This is a really lovely Guest House, ideally located for Carlisle town centre, the railway station and bus services. The decor is tasteful, my room was clean and my bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot. I was given a warm welcome and made to feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my stay.
Everything was as expected. No complaints at all.

Despite being located on the main route through Carlisle to the East, the house is quiet inside and there is a large car park for those who travel by car. The room was spotlessley cleaned every day I stayed and the decoration of the Victorian pile is also done to a high standard. Breakfast was lovely, and generous.
My single room was crammed with furniture and I could have done without the stool alongside the chair. The lighting at breakfast was very dim with only table lamps lit and without a radio or music playing it was a bit like a library experience. My biggest gripe though is the small amount of coffee served in large cafetieres - be more generous guys!

we ordered breakfast for 7.30 am, cooked English for me , continental for my wife, it was ready each morning and excellent plenty of toast available too, nice dining room and friendly service, the room was excellent, very comfortable bed and nicely furnished
Unfortunately the house is situated on a very busy road, so traffic noise during the day and night was constant, didn't stop us sleeping, however the windows could be more adequately soundproofed with an inner screen for sleeping hours .

The room was comfortable and well furnished. The owners were friendly and extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A good choice of items on the breakfast menu, including a full English. I asked for porridge which was not on the menu and they specially made it for me.
A little way out from the city but just a 10 / 15 min walk to restaurants and bars. The room we had was at the front of the house and over looked a busy road. The traffic noise was quite loud

Lovely welcome, excellent decor. Probably the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! I'm so fussy about fried eggs (I like the white to be cooked on top and even in the best places this has not been the case!) Here, they are done to perfection. Lovely stay, I highly recommend
This is a very minor detail (and would not personally put me off staying again) the electric shower needs an upgrade. It made zero difference to me, but I prefer a cool shower

Breakfast was good - a choice of cereals, followed by a cooked breakfast (of which I chose what I wanted), toast and coffee. Room was basic but comfortable.
Two things to address: 1) The description implied ample parking. Only three spaces in the car park (and very difficult to access); local street parking requires a permit and, fortunately, I was offered one when checking in. This should be clearer in the listing, so guests know what to expect. 2) The window in my room (overlooking the main road) was difficult to close fully, so there was traffic noise most of the time (albeit peaceful between 1 and 5am).

Possibly the best hotel bed I have experienced in a hotel or guest house. Really comfy and a good size. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Short walk to the city centre and despite having a room facing the road there was very little noise and got a good nights sleep.
Parking at the front of the guest house is very tight, I gave up as my car is quite large so ended up finding on street parking nearby which is no easy task as nearly all the streets nearby are permit holders only.

My room was quite small, but all the essentials were there, and everything worked. Breakfast was very good - full English available. I would be very happy to stay here again. The B&B is a Victorian property in an area of similar houses, on a main road. Carlisle Station is a 10-minute walk away, with no hills, as is the city centre!
Nothing.

the guest house is very warm and welcoming. I think it was the owners father who was doing the breakfasts. It was good to see his bright smiley face on a morning. Each morning had a good chat with him. The rooms were warm and cosy. If you wanted an Ironing board all you needed to do was ask.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about this place.

It was very clean, tastefully decorated and furnished. Room supplied with tea and coffee making which was very welcome. Convenient for us, needed a one night stopover. Overall felt it was good value.
Road noise. Had to choose what we wanted for breakfast as soon as we arrived, less than ideal when you're worn out after all day on the road having to know what you will want for breakfast. Mattress VERY soft.
