Friendly reception on arrival and departure, all staff encountered during our stay were polite and attentive. We had drinks in the bar which was a good selection. We had breakfast (pay at the property) continental and cooked, which was good quality and cooked well. Our room was clean, well decorated, kettle with both tea and coffee supplied, large comfortable bed and bedding. We also had a fantastic view! En-suite was a good size and toiletries provided. There was an ironing board and iron for use situated in the hallway. Great value for money!

Not a dislike, just so others are aware. There is limited, tight parking outside reception. Plenty of extra parking on the grounds, access to hotel from there is either via steps or a walk up the ramp.

Fantastic value for money. Great location with some lovely walks straight out of the hotel (Parc Howard and the old railway line). Very reasonably priced bar and restaurant. Comfortably furnished with a really nice relaxed ambience. Clean throughout. Great room service that never disturbed us when we were in our room. Huge comfortable bed. USB sockets near bed and plenty of sockets. Shower was excellent. Clean towels every day even though we folded towels onto the rack intending to reuse them. Decent tea and coffee and plenty of milk provided plus bottled water.

This is nit picking and didn’t detract from our very enjoyable stay but since you ask: It was hard to find the car parking close to entrance on arrival the first time. It was dark, the lighting isn’t great and there were no obvious signs to the upper car park. Car park space markings are difficult to see in lower car park. The towel rail was so close to the wall it felt like a workout to get the towels out, and back on the rail after use. The bath is raised to accommodate the low level lighting - this is a nice touch but it makes the bath harder to climb into and there are no grab rails to help with this. The bottom of the bath is steeply curved so it doesn’t feel very safe to stand up when showering as you can’t put your feet in a comfortable stance.

Large comfortable bedroom, with table and chairs. Lots of mirrors. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Good bathroom with shower. Plenty of parking. Nice location with hills behind and overlooking bay. Restaurant room with view. Mature trees and Parc Howard nearby.

Dark bar with no windows for meals as restaurant room only currently used for breakfast. Wasn’t aware of this when I booked. Was told weddings were held there on weekends and to expect noise, but the hotel was very quiet. Hotel not as old as expected as castellations on front are fake, and my ground floor room on the side overlooked houses.

The staff were all so friendly can't praise them enough. So hard working too. Nothing was too much trouble and always with a friendly smile. Clean and spacious room. Impressive reception and breakfast room I like a quiet hotel so I can sleep and it certainly was. The hotel is obviously a work in progress but our room (upgraded to double sea view ) was clean and tastefully decorated. Serviced daily by a smiley young lady. Our bathroom was dated but clean. Shower good. Don't be put off by reviews of poor rooms they are doing their best and excellent value for money. We walked the cycle path from just outside hotel to millennium walk by the beach daily.. An excellent facility we walked to Burry Port one day and can recommend. We did catch the bus for return journey though.

If being picky didn't like eating in conservatory no atmosphere or view. The food however was excellent and not expensive..

Upon arrival, there was a carpark as you drive in, this is where I parked and had to walk up lots of steps to get to the hotel. If you keep driving past the initial car park on your right and follow it around to the left, there is a smaller carpark at the top which would be recommended for elderly or disabled customers. Reception was great, checked in immediately and was notified of any works including the lift being out of order. 2nd floor so wasn't too many more steps to deal with. Room service was prompt and delivered in good time. Good selection of drinks from the bar but limited snacks. The breakfast was very good and a good selection of fruit, cereals and hot food. Breakfast was excellent ,Staff very helpful.. we were there for very short period . Rooms big , clean and good linen etc.

It is currently going through refurbishment and renewall after change of ownership and previous owners perhaps "letting thing go " so some areas looked a bit ..."tired". Also the lift was out if order, but we asked and got ground floor room. Wanted at 4 star is based upon perhaps how it was when I stayed previously ...10 years ago. Remains to be seen if it gets back there but claiming 4 star presently is questionable. But do not want to let this detract from an enjoyable stay.

I was pleasantly surprised by Stradey Park. The price was fantastic, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The rooms were clean, with a large, cozy bed, and the location offers beautiful views of the town and coastline on clear days. The highlight, however, was the food – it completely blew me away! The hotel seems to have a very talented and passionate chef, the meals were phenomenal. As a chef myself, I have to give a special mention to the quality of the cuisine. It was truly a standout feature of my stay.

While the overall experience was great, the reception could use some improvement. The staff were attentive, but the initial interaction at check-in felt unenthusiastic. The reception is the first point of contact, so a friendlier and more engaging attitude would have made for a better first impression. Additionally, the bathroom was adequate, though not perfect, which is understandable since the hotel is still in the process of reopening.

the evening meal we had in the bar was very good. It was tasty and very well presented. I had haloumi sticks and salad with garlic bread and my friend had soup. Then we had Bara Brith with ice cream which was lovely too. And good wine, nice beer and my friend had tea which was lovely. Breakfast we good too, we had fruit and cereal, there was lots of fruit which was good. The bread was lovely and I was pleased to see there were poached eggs. The mushrooms were tasty too. The room was good and the shower worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The lift wasn't working so we had to carry our bags upstairs.

The room was clean and spacious with a table and chairs to sit on instead of sitting in the bed when you wanted to relax. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

We had an evening meal there on the first night which was disappointing. The croquette as a starter was hard and burnt on the outside and the inside dry and tasteless. Left it. The gammon was chewy and again ended up leaving some of that. There are nicer places in Llanelli to have an evening meal. Could do with better lighting in the bedroom

From the moment we arrived, the staff were engaged and friendly. We arrived just before 20.00 and were hungry so headed to the hotel restaurant where we were greeted with a smile and subsequently a delicious meal. Enjoyed a great nights sleep in our beautiful room and woke to the glorious view of the sea. Breakfast was a buffet and was plentiful, lots of choice and delicious. On checking out, the staff were once again friendly and helpful. If we were heading back that way, we’d definitely stay agsin and will recommend it to everyone we know.
