Absolutely loved our stay at The Foxham - genuinely some of the best hospitality I have experienced in the UK from the minute we stepped in the door! From arriving on Thursday evening and having a great meal in the restaurant (Cornish dressed crab is a must and the fish and chips were perfect and ginormous), we had a few beers in the bar after which was really quiet and chilled! We ended up adding the full English on in the morning and it was so worth it - all locally sourced produce which is such a nice touch. The room had lovely linen, comfy beds and fluffy white towels!

Nothing not to like - the only tiny critique is that there was no shower gel in the dispenser

a wonderful welcome by staff, dogs equally welcomed. Good Food. even given my negative comments (which i hope will be helpful for some thoughts fir changes), if the need arose I would happily stay again.

The shower cubicle is tired, too small, needs updating. room was too hot, even with window open, and the duvet and pillow were synthetic, would have been so much cooler and comfortable with feather. Cooked breakfast was over priced so had just the continental,. I always look forward to bacon and eggs when I'm away so I missed that greatly!

Location was remote and quite which was wanted, food was great, facilities in room were great with Netflix, bed was comfy.

Cost of food in the restaurant was quite high with a lot of fish courses, some areas of the bathroom in the room need attention, mold in the shower, loose taps. Wasn't a fan of the salmon with my poached eggs in the morning for breakfast, yes I ordered it but the salmon was a bit too thick for me. A handle on the door would be nice to close it properly instead of having to put the key in the lock.

Super friendly front of house team. Greeted well, made us very comfortable and also helped arrange a local taxi for us without any hassle whatsoever. Really no complaints here!

Was a shame that the cooked breakfast was an additional charge (£15 pp). Completley understand that it's a very small venue and they would need to accommodate for the chef/cook to come in early to prepare this. But the link was broken on their website https://thefoxham.co.uk/breakfast-at-the-foxham/ so didn't spot this!

Sunday lunch - Beef Wellington was excellent - thoroughly enjoyed this, together with very crispy roast potatoes. Breakfast - full English also excellent with quality ingredients - lovely bacon and sausages

The shower! Very small showerhead and appeared to be caked in limescale, which I tried to remove. The water coming from the showerhead was disappointing - not much flow and no 'rainfall'. It was difficult to properly wash and shampoo my hair. Disappointing.

The Foxham Inn is a little gem! Beautifully situated in the countryside, the Foxham is a really good restaurant, known for its fish specialities. With much love and dedication, the team not only looks after the guests during lunch and dinner, but also fulfils all the wishes of the guests staying in the two small rooms above the restaurant. The breakfast, which was freshly prepared for us every day, was really delicious and always gave us a good start to the day. The rooms have everything you need, starting from a comfy bed, a tv, free Wifi, an on suite bathroom and a nice quiet surrounding. And if you fancy a good meal or a cold drink, you just have to walk down the stairs or drive to the sister Pub "The Rising Sun" in Christian Malford (1,5 miles) - brilliant! We felt completely at home at the Foxham Inn and would be very happy to come back again!

It is in the countryside in a very quiet location. Our room was spotlessly clean. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Feels like a very well run establishment. It has a restaurant serving exceptionally good food, locally sourced and freshly prepared. We had bread and olives to start then steak and a mushroom risotto - utterly delicious. The continental breakfast was good with genuine ingredients. The natural yogurt was super creamy and the ham was the proper stuff. If you like good food this place is for you!

We arrived during a heatwave and our room was very hot. There was a fan.

Service was amazing, such friendly people!! Couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Food was exceptional!!! We dine out a lot but this was definitely one of the best places we have eaten for a long while. Accommodating of our dog, made us feel very welcome.

Maybe look at a somehow improving the showers, there is nothing bette at the end of the day than a lively hot powerful shower. It didn’t spoil our stay and I’m not moaning but just an observation…..

It was our first accommodation on this trip and we found it to be very nice. The Foxham is in a lovely rural location; is very cosy due to only two rooms and has an excellent restaurant with an upscale menu that local guests very much appreciate. The staff was remarkably friendly and very caring about the guests' well-being. We especially enjoyed the conversations with one of the staff members (Mario) later in the evening, whom we would have liked to visit on our return trip, but unfortunately that didn't work out in the end and we felt very sorry about that. For breakfast we could choose from everything and it was made fresh for us. The Foxham not only satisfied our expectation of a "proper" accommodation in England - it exceeded it and we loved it.

Cooked full English breakfast with orange juice and selection of tea and coffee. Was delicious and rounded off our stay nicely! We felt the hotel and restaurant was a hidden gem, booked a table last minute and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the ambiance created!! We then had drinks in the pub following our delicious meal and again had a wonderful experience with great range of drinks, including a cocktail on the house each!! A lovely way to round off the evening! These rooms at the front of the pub had a beautiful fireplace that wasn’t lit due to being in middle of summer but can imagine this would only add to the cosiness of the evening.
