Well located hotel in the centre of town. Room had great views and bed was comfy. Plenty of storage space. Breakfast ordering on check in was efficient and the breakfast itself was fab (cooked and toast/cereals/yoghurt and juice). Really cannot fault this place and would recommend as a base for seeing the area.

Parking worked out for me in terms of the timings of when I was there but if busier you might have a short walk to a car park or on-street area.

Lovely location middle of town, rooms were good size and ideal being upstairs in the pub. No need to walk around looking for evening meal. Breakfast was cooked fresh. Highly recommend this place. Lovely beer garden and parking around the back. We also had an elderly man with us, we forgot the battery for his scooter. Sorted a wheelchair out from the local doctors. Then following day borrowed one from elan visitors Centre so we could take him around. Got to say Rhayader is a fabulous friendly place to stay. See you again

Would of been nice to here background music in the pub. We were in there restaurant, no music in there as well.

Location was perfect for exploring the Elan valley and was in a lovely village with a few pubs and shops. Rooms were basic but bed was comfy, shower was powerful and warm. Only negative was the water wasn't cold so we used the bar for filling up water bottles.

Breakfast was basic and hard work, but it filled the gap really for the day. Eggs weren't great. I would have liked some fresh fruit as there was none.

Location, the staff and the locals who were so friendly and welcoming. The shower was warm, good pressure and a roomy cubicle. Good breakfast freshly cooked, with friendly service.

Slight stain on one towel, small handbasin in narrow bathroom, difficult when bending to wash face, but given the space no other option. Looked like new wooden bed base, but rather creaky, when turning in bed. Walls thin, so water flushing in other rooms clearly, and could hear singing and music from downstairs, although not going on late.

Great location in the centre of the town. Room was good value with a well cooked breakfast. Great parking to the rear for a motorbike - might be a little bit of a squeeze for cars. Warm welcome from staff, good food served in the evenings.

Room was compact, but reasonable given the price point. Access lane to parking could do with some filling of potholes!

Delicious complimentary breakfast cooked by Iris. Piping hot and locally sourced. The staff were exceptional. We were there to attend a funeral and they ensured we were very well looked after. Attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Martin and Iris, the owners were approachable and the perfect hosts ensuring that we had everything we required with Iris cooking one of the best lamb tagines I have tasted. Meat coming from Bob the Butcher just across the road. The number of local residents enjoying their Friday evening at the Elan is testament to the wonderful atmosphere, exceptional customer service and value for money that the Elan has in abundance.

There isn't very much parking at the actual hotel, although Martin gave up his parking space as soon as we arrived! There is, however, lots of free parking at the rugby club and just a 2-minute walk down the street.

Breakfast was fine, a little slow with the coffee, But the couple running the show were new and the place was very busy. They were very pleasant and helpful. in time they will be fully on it. Lovely pub.

Well to be honest we had a lovely time there and would return, only comment really our bed was not made up in the three nights we stayed. not really a problem, just normally when away our room is serviced.

Lovely place friendly staff, nice bar and restaurant, had a family room nice size, beds were comfortable, free WiFi so my daughter was happy, breakfast was lovely good selection very happy definitely stay here again.

It was a little bit of a tight lane to get to the car park but wouldn't put me off staying again. You could just park right outside on the main road.

I arrived well after dinner service had ended, but the owner insisted on having me me served a truly delicious home-made curry. Good breakfast with a continental buffet and a full cooked breakfast. Filter coffee and a toaster so one can make fresh toast exactly when needed. Very attentive, friendly and polite staff and owner. Spotless bedroom. Located in centre of town.

The breakfast was brilliant and in a superb area . We wearable to come and go freely and the surrounding countryside was absolutely excellent . The beer was good value and also the food.we will definitely be returning soon
