Beautiful accommodation and lovely host. Our rooms were lovely with wonderful period features and decor. Located in a quiet residential street with free parking a short walk from restaurants and town centre. Breakfast was great and the host was really friendly and told us about the history of the property.

Warwick lodge is a delightful accommodation in a very convenient part of the city. It is very cosy and beautifully decorated. It’s easy to walk to sights and restaurants from there. It is also a convenient location for driving to and from Carlisle. The owner is a charming woman and she made us a lovely breakfast and was very accommodating. The breakfast room has a fire and is available during the day, which is a very cosy option.

The bed was a double so a bit tight. Tricky for tall people. I appreciate this was necessary for the room, however.

Classic decor combined with modern amenities made for a great overnight stop. The room was large with a very pleasant street view, yet quiet. The shower was strong with stable water temperature. Linens were pleasantly fragrant and the bed was comfortable, making for a very restful night of sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Parking was free and right outside the front door. A 5-10 minute walk towards town center provided a number of restaurants with tastes for every palate (including ours). The lodge's proprietor is one of the nicest people we've encountered during our travels. All in all, a short but enjoyable stay at a strongly recommended property.

This cosy lodge is well situated in short walking distance from central Carlisle, in close proximity to the bus station with links to the Lake District as well as to Hadrian‘s Wall Path nearby. We had a beautiful quiet and clean room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was full English, but was tailored to our daily cravings. We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge thanks to our lovely host Caron.

We only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. Our room was lovely, bed and pillows were so comfortable, the shower was nice and hot and very powerful. Everything was spotlessly clean. Caron our host was so lovely and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We both had a full English which we enjoyed immensely. There was also toast, cereals, yoghurt, brioche buns, jams and fruit. The choice was fantastic. Would recommend 100%

Beautiful house, gorgeous decor, very comfortable, relaxing room. Very clean. Breakfast was very good indeed, plenty of choice and well prepared. Karen, the owner, was lovely, very welcoming and pleasant.

Would have liked to have been able to book in a little earlier. Perhaps contact the owner to see if that would be possible next time.

Caron was a wonderful host. Couldn't do enough for us. So friendly and happy 😊. Amazingly beautiful property which is spotless. Also Becky (Caron's daughter) is lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy and the whole location is fabulous. If you need to spend time in Carlisle, stay at Warwick Lodge!! PS The Beehive Pub (within walking distance) does really good food for your evening meal!!

The weather!

Everything. The guest house was homely furnished...and was nicely decorated and room..bedding ..bed linen mattress all perfect...all tastefully decorated ...ensuite bathroom perfect and city view good too....breakfast included too..was handy as was working later in city centre..before travelling by train for more work..hostess friendly and thoughtful

Nothing..everything fitted bill.

The room was tastefully decorated and furnished . The bed was luxurious and the bedding was of a superior quality . The bathroom was spacious, very clean and scented making it fresh at all times. The blinds were of the blackout type and so an early daybreak would not disturb sleep. The windows are well insulated and so noise levels were minimal and our sleep was uninterrupted despite there being a storm overnight . The room had a large radiator which was easy to adjust to a temperature to suit. The property is tastefully and richly decorated throughout , the room had some really nice artwork on many of the walls. The communal dining room was eclectic in its decoration and well laid out , tying table to room number makes it easy to select where you would sit for breakfast . There was plenty of choice and Caron is an excellent cook because the breakfast was delicious and well presented . With three tables occupied and everyone asking for different options it was all presented surprisingly expediently to all guests and considering Caron does everything herself extraordinary. One wonderful touch was the history of the dwelling which is contained within the visitors information book , fascinating to know the buildings history of where you are staying. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone it was a delightful stay so thank you so so much Caron.

Nothing about the stay could be improved the only thing I found strange and while perfectly functional the wardrobe in our room [2] does not really match the rest of the decor and although I would not have been so impertinent to ask Caron why it was there I am curious to know why she chose to utilise what seems to be a period piece.

This is the most beautiful character full home. As soon as we walked in the door Caron the owner made us feel most welcome with her warmth and joy of life.

We loved the olde world character that it retained whilst providing modern facilities. It felt like home rather than renting a room. What a pleasure it was to feel that ambience after a long flight from Australia.
