wanted on our visit. It was very quiet at night. However I’ll bet in school holidays and summer it’s not quite so quiet.
