The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, everything in it was well thought out and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was spot on. Definitely stay here again .

Very cosy hotel. Comfortable bed, ample supplies in the bathroom, large walk-in shower. There was even s DAB radio in the room. Good sized flat screen TV with Freeview. The room was quiet. Fresh milk for hot drinks in the room, not those silly little pots. The restaurant was not in the least like the standard pub restaurant or pub grub. Everything pretty much cooked to order. The fish and chips were phenomenal, huge piece of haddock with a batter so crispy it was unreal. Very good tartar sauce, no overload on chips but, sadly, no mushy peas only "minted" (which weren't). Eggs Royale or Eggs Benedict highly recommended for breakfast. The Butcombe breakfast also very good. Bar amply stocked with great ales on tap, great house wine and a good choice of spirits. Express check in and check.out very useful. If we visit Bournemouth again we will re-book.

The lighting in the bedroom was very dim, no good at all if you wanted to read. For stays longer than a couple of nights there was inadequate storage. Long hanging rail but only 10 coat hangers ( I didn't enquire if more were available.)

We stayed in the Southbourne room, amazing spacious and well maintained. We have stayed at the Pavilion a few times now, and Chris is always so accommodating and very knowledgeable of the area.. The little touches they provide are great, such as freshly ground coffee, cafetiere, and baked cookies. There always seems to be parking available, and the pubs decor is very tasteful.

Breakfast was included in our stay, and a varied menu to accommodate everyone's palate. The only downside was the waiting time , and although the service from the waiting staff was good and they were attentive. We were never informed of how long the wait would be. However, when the breakfast arrived it was good and well cooked.

A delightful find. Beautifully presented, with a lovely atmosphere. We received a warm welcome and shown to a spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated room. My only reason for the 4 stars,which is the room, although a Kingsize room...its a double bed. If I had known,I wouldn't have booked as I have a 6ft 2 stocky .husband. we didn't have a great nights sleep because of the bed size. Breakfast was actually one of the best breakfasts we have had, 5 stars to the chef. Would we return...if they had a kingsize bed for the same rate... absolutely.

The room we had was the Avon what a lovely quint room it had everything we needed a little fridge with fresh milk in a 2 bottles of water , even a radio with relax music was playing when we went in and there was pillow mist on the bedside unit . The hand wash and other bath items were lovely to the point I am looking to order some , the breakfast service was great we both had the full English everything was cooked fresh and presented lovely there was enough on your plate without feeling stuffed ,if your still hungry you can order toast or pastries and you also get tea or coffee and juices If we're down south again will definitely be using the pavilion Arms for our stay .

There was nothing not to like

The staff were warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The room is beautifully appointed, and the bed and bedding of a great standard. The bed was the perfect firmness for me. The hospitality tray was stocked with quality products that were much appreciated. The fully stocked mini bar was excellent as well. Loved the bathroom, too!

The large plant, the fret work on the front of the table, the lamp bases, and skirting (especially behind the plant and bedside tables) need a deep clean. The beautiful sash window and surround also need a deep and thorough clean. I'm not sure the floor was vacuumed thoroughly.

Food was excellent. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Anna one of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. Nothing was too much trouble and she was friendly and always asked about our day and remembered our breakfast order from day one. The chef is excellent and definitely knows food, portion sizes were spot on and good quality produce . Can not fault the staff or the place. They really have got it spot on with everything .

Nothing all was excellent

Everything at The Pavilion Arms was a lovely experience. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and the menu had a lot of great options. The room was stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable with complimentary coffee + milk and drinks which was great. The walk down to the main part of town/beach was around 25 minutes and easy to navigate which made for a great location of the pub. I'd highly recommend The Pavilion Arms when staying in Bournemouth.

The bed was a bit small for the size room (but comfortable) and the pillows could be a bit fluffier - but that could just be my personal preference. Overall everything was great!

My wife and i stayed here for our 2nd year wedding anniversary for one night and we found staff were really helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help us through our stay and found it was in a good location and not too far from the train station about 15 min walk but we got the bus everywhere and we would recommend using the buses as getting to the beach/town centre could be a be of a Long walk for some and there are bus stop near by and really reliable.

There were no net curtains only Black out pall curtains when open we felt over looked and felt we had no privacy when getting changed which when closed it was a bit dark so we had to put lights on which we didn't think is towas very economical for this day and age .

The room was just how it was advertised ‘cosy’ the cleanliness of the room was very good and we had a great nights sleep. The atmosphere of the venue when we walked in was a cheerful and cosy one seeing as the weather was wet and windy. The host that welcomed us was very attentive, gave us all the info we needed even tho it was a late booking.

It wasn’t a massive issue but one thing that could be improved would be more space to put your luggage, place items away if you were staying for more than one night in this particular room.
