The staff were fabulous, hotel was spotless and comfortable. The bars/restaurant were comfortable and beautifully decorated, loved the traditional snug with log fire. Our room was lovely, super king bed & walk in shower and bath. Tea and coffee facilities were plentiful with the addition of homemade flapjacks on the first day. Our room overlooked lovely seating areas outside in a well kept garden plus a sheltered, heated area and an outside bar which I imagine would be fabulous in the summer months
Food, although lovely, was overpriced with service charge added on, we would have tipped for good service anyway but didn't like being expected to do so, just a minor quibble. Location was not a village as I expected, just a main road really. The car park was full when we arrived so consequently we came back early from our exploration of nearby villages the next day in case we couldn't find a space on our return, so didnt really make the most of our weekend in the beautiful Cotswolds area. We feel the addition of spaces reserved just for hotel guests would be an advantage, again a minor quibble

The room and facilities were lovely, we were very comfortable. The food was good quality using locally sourced ingredients, but wasn't cooked to my taste sadly. My husband enjoyed his evening main meal, but I didn't enjoy my main (the pie) I found the pastry over seasoned and firm and the pudding (apple crumble) was not an apple crumble to my mind, more of a granola bowl! But the cooked breakfast was lovely, not a great deal of choice for kids, but our little one was happy.
The set breakfast time was too late for a toddler, there is the option to book an earlier time for the continental breakfast only, but as I say it was quite sparse and we weren't told with enough notice that there was the option of bookingan earlier time, sadly.

Every single member of staff we met was friendly and polite. The Inn is beautiful and clean with plenty of room. The bathroom was huge, which was great with two kids at bathtime! Breakfast was 'yummy' (my sons accurate description) and the lady looking after us was so unbelievably patient and helpful. We also enjoyed a lovely evening meal - the peas with the fish and chips are delicious! The pictures online are lovely but the Inn was much more beautiful in person. The complimentary flapjacks were a tasy, welcome addition! We are looking forward to returning in the summer after such a great stay.
The only thing we thought could be better was the WIFI but this said, the weather outside was wet and very windy so I'm sure it was simply down to the conditions outside. I have to say, you'll struggle to find any fault here.

The Inn was phenomenally maintained. The atmosphere was fabulous. Owner Tracey and her team took good care of us. Loved the food and drinks. The 4 poster bed was cosy and tidied up daily. It made our 4-night stay fantastic. Also, really close to the Shipton station. Walkable distance to the village shops in Milton-under-Wychwood. Bus service to Witney was available on weekdays from the nearby bus stop. Our stay in Cotswolds was made special by the stay here.
Nothing to dislike. However, the hot water tap in the basin may need some repair as it was difficult to turn at times.

The Wychwood Inn is easy to locate because it's on the main road that runs through the village. There is ample parking. The communal areas are very clean and well presented. There is a beer garden/court yard at the rear of the property. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was included with the stay and there are plenty of options to cater for all tastes. The King room and ensuite bathroom are spacious, clean and provide the opportunity to relax. There are complimentary beverages, sweet treats, bathroom shower gel and use of equipment i.e. TV, hairdryer, iron. I would stay again.
There was nothing I did not like.

Comfortable room / very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom with a very good shower unit, although the toiletries were a bit of a mixed bag. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was good for where we wanted to visit. Car parking was available on site, which is always a bonus.
The room was quite small for a de-luxe room. It only had seating for one person. The en-suite bathroom was big, some of that space would be better as part of the room area. Whilst breakfast was nicely presented, there wasn't a great choice on the cooked options. Full breakfast or scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Croissants were an option on the menu but not the days we stayed with deliveries due on the day we left. The dinner served in the restaurant also had a restricted menu unless you wanted burgers or pizza. The other options available were expensive for what you got. (Fish and Chips / Pie ), skimpy on veg and potatoes etc.

The location was perfect for the villages we wanted to visit during our stay. It was an advantage to have a bar, restaurant, and lots of places inside and outside (weather permitting) to sit and relax. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and happy to assist if required. The meals were very tasty and cooked to order.
We liked our room but just a couple of points that perhaps could be improved on.The lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter for shaving. The complementary tea and coffee was inside the wardrobe, so a light in there would be useful.

A very comfy and cosy place, located in a very picturesque area. The staff were amazing and even left some continental breakfast out for us, as we were getting up too early. Had dinner here twice and both times everything was delicious! The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge! Would definitely recommend giving this place a try and we'll definitely be coming back
Absolutely nothing to moan about!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and bed. Quiet and peaceful.
Nothing major wrong with the place, and everything I noticed could be easily remedied. One of the tea cups was dirty. Cold tap on bath was loose. One bulb was out in bathroom. Double socket by bed was not fully attached to wall (rattled about when installing/removing plug) and one of its outlets didn't seem to work None of this detracted from my stay as a whole though..
