1st class breakfast, lovely large room and the beautiful location. The breakfast was cooked to perfection with great local ingredients. The choice of fruit berry selection tasted wonderful. we liked looking onto fields with the sheep whilst we had our breakfast which was brought to us in our room. It was good to have the tea and coffee facilities in the room and a nice touch were the biscuits and chocolates. Richard and Jane are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We particulary appreciated the tourist information given by our hosts.

Nothing, all good.

We two as friends were having a short break away. Jane met us on arrival at the B&B which was easy to find and showed us the room, which was spotless, everything we would need was there. The views out of the windows were breathtaking, so very quiet and extremely peaceful. Breakfast was superb in every aspect, so much choice too, it was served personally by Jane in our room at the specified time you decide, your choice. The bed was super comfy, central heating which you were able to control. Water for the shower was just great. Met Richard the following day who explained and provided us with a very detailed map of places of interest which we duly followed and had a couple of sightseeing tours thanks to Richard. They were both extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. If only everyone who ran a B&B were like Richard & Jane. I would highly recommend their establishment without hesitation.

I honestly can’t think of one thing that I would change.

We arrived earlier for our check in due to travelling over from leeds. Richard greeted us and then asked his wife Jane to show us to our room. He then went out of his way to show us a route we could go on our motorbike to take in the scenery sitting I'm our room highlighting a route on a map for us. The breakfast was amazing all cooked fresh...nothing was too much trouble. I'm a vegetarian and usually the breakfasts aren't up to that standard. We stay in lots of hotels as we travel alot and this bnb was among the best we have stayed in. Definitely worth every penny. Oh and the sheep were the icing on the cake.

Nothing everything was great.

Breakfast was amazing but a big Welsh breakfast is indeed big! You book your breakfast the night before and it appears at the stated time - was tempted to kidnap the chef as could do with this at home! Jane changed our bookings to the stable so we had a whole apartment with kitchen instead of just a room and she very kindly called to warn me so I could pick up fridge food etc. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable super king bed, parking was easy. Tip for others the entrance is quite close to the junction after turning right just before Cuckoo cottage. Kitchen very well equipped, shower was good.

Nothing much to complain about here. The hot tap in the stables is very hot and the washer needs tightening as it came on a few times on it's own. Shower cubicle a little small for those with generous behinds. The Stables has several flights of stairs and is not suitable for those with mobility needs. But it's an upstairs apartment over a stable- not much they could do about that.

The location is stunning as is the accomodation it was actually a suite the attention to detail was faultless ! Richard and Jane were so considerate and helpful but in such a discreet way that made them so approachable .To also have your substantial breakfast delivered to your room and served at your own table was out of this world ! I only wish we could keep this amazing property our little secret ! But Richard and Jane deserve all the success in the world for their wonderful property so we have to share it with the world!

Faultless !!!

Very comfy bed in a large spacious room with seating, tables, fridge - all nicely done Good selection of Welsh teas and coffees with fresh milk in the fridge - a nice touch - so much better than those pesky small containers Strong powerful shower with good towels

its a bit lite on power sockets, which in my room were all near the fridge area meaning I had to work at the dressing table rather than the table to be able to plug my laptop in - not a huge issue

Breakfast excellent, with a good choice. It was brought to our very spacious, comfortable room which included table & chairs and a sofa. We watched haymaking in the surrounding fields, and red kites flying over, on the lookout for their own breakfast. Beautifully quiet, but only a couple of miles from the town. Good base for exploring - easy to get to the Elan Valley, Hay-on-Wye and Brecon. Thoroughly recommended.

Nothing. Everything was first class.

We loved everything... the setting was so very picturesque, our spacious and well appointed room was light filled and had the most amazing views! The bed was super comfy. As our breakfast was delivered to our room at the precise time we'd requested, we had a small dining table to eat at. The food was tasty and plentiful, all home cooked including the bread. The hosts Jane & Richard were delightful. Should we ever return to Builth Wells, we know exactly where we'll be staying.

There was nothing not to like.

We had an exceptionally large room with an en-suite corner bath and a large shower. The room included a comfortable sofa and a table and two chairs. We had a choice of full breakfast which was brought up to us in our room. It was an exceptional B & B and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

If we had been staying longer we might have missed the company of other guests over breakfast, but I am sure that the hosts had their reasons for serving breakfasts in the individual rooms.

Everything about this B&B was beautiful! We stayed for the Hay Festival and drove about half an hour each day. The location was wonderful and surrounded by stunning countryside - we would definitely come back just to explore more. The room was amazing, spacious and clean, and there was excellent tourist information provided, including local walks and wildlife. The hosts were fantastic, kind and welcoming, and very accomodating with allergies for breakfast. Would 100% visit again!
