We liked the location and where it was. It was old but modern in which we liked also. The staff were friendly and very helpful when we wanted to upgrade to a different room. The breakfast was very nice and there was a lot of choice on the continental breakfast.
We booked to go in a double room. We wasn't that keen on the fact that two single beds were pushed together to make a double. It made us feel like the place was fully booked. And This was the only room available, so they made it a double room. As we couldn't understand why two single beds were pushed together to make a double. Considering the room was big.

Staff were excellent. Room was small but comfortable. Pool, lovely. Bar food, some things better than others, I wouldn't quite state it as good pub food, not quite there but still tasty.
Room, very hot with no ac. Breakfast, very average. Cereal, yoghurt, bread/toast, no pastries left within an hour of breakfast finishing and order incorrect for full English. Promised to correct but didn't arrive. Charged incorrectly on check out, if I hadn't have spotted the mistake would have been overcharged. Table tennis, old sticky bats, plenty of balls. Tennis, courts ok for a knock but not good enough for a game.

The room cleanliness and Christmas decoration was excellent and well above what I normally experience whilst travelling for work. I asked for sweet potato fries and was told no, a bit unusual and the evening meals were not what I would expect, Breakfast was spot on choice and quality excellent.
I used the Gym a number of times during my stay, the equipment needs updating desperately and is limited although 24 hour access was a bonus. The treadmill belt slipped if you tried to run too quickly and some of the machinery needed maintenance.

We had a twin room on the ground floor. It was very big and exceptionally clean. Details such as how the complimentary tea/coffee tray was laid out in the room showed that the staff are well trained with an eye for detail. From the greeting on arrival to that on our departure, we found the staff impeccable in both their manner and their attire. The breakfast was well laid out and very good. We stayed just one night as were attending a funeral nearby, but we would have liked to have stayed longer. The whole hotel is very well laid out and extremely well run.
If I had to be picky, the one thing that I would definitely change is the provision of tea bags in the rooms. Our drinks tray included only 2 English breakfast tea bags. There were 2 others but they were decaffeinated and this really does not hit the spot with me!

We were upgraded to a family room which was better for us as we had more space. I got to meet Laura Finch who had found my diamond bracelet after my previous stay, so it was great to be able to thank her personally as it was a 50th birthday present and I was really upset I had lost it!! Lovely lady! So Thank you sooo much :-)
We originally booked a double room (not a suite) because the prices seemed much more expensive than normal ( we have stayed around 15 times previous mainly in a suite or superior room).

The customer service at this establishment was exceptional, contributing significantly to a pleasant stay. The bed provided was notably comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We appreciated the warmth and tranquility of the room, which was maintained in an impeccably clean and orderly condition.
The water pressure in the shower was disappointingly low, which detracted from the overall quality of the bathroom facilities. Additionally, the communal areas of the establishment felt somewhat chilly, which could be a point of concern for comfort, especially in colder months.

Very comfortable light filled ground floor double room in main building - garden view appreciated. Excellent housekeeping with squeaky clean bathroom - good towels. Ambience of hotel is pleasant with a decor which is a blend of the old with new. Rather good photographic prints of the property, which has an interesting back story ,when a private residence can be found on the walls - worth a second look. All staff encountered very pleasant and table service particularly good. Food - good :)

Very friendly and obliging staff. Quiet room and pleasant communal areas with a pleasant ambience. Lovely sunny aspect overlooking gardens and outdoor facilities. Ample parking. Some aspects of breakfast were good, eg. Fresh smoothie, and granola and yoghurt pots. Also nice to have the DIY toaster.
The quality of the cooked breakfast left a lot to be desired. The mushrooms and hash browns were pretty awful, as was the vegetarian sausage. However, the poached egg was cooked well. It would have been nice to have a bigger prepared fresh fruit selection. Better quality ingredients make for a better breakfast and happier customers!

Excellent
Everything with the property was excellent staff was friendly. Everybody was friendly. I enjoyed my stay very much. I would like to come again. I was told it’s gonna be closed down. I’m very disappointed. It’s such a beautiful place to be. My kids enjoyed very much. My Son got married at the road from there and we all had a fabulous time at your hotel please do not close it down, to come back

The Manor was stunning. Rooms were spacious, beds very comfy, lots of facilities for your use. Pool and Gym both well maintained. The gardens were lovely. Breakfast was enjoyable and lots of options available. Didn't have dinner here as visited with family. I would recommend a stay but as Manor is closing, unable to do so. Such a shame as a wonderful spot to stay and staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Nothing not to like !
