Parking on site. Separate entrance to the rooms. The decor is a bit older but it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it's exceptionally clean. Obviously it's a pub, so expect pub noises in the evening, however after closing time the place was virtually silent! We couldn't hear the traffic either. We read in the visitor book, that someone said it was the best night's sleep they'd had in a long time, we were sceptical but it was so cosy and comfortable, we also had great nights. The room and bathroom temperature was perfect.

For me personally the mattress (room 6) was too soft, definitely not a failing of the Hussar. Something to bear in mind though, if you have back issues and need a hard bed like I do.

The Hotel was perfect for what we required. Seeing a gig at Dreamland and the England game beforehand. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are accessed at a separate entrance to the pub which works well. The family room was large (felt more like a suite!) and comfortable and clean. Wash room and toilet facilities were again clean an ideal. It is characterful building so its not a boutique hotel in style if that is your thing but it is perfect as a base to drop down into town (15 min walk) and it lived up to all expectations. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Can't seriously fault anything. Would have been nice to have had some bar food just before the football but expect this would have been a logistical problem with the pub so packed shortly after. The bar service and bar staff were spot-on with very little waiting time to be served and there was a great atmosphere during the football.

Located in a quiet area, clean, reasonable size room, staff was very polite and friendly, we enjoyed the garden. It was a pleasant experience.

On 2 evenings (wed and fri) the music was very loud until late in the night and I could hear guests shutting doors as they were frustrated with the loud music. The bed was a bit small, it was a 4ft (small double), is not really close to the beach or town centre, is a 30 min walk to town centre, but there is a bus stop in front of the pub if needed. We choose to walk tough. What can you do?

A very friendly welcome and we were shown to our room which was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great value. Only booked for one night so can’t really say any more.

A little dated however no complaints at the price. Although it didn’t affect our stay, next to the rooms entrance, there was a black car with flat tyres that obviously hadn’t moved for a long time because it was covered in grime. That didn’t create the best first impression.

Stayed for one night as was attending a concert at Dreamland (which was a nice 30 minute walk away so would say the hotel is very well placed), the staff were very friendly and helpful, we also ended up having a late lunch/early dinner at the pub attached to the hotel, which was lovely!

We struggled with the shower as found it difficult to get the temp right as came out either really cold or really hot, but was still adequate for a good wash.

The front of house staff were welcoming and funny, and despite being on a main road, the room was very quiet and clean. You are far enough away to not be in the bustling Margate city centre, but close enough to travel there via bus or mini cab in 5 minutes. Perfect for a short stay and I would stay here again.

The rooms are a bit dated, and you can hear the floorboards creaking from people walking around in other rooms.

Friendly owners. Clean room and secure premises. Private bathroom with bath and shower. Parking on site. Good pub food available to buy in the restaurant. Convenience store and other places to eat or buy food nearby.

Mattress and pillows very soft. No breakfast available. Fan in the bathroom was very noisy for a while after you turned on the light to use the bathroom at night.

Quick check in and left to our own devices, really nice place to go, staff were lovely and helpful. Clean room, no issues with the room other than the comfort of the bed. The best part was that there was another entrance for the hotel so you didn’t have to walk through the pub to your room. Overall really nice stay!

The bed wasn’t very comfortable but otherwise had no issues at all.

Couldn’t check in early or get access to somewhere to change before noon funeral. Couldn’t get bath/shower water control to work. Very stiff controls that didn’t seem to allow shower or bath taps. It was either both or neither. Room 5

Lovely staff. Couldn’t do enough for us. Free parking, pub has a good menu (kitchen wasn’t open due to staff shortages but they allowed us to buy from the takeaway literally across the road and provided plates and napkins).

Lacks the little extras like hotel style toiletries but all the important things like a comfortable bed and tea and coffee and plenty of clean towels were there!
